After a picking up a couple items at some shops in the Main Place Mall I decided to stop here for an ice cream treat. I've been to several rolled ice cream places in the past (many of which are now gone as this seems to be a passing fad) but this one is certainly my least favorite. While unique in presentation, rolled ice cream just takes too long to make and just isn't as good as any other form of ice cream. This place is at one end of the mall, on the first floor, near the restrooms and the entrance to the bowling alley. I entered the shop and a woman emerged from a back room obviously not thrilled that a customer had arrived. I decided on their ice cream flavor "chocolicious" with chocolate chips as a topping. The "rolling pan" was turned on and it took a few minutes for it to reach a freezing temperature. It then took several more minutes for the liquid to be poured, frozen, and rolled. It took approximately 8 minutes from the time I ordered to being presented with the finished product. I sat outside the shop at one of several tables and found the rolled ice cream to be very hard. It took some effort for the provided plastic spoon to carve some off. The ice cream itself really had no flavor. Any chocolate flavor came from tiny pieces of chocolate plus chocolate syrup swirled within the rolls. A few chocolate chips were sprinkled on top too. One annoying thing about this place is that after you pay the ipad asks for a tip but there is plexiglass (which health organizations now say should be removed) between you and the touch screen so you have to tell them what you want to tip and they touch it for you. Ridiculous. This plus the lack of flavor, hard texture, and apathetic customer service makes this a pass. read more

Tried this place on a whim, and because there were no customers so no waiting. What you need to know is everything is made fresh after you order, which means 5-6 minute wait. In other words, this isn't Basken and Robbin's. The first challenge is it's loud if there are a lot of kids playing in the children's play area behind you. Add Plexi and masks and you see the problem. However, when you approach to order, they'll ask you if it's your first time and explain everything you need to know. If we hadn't just had dinner, I might have ordered one of their "tacos" on a waffle cone as it looked delicious. Expect to spend a minimum of $8 per person, which is on par with Cold Stone Creamery. Once they take your order, they begin to make on their extremely cold metal dish. They pour fresh cream and whatever ingredients you ask for. Chop any additions up into tiny pieces, and start mixing the cream. The cream begins to freeze during the process. It's pretty labor-intensive and all I could think of was "what a great way to get out frustrations!" There are only two cold areas so they can only make 2 ice cream dishes at a time unless there are some hidden in the back. This means if there is a line, it's going to be a while before you get your ice cream. The ice cream itself is thinly rolled up rolls, and toppings are placed on top or around. Because it had just gotten off the cold plate, we found ours very hard to dig a spoon into. I ended up just biting off the top that sticking out of my bowl. The ice cream is very creamy and seems to lack chemicals or preservatives, which enhanced the flavor. As it melted and began to mesh together, it began to look like normal ice cream. Neither of us could finish out the entire dish, so I can guarantee you it's filling. However, if there was a line, we probably will not come here again because ice cream is usually a spontaneous decision for me and I'm not a fan of waiting. read more

I wanted to try this since it replaced a different ice cream place in the same spot in the mall. This place is located next to Round1. The procedure here is that one pays first, selecting the desired flavor and toppings. Then after that they will chill the ice cream in front of everyone, chopping up any applicable ingredients into it on a cold plate. Since the ice cream is being actively and visibly constructed it feels like one's tips would be better spent here as opposed to Cold Stone Creamery. The rolls here look more fun than just eating with a spoon anyway. Although I also tried picking them up like egg rolls, but eating one whole one at once was too cold, and it was too cold to hold barehanded, of course. Either way, I think it was fun to eat the ice cream here. If seating is a requirement there is some next to the playground, though one can also just go into Round1 and watch some DDR players. For PokéStops, there's a Sprint PokéStop in this side of the mall, if one has good indoor reception. If not, there is one outside Round1's external entrance. read more
