Beautiful surroundings and very friendly kind people. The pools were crowded some days (especially over Easter weekend) there were not enough deck chairs, people had to sit on the ground. Also, there were babies in diapers and young children in the high temperature hot tubs. There was even a family dog (not a service dog) in the pool area! I feared for the cleanliness of the facility and the health of the swimmers. The game room does not allow children under the age of 18 "no exceptions ". Rules seem inconsistent , confusing and not enforced. Also, the cafe closed during our visit the 1st week in April so no food source unless you drive at least 20 to 30 minutes away. It would be nice to have a year round cafe or at least one through June. Despite these concerns we will be back, it's the people and serenity that make this place. read more

I want to give a fair and helpful review so I apologize if this is somewhat lengthy. I have stayed here twice in my RV. First the pros: the mineral pools are heavenly. Without them I probably would not return. The people who own places in the park are very nice. When I arrived at my site 226 the power was not operating as it should. I called and a repairman showed up within 10 mins - that's a plus. Now for the cons: I would not recommend site 226. It is not comfortable at all. I am not exaggerating.... probably 100,000 pokey stickers. So painful and ANNOYING. POPPED MY ELECTRIC BIKE TIRE THE SECOND DAY OF MY VACATION. I had to be diligent to make sure I wasn't tracking them into my RV because I travel with my dog. It made for a miserable trip. read more

Stayed in two rooms. Both were filthy and run down. Resort not well maintained. Amenities are not maintained well either. Staff are rude. Management makes excuses and does not take responsibility for anything. Utilities are constantly out. Stay anywhere else. This place is a joke. Theft is common. We had a wonderful four-night stay at this RV park in the beginning of March. People all around so friendly, the sites are newer, with 13 mineral pools to spend your day or evening at. We rented a golf cart and were able to get around since we have a Class A motorhome with no tow. Pet friendly & the weather was perfect, highly recommend. This beautiful resort is unfortunately under renovation/construction n the main entrance was closed n diverted to a very nasty dirt road, my husband got lost for 40 minutes, we almost left we got so mad, that said read to the end. It's a huge complex w I guess close to 1,000 mobile homes. My friend just bought a 2 br 2 baths for under $100,000. Outside it looked plain like all mobile homes you see in Orange county but inside this furnished home, everything was well appointed, most likely professionally decorated and looked like a dream house. My friend is a perfectionist n she's renovating so it's a little messy but still looks amazing to me. I think what I'm going to write is a public service to help those suffering of ailments that no doctors could help. The realtor had a rotten toe that dr told her had to be amputated but she decided to try minerals bath n it was nothing short of a miracle, it healed 100% after she bought her vacation home here. This resort is unique because the pool is heated to 90F n there are 7 jacuzzis all different temperatures. I stay at Aqua Soleil the pool water was cold so it was useless. I love it here tub water! I also took 2 bottles of this "magic" "holy water" home. My friend's husband had severe psoriasis n it was a miracle, 100% gone in 2 weeks!!! They sat in the jacuzzi n swam daily now they both look healthy as a horse!! I have heard of hot minerals springs but have never paid attention until now so any of you out there w problems, give it a shot w nature healing waters . I myself have mouth sores from eating Mexican food but obviously can't be helped sitting in the pool. I'll drink my 2 bottles n see what happens. Desert hot Springs is in the middle of nowhere so my husband is not interested in buying but we'll come to stay in hotels which by the way are all really cheap and they all have minerals pools. The only reason I rate this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of poor signage n there was nobody to offer direction, cell phone signal was weak n we wasted 40 min looking and it's located out of town. read more

My husband and I went there for the weekend and really enjoyed the view and cleanliness of the facility. With that said, it is an older community resort and everyone was so friendly. It's also a bit too far from Palm Springs compared to other resorts if you're trying to get to some hiking trails. The spots are also a bit tight since everyone is doing construction, will for sure be back if we want to just hangout in the resort. The market was awesome, I got a lot of Austrian sausages and pastries. She also bakes delicious gluten free cookies. The cafe is no longer open, just a seating area now so pack some food because it will be a 20 minute drive to town. read more

