I can't believe I couldn't find this guy on Yelp when my daughter was born 4 years ago, but here he is and my experience with him was so awful, I still remember it today and I have to leave a review.
I purchased a LivingSocial for a photo session before my daughter was born to do photos. We emailed a few times and set up a date, 3 weeks after she was born and he picked the location, citing that he had been there before and it was really pretty. He confirmed the Glenview Mansion in Rockville as the location, 2 pm time and even said all we had to bring were big smiles. Our shoot was 10 days later on July 20.
We get there and he is late...I see another family there and wonder if that may be him because no one else is at the location. I can't reach him via phone and email him at 3:04 pm asking where he is as we have arrived. Eventually he shows up and greets the other family. We go up and introduce ourselves, ready for our session as well.
Peter stares at me, blankly, then back at the other family. I remind him that he picked this location, date and time, I show him the emails and the only paltry excuse he could come up with is "..I guess I double-booked". Ok...well, what do you think his corrective steps were or even his logic for next steps? He decides to go with the other family because they paid full-price. I asked if he could maybe alternate...shooting them and then shooting us...I asked if he could at least get a few shots of just my newborn...(mind you she is three weeks old and it is outdoors in July so it was so hot) a refund, opportunity to shoot some other time...anything to demonstrate that he messed up and wanted to correct it.
This man didn't do a single thing. I get it, the people who paid more are worth more to you but if you aren't organized enough to manage your bookings, don't use outside services to book them like LivingSocial! I still see him pop up here and there on the coupon websites and I am disgusted. He walked away from us, leaving us with a "go f-ck yourself because not my problem" attitude and made no attempt to rectify it.
He sent me an email afterwards where he offered up this explanation:
"I can't offer anything but my deepest apologies this does not happen often but yes it happens. We only double booked twice from 507 vouchers redeemed and I know it's not an excuse. Somewhere along the way the communication got lost. I also apologize for being to firm and couldn't take you on. Once I again I'm truly sorry. Regards peter "
What's worse is when I contacted LivingSocial afterwards to try and get my refund, they were having trouble reaching him!
Please, do yourself a favor and select any number of quality, talented photographers but this man is a cheat, waste of time and energy. read more
