Came here with a large group that booked well over 100 sites. The resorts group coordinator, Juan, is top notch. He made booking a breeze and quickly handled a small hiccup that occurred on a misunderstanding. Check-in was smooth, the grounds are very well kept, and the events included were fun for all. The pool is nice however they don't tell you anywhere on the map that their showers are locked after 10 PM. I've never been to an RV park where you don't have access a shower on site. Should anything happen to your RV like ours did and needed to be serviced and we did not have to have access to our RV shower. The groundskeeper said he even looked at the map and agreed that it was listed nowhere on the e map that the showers close at 10 PM all that it says is the fitness center closes at 10, but that's not the same as a shower. I was not going to work out. I was going to shower. The two showers are located attached to the pool and I get that they want to close the pool off past 10 PM, but maybe they should build a separate shower for patrons separate from the pools so that if they need access and take showers after 10 o'clock that we have the option too. Also, there's no air conditioning in the bathrooms by the tennis courts. That was the only bathroom that's open 24 hours without a shower. There are bugs all over in the sink and the bathroom was 112° inside (at 10:30 at night) They should probably walk around the property as the ceilings are falling apart hopefully there's no mold in here that we are breathing. This is in the state of the Art workout facility with the ceiling about two pieces fall down. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one was because the pool was nice that's it. However, the pool was closed due to pool cleaning on our first night here. read more

3.75 stars **This is for the room villa rental. ** Highly recommend but few flaws. Was here for an Ironman event in December. Booked a one bedroom villa that was pet friendly for two nights (pretty in advanced) which made the cost really reasonable for the accommodations you get. The check in was a breeze. Finding the room was also easy as it was right around the corner from the main office. At first glance, it was a massive one bedroom "villa". Everything seemed fairly clean, and you have everything you need . There was some things I noticed though... there was a pretty awful smell that kept reoccurring (I'm pretty sure it was the mini fridge). The couches were pretty dated, as well as the tvs. BUT I wasn't planning on hanging out too much so no big deal. The internet was awful though. I ended up going off their free WiFi and using my phone service instead for the entire weekend. For pet owners: they have TWO dog parks. That was a hugeeee bonus. Here's where it may be better: **A friend of mine booked a two bedroom villa right next door and what was interesting was that setup was completely different. The furniture was modern, the kitchen was a full kitchen, the tvs were modernized. It was literally a full size home. It was just interesting there would be such a huge difference in furniture for a small difference in price and the same place. It would be nice to give "smart" tvs to all villas at the least. Anyways. Overall I was ok with everything considering it was an affordable option for my weekend stay. I would rate this a solid 4 IF not for this final reason. The night before my big event, there was a wedding in the next building over! The music was blaring and there was no sound proofing to the room at all. Luckily it went silent at 10pm (which I suppose is a respectable time for residential living but not a "hotel" rental) Overall. I would still recommend but hopefully some of this helps interested people! read more

Got here on a Monday and got into a pull through close to the dog park. This park is beautifully maintained, including the dog park. I wish the dog park had double entry doors so if you're at the opposite side of the dog park and another dog person comes in and your dog runs towards the gate, a double door keeps your dog safe from running out. Centrally located to great restaurants and shopping centers. So far, the only downside is there's a train that runs directly behind the park (by dog park) apx every 20 minutes, in case you're hearing sensitive. Laundromat available, located next to one of the pools. I learned while here of you put your trash in your driveway of your RV spot it gets picked up. Also, if you go to front desk you may request one bag of ice a day at no charge. Pull through is the easiest but all the spots are nice. They've decorated for Christmas so the park is lit up. Many people have dogs but didn't hear one dog bark during the night, I did hear a cat. read more

This is a true favorite of mine. I arrived and despite having the correct gate code, the gate would not open. Once the staff responded, I pulled into the check in area. Once at the desk, Godwin, the resort manager, upgraded my standard site to. Luxury site. Truly a gesture of excellent customer service. We stayed in Malibu ll villa 2 nights. Entry was overgrown and not kept. Bathroom Floor tile broken. Upon returning at 10 pm no hot water. Left in early am and back at 10 pm to toilet not flushing. Filled trash to refill and flush. Cockroaches on table and inside of shower curtain the size of a car. Room not badly priced but would have loved to have a working toilet and hot water. RV park is nice but wonder if hookups are maintained. Sprinkler heads broken and created a new lake. Not recommending this place for anyone. read more