This is not a place for RVs. It's really a longterm community. There were only 2 other RV families nearby, the rest were permanent structures. The roads were not wide around corners for driving RVs. Golf carts, skate boards, bicycles at all hours without lights and driving too fast. There was not enough lighting on the path to the dog area. No bags were available. I was glad I brought plenty of my own. The dog area was not lit up so I had to follow my dog around to see where to clean up. There was no wifi contrary to their boasts about great wifi. This was a disaster as my daughter is a student. Very nice people, but RV people want to go to a more welcoming space. Not a "resort" at all. read more

This is an RV review. Stuck on a dirt lot over by the storage units with no wi-fi, no cell coverage, and no cable tv is not my idea of a good time. It's 108 degrees and not only does the office not answer the phone for me, they apparently don't answer it for anyone "Mailbox is full, and cannot accept any more messages, goodbye!" It seems Covid -19 has become an excuse to not offer service everywhere I go. It's a shame. Why 3 stars then? Well, if I'm being honest, walking around this place early morning, they have some very nice amenities, nice pool and adequate weight room, and parts of the resort are quite pretty, with little ponds, and ducks, swans, etc. I could see, if you lived here, had Verizon, and paid for cable internet, you might really like this place. I Just wished they cared more about their RV clients. Oh well. read more

I would have to say I was a little sceptical when I found and amazing deal 3 days before our Stagecoach trup. It was closer than driving home each night! When driving out I thought we were going into what appeared to be the set of The Hills Have Eyes movie, we came open this little gem and was pleasantly surprised when we saw how huge and NICE this place really was. What a cute community that offers many natural hot springs right at your finger tips! When we got inside we were so in awe at how cute this little place was! It's a fully furnished place with all the amenities you need. There are a few issues though....the wind is crazy here so there is a drive vent that slams over and over, all night mashing it hard to sleep. There is no cell phone service and very spotty Wi-Fi! If you want to remove yourself from the grid completely, this is the place. It was awful service. The on-site restaurant was delicious! It's pretty far from a grocery store so stock up when you get off the highway. It's a 30 minute drive to the nearest place. read more

The resort itself is amazing, but if you think you would like to purchase a place here, I would not recommend it. The main issue (and trust me it is immense) is you can never talk to a live person if you have a concern or request. No one is ever at the office, they do not respond to voicemails, emails or texts. Recently I purchased a 5ton new AC unit for my larger home in the park. As I was using a State approved contractor, my equipment was eligible for a State rebate. After providing the park with all the necessary documentation, they refused (due to a severe lack of initiative and obvious incompetence) to sign the rebate application. I understand they had some questions, so I worked with the Park's electric company to prove to Sky Valley that all they needed to do was sign to rebate form to prove I lived in the park. They refused, despite many cordial attempts to rectify (again not returning calls, voicemails, emails, etc). No one seems to be in charge. I now have to pursue a small claims court action in which, had their management been more attentive to their customer, all this could have been avoided. Let me say this again--I am filing a claim in court because they are refusing to sign my rebate form (they are the account holder as each unit in the park is sub-metered). I am befuddled as to their choice--it seems malicious at this point. read more

We loved this resort! So clean and beautiful. One direction you have palm trees, another you have the beautiful glowing hills, and another you have the white snow mountains (depending when you go). It is probably 90% older senior living resort but us young family (in our 30's) did not feel weird. My kids loved the many pools and the duck pond with the black swans. We also brought our dogs who loved it as well. We will be returning again and can't wait! read more

