After a picking up a couple items at some shops in the Main Place Mall I decided to stop here for an ice cream treat. I've been to several rolled ice cream places in the past (many of which are now gone as this seems to be a passing fad) but this one is certainly my least favorite. While unique in presentation, rolled ice cream just takes too long to make and just isn't as good as any other form of ice cream. This place is at one end of the mall, on the first floor, near the restrooms and the entrance to the bowling alley. I entered the shop and a woman emerged from a back room obviously not thrilled that a customer had arrived. I decided on their ice cream flavor "chocolicious" with chocolate chips as a topping. The "rolling pan" was turned on and it took a few minutes for it to reach a freezing temperature. It then took several more minutes for the liquid to be poured, frozen, and rolled. It took approximately 8 minutes from the time I ordered to being presented with the finished product. I sat outside the shop at one of several tables and found the rolled ice cream to be very hard. It took some effort for the provided plastic spoon to carve some off. The ice cream itself really had no flavor. Any chocolate flavor came from tiny pieces of chocolate plus chocolate syrup swirled within the rolls. A few chocolate chips were sprinkled on top too. One annoying thing about this place is that after you pay the ipad asks for a tip but there is plexiglass (which health organizations now say should be removed) between you and the touch screen so you have to tell them what you want to tip and they touch it for you. Ridiculous. This plus the lack of flavor, hard texture, and apathetic customer service makes this a pass.

Add Plexi and masks and you see the problem. However, when you approach to order, they'll ask you if it's your first time and explain everything you need to know. If we hadn't just had dinner, I might have ordered one of their "tacos" on a waffle cone as it looked delicious. Expect to spend a minimum of $8 per person, which is on par with Cold Stone Creamery. Once they take your order, they begin to make on their extremely cold metal dish. They pour fresh cream and whatever ingredients you ask for. Chop any additions up into tiny pieces, and start mixing the cream. The cream begins to freeze during the process. It's pretty labor-intensive and all I could think of was "what a great way to get out frustrations!" There are only two cold areas so they can only make 2 ice cream dishes at a time unless there are some hidden in the back. This means if there is a line, it's going to be a while before you get your ice cream. The ice cream itself is thinly rolled up rolls, and toppings are placed on top or around. Because it had just gotten off the cold plate, we found ours very hard to dig a spoon into. I ended up just biting off the top that sticking out of my bowl. The ice cream is very creamy and seems to lack chemicals or preservatives, which enhanced the flavor. As it melted and began to mesh together, it began to look like normal ice cream. Neither of us could finish out the entire dish, so I can guarantee you it's filling. However, if there was a line, we probably will not come here again because ice cream is usually a spontaneous decision for me and I'm not a fan of waiting.

I've never had rolled ice cream and I am SUPER glad I had it here!! It's located next to Round 1 and the moment you walk near, they welcome you in with such great demeanor and kind smiles. The choices they had for ice cream were sooo well put it just made it harder to choose. Strawberry banana, chocolicious, taro, boba Thai tea, and sooo many more! After you choose your ice cream flavor they ask you if you'd like a topping and yes!! Then they get to work with your ice cream! I saw how they were making my sister's strawberry banana and saw them chop in the freezer plate actual fruit. It looked so good and pretty neat as you can see how they make it. I chose chocolicious as chocolate is my absolute favorite . I asked for Oreos and whip. Just before handing me my cup they asked if I wished to top it with syrup. Of course I chose chocolate . They will recommend their choices but they know it's up to the customer what they want and don't want which is great. Ok I thought I was going to get like crumbled Oreo like other places, NOOOO. They actually put thought on presentation!! see the pictures of what I mean. Baby Oreos! Service: wonderful Price: well worth it! It was 6.99 for the cup which was super good and filling (we got the large) sorry if I'm wrong, my in law paid Taste: phenomenal Presentation: absolutely picture worthy So yes, stop by and shop small peeps!!

