Deserves 7 stars. Our experience was the perfect mix of professional and fun, serious and playful at the proper times. Incredible views of Yosemite Valley the whole time you're in the air. This was our first time skydiving and the guy who runs it, his wife, his workers, and especially his dread headed dog made us feel incredibly welcomed and safe. My girlfriend is scared of heights and she was chill as Hindu cow until they jumped and then she was nothing but elated and confident on the way down and afterwards. My buddy is a chef in the valley and took us here, and since I've talked to a lot of skydivers on my travels about this jump and all have been wowed to hear you can jump so close to Yosemite. Couldn't recommend them more, and cherry on top: I think the owner was a super model at one point, real striking fella. read more

I'm terribly late on my review for Skydive Yosemite but here I am! This was my first time skydiving and it certainly won't be my last. The crew (Paul, the blonde guy whose name I forgot and Nate who I jumped with) were absolutely phenomenal. Good vibes to the fullest! I figured I'd grow anxiety as we neared the 14,000 feet but on the contrary, it was peaceful and stunning in a way you'd only know at an altitude like that. It was also my birthday, I just couldn't envision any other way to spend it. I did pay for photos but the camera was accidentally left behind, Paul was quick to give me a refund and offer free footage for the next time. To sum this all up, 1) I will be back for that offer because this was the most incredible experience and 2) since that day, I've thought about jumping again every single day. DO NOT skydive here. My husband took his mother and best friend on January 4th. He rented an RV and drove out a few days before. The jump was Monday and they called the night before to say their planes were down and they may not be able to provide the service. The night before!? Monday comes and they say they have it fixed. The jump was scheduled for 1:30pm. They were there all day and finally were taken care of hours later (because they were so behind from the planes being down). My husband had a young man with dreadlocks that accompanied him on the jump. I am not sure if this person has no experience or purposely landed my husband so hard on his tail bone that we think it may be broken or chipped. It's been almost 3 weeks and he can't even sit in a car to drive. He was in terrible pain after and it has not gotten better. I believe this staff member did this on purpose because these are trained professionals- they know exactly how to land. Thank god his elderly mother had someone else that landed her perfect. Same with the best friend. My husband is a young, strong, and healthy man and should not have had this type of experience. This was supposed to be the trip of a lifetime. Now he may be crippled for life. Don't take the chance. It's not worth it!!!!!!!! read more

We had a great time jumping with these guys! It was our first time skydiving and they we're great about getting us comfortable and not so nervous for the jump. Check in was easy and we got started real quick. They wen't over what we'll be doing and got suited up and on the plan quickly. It was about a 20 minute ride on the plane before jumping and the views from the plane were amazing. I would recommend doing the highest jump so you can experience the amazing views longer when falling down. read more

I was in the area so I had to pass by Skydive Yosemite. Short version, if you have never been skydiving before, this is the perfect dropzone to welcome you into the sport. If you are an experienced jumper, this is a fantastic place to jump and experience the Yosemite views like none other. Very, very small DZ. The plane holds four people so you do need to call in advance to make sure they are open. B-license required, and for a reason, but it is mindblowing of the views you get, and Paul and the rest of the team are just so nice and welcoming. I will definitely be returning and bringing more people to keep loads running hot. Bottom line, if you are thinking about skydiving and have the chance to go here, you need to stop thinking about it and just do it, you will not regret it. read more
