I've been going to Sky Nails for a couple of years now but not on a regular basis. Whenever I want to get my eyebrows and upper lip waxed, I come here because it's only $10 for both. I don't always get my nails done, maybe once a year, and they've done a good job each time except for one my nails starting chipping the next day (most likely because of old nail polish). I'm not super picky when it comes to my nails, but if you want a really good job I'd probably try somewhere else. But if you don't want to pay a lot I'd try this place out. read more

Came in for acrylic and gel today and the guy did a very nice job. Everyone is so nice and the only reason why I'm giving it three stars and not five is because I had to wait about 25 mins before they could start on me. It's understandable because I didn't set up an appointment but three other people came in after me and they got seated right away. I had some extra time to spare before work anyways so I was like "alright whatever". Besides that, service is ok and cheap. This is definitely a no-frills kinda nail place but that's fine by me because the prices are great and the service is good. Lynn the owner is down to earth and she did a great job on my gel nails, even redoing two of them free of charge one week later when they started peeling because my nails grow so damn fast and I wet them all the time at work. I tipped her anyway as a thank you for taking the time. Jenny did my pedi and she cleaned up an outer edge on my left big toe that was left behind by the last pedicurist, that was starting to hurt like a biatch. I left Sky Nails pain free and two weeks later, my pedi still looks good, and with regular polish too! Not bad for $12! I go somewhere else outta the way for a more pampering experience, with the modern decor and the zen music, but I will be back to support this local business whenever poss. I always come to this place because it's one of the cheapest place I know. They remodeled this place a couple months ago and it's really clean and looking good! The people there are really nice, and most of the ladies (besides one) are really good with pedicures. Pedicures Mon - Thursdays are 12 dollars on the massage chair! Where can you find that?!!?! This is a convenient place to go when I need my nails or eyebrows done since it's literally down the street from my house, but to be honest I do not go here if I want a full set done because for some reason their gel is really cloudy, and I like when my full set looks like they're natural. They're prices match their surrounding competitors so I guess there's not much to compare that to. As a regular they always welcome me and I wait no less than 5 minutes for whatever service I need done. (Guess it pays off to be a generous tipper). With that said, they tend to get really busy around 3/4 after school and definitely busy over the weekends (plus their prices go up like $5 over the weekend or something) so if you really aren't looking for a wait then lunch time is your best bet. Update for my mani. After less than a week and a half my mani gel totally started peeling off!! It was lifting on all my nails so I was trying to be careful but as I was combing my hair it just peeled completely off one of my nails. I took it all off. Pointless. My coworkers mani started chipping and cracking. Really!? Cracks on gel!? However my pedi is still intact! Regular polish lasts longer than gel, how is that possible!? Not coming here again. I decided to give this place a shot because reviews were decent and I was pressed for time and didnt have an hour or so to spend getting a pedi. I think I was in and out of there in less than 40 minutes. It is $12, but you definitely get what you pay for. I will most likely not return unless desperation leaves me no choice. --bring your own polish, their selection is 2 star --the lady tried many times to make conversation, but I wasnt really in the mood...bring your phone fully charged so you can stay glued to your screen. I think she got the hint. --my pedicure was messy, even after she tried to clean it up, going around the edges with a brush. it looked a bit sloppy and like something one could do at home. --she cut my first big toe nail crooked, so it did look like it was shaved off on one end. This was the clincher for me. I didn't make a fuss about this at all because she's an older lady and I'm at a $12 pedicure place. read more