I definitely recommend this place if you're into hot sulphur mineral springs. The perimeter trail needs to be marked out better as you can see by one of the trail markers. They have two club houses and plenty of hot mineral pools. Something like 14 or so. Launderette, billiards room, meeting rooms, chaplain on site if you need one, mail service, sales office, dog park, botanical gardens, public toilets with showers and sauna, general store, and a bakery. Most of the tiny houses are very nice to stay in and some have two bedrooms. Just be honest when rating Airbnbs. We stayed in one(our 2nd trip) and it was pretty worn out(smelly stained couch, faucet fixtures coming right off, towel rack falling off the wall, blinds needing replacing, windows not locking, toilet and wash basin constantly clogging, wonky door locks and key locks.) Our Airbnb owner actually had the audacity to request we rate his place 5 stars! Be honest when rating Airbnbs! Overall, I recommend this place and will definitely return, but, to a different mini house. read more

We stayed here in our RV for two weeks and really enjoyed it! After staying at several RV parks across the country, I have to say this is one of the most well-managed and well-maintained we've seen. They were very upfront about one of the two clubhouse/pool areas being closed and notified us via email prior to arriving and made sure we knew the other clubhouse/pool area would remain open. I'd rather be slightly inconvenienced than stay in a place that doesn't invest in keeping their amenities up to date and running well. My expectations for on-site stores and cafes being open is pretty low post pandemic and after several other RV park experiences, so I was happy they were open to try their amazing pastries! Aside from all that, the staff was very friendly and helpful, especially Hyla in the mailroom -- such a sweetheart. The full-time residents were also very welcoming and kind. I appreciated the washout trail and all the nicely landscaped areas for dog walking. Seeing the way this park is run, my husband and I plan to check out their sister location in Arizona on the way back east. read more

Please read before you consider purchasing a property here. Since we had such a good experience in 2015, we decided to purchase a vacation home in the park. We do enjoy the pools and the neighbors very much, but in the last year or so there has been an uptick in crime that has coincided with a downgrade in security in the park. Each resident in the park is vetted prior to purchasing a unit here however, there is no vetting at all to any of the folks that rent a property either from a resident, the park or Air B&B type rentals. On top of that, the front gates to this gated community are left wide open and unattended all day long. I was told the gate needs to be open to support the restaurant business, so they leave the gate open when the restaurant is open.... the restaurant closed for most of August and September but the gate was open all day long and unattended. They do close them at night but the monthly code is commonly shared by tennants renting to short term renters and I have witnessed cars waiting in the parking lot to follow people in that have the code. I have personally had my vehicle broken into and so have a couple of our neighbors. Recently someone posted a warning on the bulletin board about their recent theft and another resident penned in their recent theft incident on the same posting. Knowing that management would quickly remove it, I snapped a picture that you can see in this review. Almost weekly during the day there are questionable folks that are using the pools. And also using the public restrooms and locker rooms for questionable activities. Last April, there was a shooting in the park and someone was killed. I assisted lost Sheriff Deputies find the address when they arrived. Details were never released when I inquired about it as I'm sure the management wanted to keep this under raps. It also was left off the monthly "Ranger" or security report. Each resident is required to pay a monthly fee for security and with over a thousand sites in this place, that should be enough to keep this place secure if they were serious about residents safety. I can't say enough great things about this place. Peaceful. Clean. The only constructive thing I can say is the this IS not the place to rent if you are seeking to party - it is a quiet place where people live OWN and live FT so if you rent short term treat it with respect. It was heaven for us. You can tell who came rolling in for short durations because they dumped garbage on the lawns and were loud. Played music with out headphones etc. There is so much to do....water aerobics, horse shoes, clubs, live music, close enough to everything but far enough too. They need to update their wireless and put cameras in the laundry rooms-someone had sticky fingers and stole my detergent, laundry bag and a few pieces of Laundry....which is weird. We love the little cafe too! read more

Timers here! The grounds were very clean and will kept. Our site was in with full-time residents, so it was very quite both day and night. There is a West and East area. We were in the East site with a beautiful pool/ spa area. The West side pool was empty, so we guess they were working on it? The restaurant they have here was ok, but not great as some of the reports I read early on this place. No cable TV and the WIFI was almost nonexistent, but did get emails, but websites was very very slow or couldn't get. We would stay here again as an overnight. read more

