Grew up in this neighborhood and used to come here for the meat and hummus appetizer all the time. I stopped by on 02/14 for a late night nostalgia visit and the waiter that helped us was the very same one I remember from way back when. The appetizer is still as tasty as ever. I stick with what I know here haha maybe I'll try other things if they seem to stand out to others but that meat and hummus with crispy pita chips is very filing and delicious. Honestly, the only reason I'm even taking the time to write this review is in the hope that management finally wakes up to the reality of what's happening at the Sky Lounge. When we tried to order food, our server admitted he didn't even know what the items on the menu were. After hours of waiting, we were told the dishes they prepared weren't good and that they had to start over. If you're coming here for food, I would think twice unless you're looking to be frustrated or risk food poisoning. We also ordered a hookah and mentioned that it was extremely harsh. The waiter simply turned away without a word. No apology, no adjustment, nothing. Overall, I would strongly recommend avoiding this place. Came here on a rainy Sunday night to get some hookah & food. I used to stop by much more regularly about 10 years ago... The furniture had not changed and decor hasn't changed. Staff was still friendly but the food quality has gone down considerably and unfortunately I found a square plastic "thing" in my wrap. After leaving the last restaurant that let us down, we stumbled upon Sky and the customer service was amazing. Our server/hostess was Kristina and she did an excellent job. She got out orders and drinks correct and out in a timely manner. She made sure to get every detail of my personal complicated order correct. I will definitely return to try their other menu items. The food came out in a timely manner, it tasted good, and the service here was amazing! The restaurant/eating area was separate from the smoking area which would be inconvenient for those who want to do both simultaneously but it's in accordance with the law which is the right way to do things. Also, it's nice that the smoking section is separate from the eating area because of health problems and the air quality when eating out here with younger children. I've been a regular at Sky Hookah Lounge for a while now, but my recent experiences have made me rethink my visits. The most frustrating thing is the constant hassle for my ID, despite the fact that I'm nearly 40 years old and have been a frequent customer. Every single time I go, even though they know my order and recognize my face, I'm asked for my ID--sometimes up to five times in a single visit. It's honestly insulting at this point. But that's not the worst part. The service is incredibly slow. I've had to wait up to 15 minutes just for someone to acknowledge my presence, and that's after sitting down and trying to get their attention. It's like they're too busy or distracted to care about their customers. On one occasion, after being asked for my ID for the fifth time, I asked to speak with the manager or owner to address the issue. The response? He just looked at me from behind a window and refused to engage. If that's how they treat regulars, it's no wonder the service is so bad. The atmosphere could be great--if only the customer service matched the potential. Sadly, I won't be returning anytime soon unless things improve. This has been one of the worst customer service experiences I've had at any hookah lounge. read more

I had my son's graduation party yesterday at SKY restaurant. Food was made to perfection.Meat was tender ( halal) , Succulent , and super fresh. Side dishes could not be any fresher. Generous portions. Authentic middle eastern cuisine . Food was super clean, and and delicious . Service was above and beyond. The waiter was courteous, friendly and eager to serve us . I purchased a Groupon recently for $79. (The description states that the initial value was $129). When we arrived to the restaurant around 7:15pm, there was nobody at the restaurant. No cars, guests or employees...only one individual at the door to seat us. The ambiance was decent, ambient lighting, comfortable seating, but it was a chilling 63 degrees. It so happened that we sat near a thermostat. We had to wear our jackets while eating. This affected the food as it was cold within minuets of receiving it. The appetizers came first, and the entree less than ten minutes after. Ten minutes later, the rice is a bit warmer than room temp and the meat is cold. Though the temperature of the food made a large effect on taste and quality, it still had decent flavor. The biggest disappointment is the deal that is posted on Groupon. For the Groupon, you should receive the "Sky mixed grill" for two and four appetizers. This is somewhat true, but what we received was one "Sky Mixed Grill" entree ($25.99) and a sampler platter with bread, hummus, house salad, falafel, and Lebne ($13.95). Even if the mixed grill was a larger portion that a single (which it wasn't as there was one skewer of each protein), it's still less than it would have cost me to buy each item individually, and significantly less than the declared value of the Groupon. We left about 8:50pm and there was a group of fiver persons out front for hookah and a couple inside for food. The service was sparse but there was still the one employee in the dining area. He was the Maitre D', busboy and server, so you can't fault him. There was supposed to be a dancer performing 45minutes later, but I opted to forgo the entertainment and end my experience. I should have included pictures of the food when it arrived but hunger was setting in and I had the thought way after the fact. read more

They will not come to the door without calling first to say you are there. i knocked on the door and waited 15-20 mins .knocked again and they turned the outdoor light off on me, and as i left they turn it back on. This is the second time this has happen but that last time they didn't answer the phone for me nor grubhub. Horrible customer service.