I came by there to get a quick dessert fix. The guy that helped us was very friendly and he really took the time to make our dessert look very nice an pretty. We got the banana nutella and It was good, the banana kind off overpowered the nutella. But it was still good. This store is located downstairs next to the bowling alley, with the signs that says .99cents scoop of ice cream!(smh)...oh boy they are gonna have some competition.

I went to the Optimetry place for my eye check up and saw this nifty little ice cream parlor place and decided to go over after my appointment. They weren't busy at all and I waited till the girl was finished helping the persons ahead of me while I viewed their menu and decided what I wanted. I got the Nutella Banana hand rolled over cream and oh man it was sooooo good!! The lady was super sweet and made sure I was able to get the toppings I wanted and liked. I highly recommend this place any time of year for some rich hand rolled ice cream. Great customer service and yummy ice cream!!

Went on a dessert date with my youngest son! Wanted to try something new.. went around 10am (I know early for ice cream, but it's summer, live a little) and was greeted by the owner. They had so many flavors to choose from and the owner walked us through what would be good together. My son got the cream caramel with chocolate syrup and I got the pistachio with almond topping. I was not expecting the ice cream to be as rich and delicious as it was! We were so happy. Great quality for the price, awesome service, a great way to kickoff the summer! read more

Waited 1 hour for 4 ice creams. I realize there was only one person waiting but it would have been nice if she warned people ordering that there would be a significant wait. I was going to ask for a refund but we got one of the kids' ice creams 20 minutes before the others so the other kids were expecting to get theirs next. Might not come back here again. read more

I was psyched to try the latest trend in ice cream presentation. Rolls! Ooooohhhh... I looked around and found this place. It is inside the Santa Ana Mall. Near the playground. 1st floor. We ordered - a large for me and a large for my wife. Hers was chocolatey... mine was rainbowy. I've got to say, it was fun watching them make my ice cream right in front of me. And they've got the roll technique down. My serving was topped with sprinkles (you get one free topping) and whipped cream. People are ordering this because it looks cool. I get it. That's why I tried it... and I am glad that I did. But I don't need to go back. I enjoyed my ice cream... minus one star for a strange aftertaste though and the guy making mine originally put it in the wrong size cup. It's a one and done experience for me though. read more

I was craving for desserts while playing at round 1. Then this shop appeared right next to it, and I wanted to try it out. I was greeted by a staff member when I walked in. He was very friendly, which means they'll have better customer service. They have a new special waffle taco, which is the picture I had taken above. The flavor I chose was taro madness with pretzel sticks, whipped cream, chocolate sauce, and almond along with the chocolate waffle taco. It tastes delicious that satisfies my cravings for desserts. He even gave me spoons and napkins as a very kind staff. Honestly the ice cream tastes delicious, but their customer service is amazing. I'll definitely go there often because of that. read more

I wanted to try this since it replaced a different ice cream place in the same spot in the mall. This place is located next to Round1. The procedure here is that one pays first, selecting the desired flavor and toppings. Then after that they will chill the ice cream in front of everyone, chopping up any applicable ingredients into it on a cold plate. Since the ice cream is being actively and visibly constructed it feels like one's tips would be better spent here as opposed to Cold Stone Creamery. The rolls here look more fun than just eating with a spoon anyway. Don't go on weekends! Yes it's busy and yes i have extra patience during these trying times but waited an extreme amount of time for a bubble ice cream...they originally said 15 minutes...passing 25 min I asked how much longer they said 2 min. I told her that if it was going to be longer i wanted my money back. The employee started arguing back that if i wanted my money back. She handed me the money and told me to go on my way. I told her I wanted the waffle and she made it on the spot but unwillingly...i had paid for it 2x already by then... So i recommend going when it's not busy so you can get your order. I went here 5 mins before they closed, and the lady who helped me still greeted me with a smile. I got the banana nutella ice cream, and it was so delicious!! My friend who normally does not eat anything sweet loved it as well. I can wait to come back and try it.