With all the available sites in June we where put in a pull through that requires removing tow vehicle. We did not have cable TV available our entire stay, no reason as to why "I don't know what to tell you" cafe not open. One trash area requires driving to. Half the amenities closed for cleaning, repairs or upgrades. No break in price, suggest not visiting at this time of the year. read more

We stayed 7 days. The hot pools and spas are great. I'd give it at least 4 stars if the construction and WiFi situations weren't present. Lots of noisy construction near our trailer, so that was a bit frustrating. The workers were polite and accommodating when I asked them to stop working near my trailer early on Saturday and Sunday, so not that big a deal. But really, should I have to ask for some quiet at 8am on a Sunday? Just ask if there is construction near your site so you know the deal before hand. The park is well maintained and it looks like the owners are investing. So we would go here again. The most significant issue was the internet situation. Plan on using your Verizon phone as a hot spot. ATT is non existent. The park staff recommended that we go to the Spectrum office in desert hot springs and get a WiFi modem. They promised that they had an agreement with Spectrum that allows visitors to use the high speed internet on the Spectrum line for free. While I believe that the park staff were dealing honestly with me, it just didn't turn out as easy or as free as they said it would be. The Spectrum office in desert hot springs was closed so I had to go to the Palm Springs office (30 min drive one way). It took a long time to get an account t set up, and when I returned the equipment at the end of week, the Spectrum staff had no idea what I was talking about and told me that I'd get a bill in the mail. So now I have a spectrum account that I never wanted and a bill coming in the mail. On top of that, I found that the spectrum representative didn't care about my problem, refused to research it, would not get a manager of supervisor to assist, and dismissed me with a customer service phone number on a sticky note. Pretty bad customer service in my opinion. Again, this is the Spectrum staff, not Sky Valley. The Sky Valley management was apologetic, but they told me that they would not call Spectrum to help me get this resolved. So even though they promised the high speed WiFi free of charge, it was not the case, and, they refused to help me get the issue resolved. I'll probably just pay the bill ($25) instead of spending 4 hours on the phone trying to get it resolved. To be fair, if I had known it would cost $25 I might have made the choice to go ahead and purchase the WiFi from Spectrum. But that wasn't the deal. If you have Verizon it probably isn't worth the considerable trouble. Again, nice place, nice people, but beware of the construction, and the WiFi situation is a cluster. read more

We are frequent visitors renting an elite RV spot in Sky Valley. With so many pools and hot tubs and temperatures you can find the perfect temperature of water you love to soak in. The cafe has great homemade pastries, sausages and sandwiches. Just finishing up a 10 stay thru the holidays. First visit during the winter. Nice change from our summertime visits. We love the resort and will be visiting again soon. read more

We have been meeting our friends at Sky Valley for several years now. We have brought our camper and stayed in RV sites as well as renting units both from Sky Valley as well as private owners. Driving up you see barren desert and in a depression there is a beautiful oasis. That is Sky Valley! It is filled with friendly, welcoming staff and residents. The pools are naturally warm and cooled to different temperatures. We like to shower right there before heading back to our camper and our hair is almost dry when we get back. I enjoy the water aerobics class when we can attend. There is pickle ball and horseshoes as well. The catch and release fishing is fun and the ponds are beautiful. The art in the Wild West Wash is a nice addition! If you want to relax, this is a great place to do so! read more

I've RVed here for years. Every time I have l've truly felt like I had a vacation. They have two sets of mineral water pools and hot tubs. It's awesome to get in a 90 degree full sized pool in the middle of winter. The park itself is a well kept mix of RV sites, park model homes and mobile homes. 3 small lakes complete with ducks and killer swans....lol. There's also pickle ball and tennis courts. Dog park and a smaller dog run. There was also a cafe but it was closed due to COVID but I here it may be on the way back. You can take walks through the large resort or venture out into the desert area around the park. Short drives take you to more hiking opportunities and Palm Springs and surrounding areas are only a 15 min or so drive away. The few complaints I have are it can be quite chilly and windy at times but frankly, while lounging in the hot pools, I just don't care. Cell service is a bit sketchy unless you have Verizon but I hear that's being worked on also. WiFi is just bad sorry to say. They could also use more garbage cans around the park as there's only a central trash facility. We like it here so much we wound up buying our own park model home and there are rentals available through the park or Air B&B etc. I'm actually reluctant to post this because this, to me, is a hidden gem that needs to be shared but I don't want it to get too crowded either! This is an all age park. An older review says 55+ which is not the case. read more