Nice Looking place BUT.. we're getting past the typical freeway noise a lot of RV parks have.. But.. nowhere on their website does it say, "there's an ACTIVE Train Track in between the freeway & the wall of the property!! OMGOSH The frequency, the noise levels, even with windows & door closed, is Horrible & Obnoxious! Oh too.. it SHAKES our RV!! We're here now, first time here, will be our last, it's 11:00PM & the trains are Still running! Not sure how well, if at all, that we'll sleep. We are booked for FIVE nights & tonight's our first And, they penalize you greatly if you cancel! I'm so frustrated. I know the RV Park can't move their location or move the train tracks.. but, it should be disclosed to anyone wanting to book AND we're paying Too much for what we are getting!! We shouldn't be paying premium prices for putting up with this noise! Oh, last thing, they need to have trash cans on the grounds. Only ones are a few Doggie bag stations with Small cans.​ read more

We booked with this resort for a trip from Sunday to Wednesday, a suite with a kitchenette. We opted for early checkin due to our service dog and the unsafe weather for her to be in without it. We called 48 hours and 24 hours in advance to make sure it was available. I spoke to Denny at the resort front desk. She made us aware it was a fee of $25 to check in early and we could arrive early between 12-1pm and we could get our room. Upon arrival we were told by Justin the manager that we could not check in and that there is no guarantee to be able to get our room before 3pm. I explained our situation and he was not sympathetic at all. He stayed very monotone and kept repeating the same thing that there was no guarantee for early check-in despite what we were told and despite that they have an early check-in fee and basically what his employee told us was not correct. I reached out to the third-party that we booked with explain the situation the representative reached out to the resort and asked if there would be possibility that we could cancel our reservation and be able to go somewhere else because we were uncomfortable with the policies that they had told us that they were going to uphold which they did not and we didn't feel safe sitting in a rec room or in a lobby with our service animal for an extended period of time for fear of overstimulation of her handler. The third-party was not accommodating at all. They said when they reached out to the resort, the resort did refuse to cancel our reservation and refund us our money and they would have our room available for us within the next 45 minutes so we did sit in our car with the air conditioner running for approximately 45 minutes waiting for a room to be available we were told our room was available in approximately 30 minutes which is great. We got the keys to our room upon arrival to our room. We are in a completely different room we booked a suite with the kitchenette and the room that we are in is a glorified hotel room. There is only a microwave and a refrigerator. We approach the front desk and the front desk again Apologize for the confusion and let us know that we were going to have to wait an additional 20 minutes for the room that we originally booked with the third-party to be available, but they were going to accommodate us and not make us pay the early check-in fee as well as we were allowed to stay in the smaller room, until the bigger room that we had originally booked through the third-party was available. I'm not happy at all with the way that Emerald RV Desert resort handled themselves, as well as the third-party. Update: we were told 20 more minutes at 1:45 we are 2:20 pm and still nothing! Update: we finally got into our room at at 2:30 pm It had just been finished being cleaned. Hot as heck air set at 78 degrees. But nice room. Quite a few broken things. Finally got to the pool. And guess what.... To no surprise everyone is having issues with the resort and the "manager" Justin! Overall the stay was great!!! We meet some really cool people! read more

The resort and the facilities were all clean and the landscaping in particular was well maintained. However, our electrical hookup didn't work. As there was nobody next to us, so we were able to plug into the adjacent service, but it also was a bit wonked and it took a fair amount of wire jiggling to get it to work. We paid for a premium space, which I'm glad that we did as the cheaper spots are near to to the train tracks which would have been a huge buzz-kill. read more

I am SO upset. I booked our RV spot 2 months in ADVANCE for the Jimmy Buffet Concert in Palm Desert on March 7, 2023. We paid in full AND wanted to store our beautifully remodeled 2009 Wildwood (looks excellent inside and out). We got a call on 2/24/23, and they WILL NOT accept our 25' Camper. The "refund" will be 7-10 days. I am SCRAMBLING to find a place to stay instead of losing over $500 worth of Jimmy Buffet tickets. Hubby called and spoke with the manager, Godwin; tuns out he is an unpleasant and non-cooperative manager! 1. They initially said we could not get our refund, BUT wound up refunding it this morning- or dealing with an AMX complaint! 2. Refused to take our "old" RV for "fear it may break down in the spot and would need to be towed" (it is a 25' Wildwood trailer, NOT a motorhome). The employee took my reservation and money yet failed to mention this "policy." Not a problem after discovering this issue since we have done this in other upscale parks; we sent multiple pictures, but they still refused our stay. Ironically, despite their stringent policies, we have stayed in Malibu, Ventura, and Newport Beach MULTIPLE times; we had NO issues. I will NEVER give them a good review or my money. I am upset with the lack of care, professionalism, empathy, and company ethics. Shameful!! As RVrs/campers, we all need to do our due diligence and write reviews for others about our stays or issues; this prevents others from this same issue. We have been coming here with our camping group for years but, unless any changes are made, we will not be returning. For starters, I was met with complete attitude from Justin at the front desk. He berated me about not filling out the proper paperwork since we checked in after hours. We have had the same spot the last 10 years we have been coming here however they decided to book us there for one night in that spot then tried to move us the next three nights. Instead of being nice and accommodating about a simple Misunderstanding, he was rude, condescending, and had nothing but attitude towards me about the situation. Mind you the park is almost completely empty and our group brings in 1000s of dollars and 20+ reservations for multiple nights. I would completely understand if it was a full park with limited spots, but besides our group, there are maybe five other rigs here. He also refused to give us our bag of ice for the first day of our reservation even though we arrived around 5:01 and the office closed at 5:00. We still paid for that night and should be entitled to our bag of ice. Throughout our stay, he continued to find multiple tedious, ridiculous problems to complain to us about. We visit multiple RV resorts throughout the year and we have never had an experience as poor as this one. There is nothing hospitable about this resort and we will not be recommending it to anybody in the future. read more