Me and my friend went in for a pedicure a few days ago... The one guy did pretty well on my toes but as far as my friends toes went, the guy cut them too crooked and too short. Because we're customers, we assume that they ask because they are supposed to do it all to OUR liking since we're the ones paying. My friend was very upset but I guess the owner was nice enough to knock off $5... A gel pedicure is also $40 on up and the people who do the pedicures don't seem experienced at all. They only leave your feet to soak for 3 minutes and they don't take their time at all. They don't include everything like they should in their "luxury" pedi. It def should not be $40 if they can't take their time and include everything. Anyways, NICKY AND ANDREA are the only ones to be trusted when it comes to nails and eyebrows. I should trust Yelp review and not wasted my time trying this place. Got there on time, waited 15 mins and the person I booked was still helping another customer. I understand nail place sometimes do fall behind schedule but they didn't even offers to have somebody else help me. When I stood up finally I saw he just barely finished putting on acrylic. Filing and nail polish will take another 30 mins. I told them my appointment time and they just looked at me like it's a normal routine that customers should wait. This place is really hit and miss. My friends and I have been coming here occasionally for a year or so. There's one lady (don't know her name sorry, but she has medium length hair past her shoulders) who does a really great job. She's detailed and takes her time perfecting the polish. However, on the few times when they are busy and only other ladies are available. There is this one lady with glasses that is especially bad at doing nails. She mostly looks like she was bored when she does our nails. She filed nail dust all over my friends shirt, then filed on her nail bed instead of her nail, scratching the skin. She wasn't even looking at our nails when she was painting them; which left the polish streaky and uneven. She also would over paint the nail, getting nail polish on the skin, and then use a brush with acetone to wipe off the nail polish on the skin. We would still go back because Sky Nails is cheaper than some other places, but I think we would only go if they lady who does a good job is available. read more

Best place ever. Cheapest prices I've ever seen, and the quality is decent, considering the price. I've never had a problem here. I mean, it's not high-end, but I've always walked away completely satisfied. No one's ever cut me with the cuticle scissors, which happened one time at another nail salon. I came to this nail place yesterday due to being in the neighborhood and will be my last. I came in asking for a manicure and pedicure and they were pretty full and I asked how long the wait would be and they said not long. I only waited for about 15 mins they someone finally took. With in 20 mins someone walked in and started getting impatient the lady who was waiting on me took off her gloves and said give me 5 mins she was going to help that lady who just had a broken finger nail. And my answer to her was "do I have to leave" and she put her glove back on and finished my pedicure and was going too fast. When she was done she told me that someone else would do my manicure and she went to go work on someone else with in 5 mins I decided to leave and I told the lady seems like your too busy to wait on me so I just payed and left with no tip. I know there's lots of competition out there and a nail salon in every corner and i know they need business but seems like when it gets busy they try to Multi task to try to make people happy. I understand waiting is a pain but it's no good customer service to abandon someone to go try to go work on someone else read more

I went to this nail place a few times before to get my nails done and it was decent. Of course they talked a lot and made you feel really uncomfortable like they were talking about you but what cheap nail salon doesn't do that? When I went to get my eyebrows waxed, the lady was extremely rude. She started insulting me about how I looked and told me that all my acne was because I eat too much (I'm actually rather thin). After insulting me about my skin and how sensitive I was, she actually got the wax on my eyelid and tried to blame it on me and how sensitive I was! It was the worst nail salon experience and I will never go here again. Not only was the lady rude but her job of waxing my eyebrows was very sloppy. She obviously should have concentrated on my eyebrows and not attempting to be a dermatologist. If you like being treated like dirt, and paying only a few dollars less than better competitors, than I suggest this place for you. I have been coming to this place for a while as it is inexpensive and convenient, but it is hit or miss with the quality of work. This week was the killer and I will not be going back. I went in for a pedicure and the lady kept jabbing me. She insisted I had an ingrown nail; I did not. After she polished them I went to sit under the UV dryer for the feet. Prior to my visit I had polished my own nails, so I figured why not dry my finger nails as well. After I was there for about 5 minutes, one of the employees actually came over to me and asked, "You get manicure?" She knew I had not and I told her, "no." She then fiercely shuts off the UV dryer where I had my hands and says, "Why you do that?" Do what, steal UV lighting? They acted as if I went to the register and took money. Who does that? Well, I got up, paid my bill and walked out. Needless to say, after being a regular customer for many years, I will not return. read more