This is a review for a two-day rental from the property owner. Check in is allegedly until 11:30pm but no one was there when we arrived at 10:30pm. Given no instructions via email or at the gate, and no cell phone service at the gate, this was a pretty messed up thing to do. Note also that this place is a long drive from town. Only thing we've heard from property either before or after was some weird voicemails during our flight about how they wanted a CC number to take a deposit -- they already had it through the booking site (for a non refundable booking!!) so this was already a red flag. Very sketchy and inconsiderate. Took us three hours to find alternative lodging. Avoid big time. read more

Sky Valley Resort is as friendly and relaxing as it comes. I had booked a 2 month stay out here in my RV and am now planning to stay for 3 months. The resort staff is so incredibly friendly and accommodating, when my initial spot wasn't just right they offered me a few different options and I ended up with the most perfect little shaded spot by a pond with ducks and swans. They even called me to make sure that my move went well and that I liked my new spot. Everyone says hi out here and is really friendly, and the pools are dreamy and clean. The Wifi is not really strong so will get slow during peak times but I've got Verizon and can jump on the hot spot for streaming quality service. I'm very happy I chose Skye Valley for my stay! read more

AMAZING resort. We stayed in a modular home overlooking the pond and mountains and just had a lovely time. The different mineral pools/hot tubs were great to try out, the cafe at the pool had great food, the location was good (30 minutes to Palm Springs, 1 hour to Joshua Tree, one or two businesses around the area), and there were other facilities too that we didn't have a chance to use (tennis courts, and I still didn't figure out what pickle ball is). Just know this will be somewhat of an "unplugged" experience - almost no service if you have tmobile for miles around the resort. My only other complaint is that we had to leave :( read more

I prepared two nights and three days for a getaway weekend for me and my bf. A week before the checking in, I specifically told them that we are going to be late.. Friday @ 9:45pm we arrived at the reception/office and everything was closed. I lately realized that they sent me an email with instructions but then the gate code on it was wrong, my envelope wasn't there, no signal at all, good thing there was a FREE WIFI so there's that.. left a voicemail & emailed them about our situation and got nothing.. but after an hr and so, my bf talked to Barb & Steve (the sweet couple that is actually checking for the place to lock the facilities and make sure everything is good.. helped us out to look for a motel to stay, told us to come back the next day) Saturday morning, I got a call from Candice (sorry if I spelled that wrong) she told us that she saw our msgs & we are more than welcome to get a new place bc apparently our envelope was stolen and of course I wanted to come back bc we wanted to at least give it a chance & it was non refundable! but to my surprise, she happily fully refunded us and told us to check out as late as we want.. since we couldn't stay till Monday morning.. we happily stayed there for a night and 2 days.. It all turned out great! Loved the complete set kitchen, FREE wifi, the mini house was so cute & really convenient! We asked for a grill and they got us one.. We enjoyed the pool area.. we just hope in the future, they could have at least 1 person be in charge at the gate over the weekend.. or probably send out email of the gate code and have the envelope inside the facility so its more safe for the people that actually booked. 5 stars for Candace, Steve & Barb -- good customer service Used Booking.com read more

If you're visiting for vacation it might be a 4/5 but if you're looking to live here it's a different story. Yeah they have mineral pools, activities, lots of pickleball and other great things to do; plus your 20 minutes away from everything. But the new management/ staff have enforced some ridiculous rules, are overall annoying and unprofessional.. Talk to some people who live there before committing, they will fill you in. Also check if your stove is properly connected at the back. Seems someone went around the park and put plumbers tape on which gave everyone gas leaks! read more