Clean grounds with lots of grass and trees. Very clean showers, restroom and gym facilities. Large clean pool area and a separate smaller one for adults. No shade at adult pool. I didn't tink the train noise was that bad but can see where it would drive others nuts. You certainly can hear them all day though so be aware. Kind of tough to get a 30ft TT into spots that are on a small pad on the end of certain "streets". Friendly staff. We were here at the beginning of June and the place was virtulally empty due to the extremely HOT weather. After all it is the Coachella Valley. read more

Have come here for 10 years and it had been a great family friendly place for awhile. The past couple years, especially this year, have been a shit show. Literally, poop and worms in the main pool. So obviously I do not feel it's sanitary enough to bring our children in that pool. Brought our family to the smaller pool and there were constant complaints by others on us for having our children in the 'adult' pool. First of all there is NO sign anywhere that states this is the adult pool. The only sign is attached that states 14 years old and younger need to be accompanied by an adult. When the manager/workers came to kick us out of the pool said that its stated in the paperwork that we signed that this is the adult only pool. I can guarantee 99% of everyone do NOT read the entire paperwork of everything. There needs to be better communication, appropriate signs in the appropriate areas. And if the other pool is not sanitary/safe for me and my family there should be another option for us or else i will demand my money back. Another thing, we bring our bikes here for our kids to enjoy riding around and they got 'pulled over' multiple times being told that adults need to be riding with them. We are literally sitting in our camp site watching them ride around and they are being told they can't without an adult and that that was in the paperwork as well. Our children are so bummed and so bored and it's just a disappointment and damper on our vacation and we really don't get very many a year. We will no longer be returning. They've lost a big group of so many different families that join us that will no longer be returning. They should change this place to a 55+ vacation RV Resort because this is NOT a family friendly resort at all! I would not recommend this place for families with children. Emerald Desert RV Resorts Villa's are amazingly beautiful; We rented a Villa to sell our Bluebird Bus there at the RV Resort. A couple from Canada flew out to see our Bus at Emerald Desert; we didn't want to sleep in our Bus because it was ready for showing; in other words it was cleaned and ready to be sold. So we rented a Villa Suite there on the Resorts premises; and all I can say is WOW!!!! The Villa was beautifully decorated in Mid Century Style, tile floors and carpeted living area along with a well appointed Master Bedroom. It felt like you were in a high end luxury suite; they had coffee bar/breakfast area, fresh towels w/shampoo's & soaps, air conditioned, & dining room table for six but not all villas have dining room tables. Stayed at The Emerald Desert RV Resort for a second time this year! We visited the first time in April and a second time in December. The resort is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are green and nicely maintained. The common areas include two pools, jacuzzi's, gym, bathrooms, and showers. ALL absolutely first class! The RV spots are gorgeous! The cement slabs are clean, stain free, and very level. The hookups are in great condition, and I LOVE that the trash is picked up daily! The resort is fenced off and the security gate closes at dusk. All guests are provided with access codes to enter the resort after hours. The only reason I didn't give the full 5-stars is that during my second visit I requested a specific RV spot for my stay. During check in I was told that spot wasn't available (even though it was empty at the time). During the entire stay the spot I had requested was EMPTY as well as SEVERAL spots around it??? My goal had been to occupy a spot where there wasn't a trailer in front or behind to maximize privacy. Instead, we were situated into a spot where on three sides we were surrounded by RV's. Meanwhile the spot I had requested as well as SEVERAL dozen open spots remained OPEN the entire time we were there. Next time I think I'm going to be a little more persistent on the location where we stay. read more

