I see there is no recent reviews on this place so thought I'd leave my experience. I got my gel manicure done by Stacy. Reasonable price and love how it came out! She did really well with color matching my picture I found on Pinterest when I couldn't figure out the shade of blue. Was quickly done but the service was high quality. Was in and out in 30minutes. I'm used to getting gel manicures elsewhere and I leave with little bubbles on my nails or the polish is bumpy. Not this place! This is the first place I've tried where it's perfectly done with the shine and evenness and smoothness and best of all no little air bubbles! I think I've definitely found my new nail place! Highly recommend. Also, be aware there's no walk-ins and this place is by appointment only! When you arrive, the door is locked to make sure of this. So make sure you call before hand! I found this nail salon because I go to Tokyo Central all the time! The nail salon is near my boyfriend's house. I called this morning at around 9 and made an appointment at 12pm with Stacy. I was able to book an appointment the same day. I got an acrylic fill over my real nails. Stacy is the owner and she did my nails. She pays great attention to detail and she is very professional. Best nail salon I have been to!!! Great service and great prices. You have to call ahead of time and make an appointment to get your nails done but it's 110% worth it! When you go you're the only one being worked on and she moves pretty fast! I used to come here regularly pre-COVID and this time was my first time back. It was a very clean salon before and it looks even cleaner now. I appreciate all the precautions they have taken: taking appointments only, having the nail colors in a glass display (so people aren't leafing through them), the stations are set further apart with plastic dividers between everyone, etc. My gel manicure was done by Stacy and I could tell that she took her time to make sure everything was perfect! For my ombre design, she would redo each nail if it didn't look right before telling me to cure it. I appreciated all the detail she put in. I went with an off-white color for the tips since I wanted a more natural look. Current price is $30 for a gel manicure, extra $10 for the ombre design. A bargain for how good it looked! I've been coming here for quite some time now! I always go to Kim for my manicures and she always does such a great job! The wait can be quite long if you come after work or on the weekends so try to make an appointment prior to coming. Kim is very efficient and can complete a set of gel nails within 30-45 minutes and they come out amazing. She pays a lot of attention to detail as well. I'm usually not too picky about my pedicures but just make sure you check your polish before you leave. They tend to miss the sides sometimes. Super Rude and no customer service. If I can give no star, I won't come back again and no recommend it ever. As I saw the welcome walk-in sign , I walk in and asked first ! Remember : I asked first if they can do my mail now. Two nail technicians inside, one is working with one client , another one is free. The available technician walked to me and checked my old nails , which needed to be removed. She said yes , I said I want do cat eyes or Mirror chrome. She said yes. After she picked up two appointment calls, she started nagging me : Omg, you can't pick . ( however I just show her my phone pictures , she is still cleaning and doing the base process on my nails , not even on putting nail Polishes ) and she said to me : she can't doing my nail any longer. She only gave me one simple color and one time coating . And two nails with bubbles inside ( considered as defect nails ) If you cannot take walk-in clients, please say No . I have been coming here for years & frankly it is the best. Never too crowded - the most I have ever waited is 15 mins and I always do walk-ins not appointments. It is cash only but there are ATM's nearby at the donut shop and the 7-11 or you can get cash back at Tokyo Central next door. The staff is mostly quiet as is the atmosphere which is nice for a change. They are not overly nice but they are courteous and sincere. The prices are really good and the quality of the work is great. They don't advertise or post the services but they do waxing in addition to all general mani/pedi nail services. The owner doesn't smile alot but I think she is just if a quiet and serious nature. They really are all nice people. read more

I normally stay away from gel but because my hands have been in water too often, this time I wanted to get gel to keep the mani longer (and didn't have patience to wait for polish to dry). The only reason I give four star is the owner's (I guess that was the owner) attitude. I don't expect people to hug and kiss me and to be honest I hate fake people but I have been there couple of times and have never seen her smile to the customers. I feel like she is doing us a favor and we are paying for it. Anyway, the mani and pedi was good although most places give better massage afterwards. Kim gave me the exact mani I showed her. I've been going to this salon for years and the only reason I go is because it's 5 minuets from home, it's usually quiet and Kim does a good job especially if she's not in a hurry. I usually get the gel on my nails and it last 2-3 weeks without it peeling off. The only thing I don't like about this place is it's Cash only and when you walk in you will NEVER be greeted with a hello and for SURE not a smile, the customer service just isn't a priority. Not a hello, how are you, how's your day, a smile, NOTHING and depending on the kind of tip you leave you're lucky if you get a Thank you . The only one who will ever smile is the little cute older lady that wears the big curls pinned up on her hair. She doesn't say a word just smiles and she does a great pedicure! A posted price list would be helpful because I usually get a mani pedi and gel on my nails and it's $42 yesterday I went for just a regular mani pedi and It was $25 last time I had just a mani pedi it was $20 so it must have gone up. I will continue to go because I like Kim and it's convenient and just not really care if I get a pleasant greeting or not. I figure management knows people will keep going because they do good work so they don't have to make the effort to be polite or nice. read more

Vy's Nails is definitely a hit or miss. Sometimes I go in and they are friendly and super talkative, and sometimes they don't say one word to me. The quality is on point, and I love their work BUT I will go to other places just so I don't have to deal with the staff who may or may not be in a bad mood.