I hated giving 3 stars because the grounds are beautiful, lovingly maintained, and the staff are great. BUT.... We stayed for 3 nights in late January, site 215. A so-called luxury site, over $200/night plus taxes, etc. The resort was pretty close to full occupancy with snow-birds from Oregon, Washinton, Idaho, Wisconsin, Missouri, Montana, and all points north in Canada. Many of those snow-birds were having their RVs worked on. Washed, waxed, cleaned inside and out. Dish antennas installed. Miscellaneous repairs and so on. Workman talking loudly over the sound of even louder tools. It was noisy every day from 8 AM until after 5 PM, including weekends. So much so, we were unable to get an afternoon nap. One day, we came back to find a neighbor had 3 work vehicles attending their RV, 1 of which was blocking access to our site, and the neighbor had parked their personal vehicle, complete with little yappy dog, to the street side next to our site. Street parking is not allowed, according to the park rules. The other issue was the site itself. What you don't see behind the trees on the North side of the on-line map (beyond the line of trees) is the raised railroad tracks and freeway. Trains roll through 23/7/365, all day, all night. Long trains. The raised track is above the fence line so the sound simply rolls in. The freeway noise tends to drop off after around 10 PM and starts up again around 5 AM. If it weren't for the white noise app on the phone, no sleep would have been had. The prior 2 visits, we were in sites 89 or 90 and 3. Those are somewhat insulated from the train and freeway noise by the storage buildings. So if you're not in the mood to spring for the Elite or above sites, looks at the availability of space in the 1-13's or the 90's. We are looking elsewhere for RV stays for our next Palm Springs adventure. read more

We've been coming to Emersld Desert for the last 20 years. it's was one of our favorite parks. something has happened in the last 6 months. New staff, lots of turnover, no flowers and weeds in the flower beds, part of the park grass areas are dead and muddy. It took us half an hour to an hour to make reservations thru the corporate office, no on site reservations. The TVs don't work in the clubhouse and fitness center. The prices have doubled in the last 8 years. The amount of rigs here are about a third of what they usually are this time of the year. It's a beautiful park that we have loved in the past but it needs to get back to being a premier park it once was. There are many positive things about this park but please spend some money, time and energy to bring it back. read more

This is one of my favorite RV Resort. It's a large campground with villas for people to stay that do not own an RV. The Villas are well equipped and gorgeous. It has the biggest pool I've ever seen in an RV Resort. The staff is super courteous, friendly, and very professional. I've stayed here many times, but this past weekend I rented one of their Club Houses, which by the way they have several and different sizes for any and all occasions. I rented the club house to celebrate my husband's Retirement & Birthday. The club house was a perfect size for the amount of people I invited. Several people rented the villas and spent the night. We had a fabulous time, everyone of my guests enjoyed and loved the place. I was a very happy and satisfied camper...love this place very much. Spent 3 nights here recently. Before Sunland Resorts bought the park it was a nice "reasonable" place to stay. Just like other corporate owned rv parks however it's now become too expensive with too many restrictions. It amazes me that a park like this one can charge so much sitting right next to a noisy freeway. read more

Awful stay when we specifically picked this resort to relax. First site was next to a pond that was being drained and using our water main. Second site was behind the "adult only" pool that was full of children screaming all day and until ten. The grass all around was almost dead and always muddy. Had to wash the dog's paws every walk. Couldn't access the dog park because it was surrounded by mud. The sites in the Then, on top of the very loud freeway noise, there are trains that go by rattling everything every few hours. The pricing is extremely high for the quality of the park and we paid for "luxury" spot which was extremely narrow and RV's are practically on top of each other. read more

I was expecting this place to be a beautiful resort even with some of the negative reviews. I should have took those to heart. There is an area with green grass for RV'S that are 30 ft or smaller. We were placed in the other location where the grass was dead and so unappealing. With the higher end price per night we expected at least a 4 star place but what a letdown. Pros: laundry facilities are clean. $3.50 per machine @28 min wash/no coins accepted but credit cards are. Cement pads. Staff friendly Cons: dead grass area for 35+ RV'S, large pool was beautiful until you looked at the water. It had a film and dead bugs. Management needs to clean it daily. Some tree limbs were hanging too low, which our RV came in contact with. (Staff needs to be aware of each space and have the trees trimmed) Pricey per day. What was disappointing, Was that for the price we paid we didn't get to utilize the beautiful pool. If management would just clean their pools daily for their patrons even if there are a few campers. There's a lot that this management can do keep the grass maintained and watered and make it appealing for your customers. Because of this we will never come back until we hear of improvements. read more

This place use to be very beautiful. Use to have beautiful green grass, great upkeep and a clean pool. Unfortunately, this weekend will be my last at Emerald Desert. Pool water was white in color. Needless to say we didn't use the pool. Grass was pretty much dry looking like dirt. Few guests were sharing the same complaints.
