I have been seeing Dr. Benson for several years now. I started with her pre-pandemic in St. Paul, close by where I live. I travel to Burnsville even though I knew there are many places in between us. She is kind, considerate, thorough, a great listener and always asks every time if you have any new symptoms or anything that you would like to work on. They are a very busy place. I have been seeing Dr. Benson for approximately 13 years now. Started my kids there too when they were young. I have found the Dr. Benson really cares for her patients and always makes time to get me in when situations come up that I really need to be seen. She even will see me if I walk in. She is very flexible. That is a big plus with everyone's busy schedule these days! Now that my son has been out on his own for the past several years, he has recognized the need to continue his care with Dr. Benson and pays on his own. He even has his girlfriend seeing her now too. I have been seeing Dr. Benson for many years. She has helped me with a very bad car accident that I had concerns about getting range of motion back in my arm and shoulder. With her help I got it all back! She also has helped my daughter with very bad acid reflux when she was an infant, her adjustments helped with the GI tract, which helped immensely. My daughter got off the two acid reflux medicines that were prescribed by the GI doctors within weeks of starting the adjustments. I am writing this review mainly regarding Anonymou S. experience at Skyline Chiropractic. I was seeing Dr Benson starting in 2010 off and on thru 2012 and then consecutively thru 2016. In 2011 I started having severe leg cramps in my right leg stemming from my groin down to my foot. I was basically told this was due to not drinking enough water. Had a sprained ankle in 2012 in right ankle just from doing the same work I had been doing for 6 years and from doing nothing different than going up and down stairs, did not twist or strain at anytime.Was having problems eating from time to time, more than usual. In 2015 I was rear ended and Dr Benson took no xrays, so it was 5 years now and no xrays had been taken since 2010.All she told me was I had a mild concussion. She sure took that insurance money awfully quickly tho. So by Nov 2015 I started having tingling sensation in both my thighs, when I asked her why my thighs were tingling she said "I don't know" and dismissed it, extreme swelling up under my ribcage and started having more problems eating. Got strep throat from something or someone there in nov, We are at Dec 2015 now and it has been really swelling alot up under my ribcage even just from turning at the waist. I end up with so much fluid in my chest it was rattling so badly. I feel so like shit. I am back paying out of my pocket. I am financially now at approximately 17, 000.00 out of pocket for her services. Now its Feb 2016. I came home from an adjustment from Dr Benson after being told by her I would be detoxing. I went and laid down for a while and I started having spasms on the right side under my ribcage that shot down to the right inside above my thigh. I went into go to the bathroom and felt a clunk in my right hip. This was mentioned to her and it was dismissed with ":Chiropractic wouldn't do that" Something I had heard several times from her before. I began swelling even more under my ribcage and started not being able to eat let alone poop and still dealing with all the congestion in my lungs. Come June of 2016 I went to the clinic cuz at this time Dr Benson was telling me that I had poop stuck in my small intestines that was just festering, that I needed to do enemas and maybe go on a liquid diet to flush it out. So off to the clinic I go. Well I wasn't pregnant good thing for that since I am post, nothing stuck in my intestines but dr gave me something for the asthmatic bronchitis that was stirred up in my system. That visit is a whole other story in its self. By then I was experience excruciating sacrum tailbone pain. Bone pain burning on fire bone pain. Still not pooping and can only eat about once every 3 to 4 days topped with now I can sleep because my low back is in the worst pain I have ever experienced. Went into the er the beginning of July 2016. Low and behold I have a bulging disk fatty liver disease and AHA Spinal stenosis. Kidney stone stuck in my ureter which couldn't possibly pass due to the lumbar rotation that I felt back in Feb, did know this yet. I gave Dr Benson a copy of the diagnosis papers and she proceed to tell me , as the pain continued in my low back, that the low back pain was due to referred kidney stone pain. BS. BS BS BS. I went to the er one more time in early August for sacrum talibone pain and they were not able to do any xrays at the time. Pushed the drugs tho. Mind you at this time my kidneys were so swollen, protein in my urine was 300. Should have been 80. Found a different chiropractor in August. First thing he told me with all the things that were happening was LUMBAR!!!!!. ROTATED LUMBAR DUE TO INCORRECT ADJUSTMENTS!!!!!!! Shame on her! Her arrogance precedes her. If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck. IT IS A DUCK!!!!! Now 15 months later still can t poop normally, distended belly is somewhat going away, which was caused by the extreme overload on my kidneys and liver, 180 degree outward rotation of my right hip and extreme posterior tilt is still very hard to deal with. Pain is overwhelmingly challenging. Forgot to mention that one day while she was adjusting?? my back she mention she was working on getting the acidity out of my system/ Was not a good thing as I have been battling candida for over 40 years and have been taking some thing for that. So now on top of everything else my body was blown up with candida everywhere, my blood pressure most of last year was 200 and over. I am fortunate to be alive. Needs to be some way she is held accountable for this. She had no back strengthening itinerary no nutritional, just pushing her supplements, no routine for increasing curvature back in my spine. Unless "Get a exercise ball not a big one a medium one and I want you to do arm stretches but i don't have time to show you have your sister show you". And the bs kinesiology. Not quite sure what that was about. Found an outstanding chiropractor who s is cleaning up this mess that cost me just about $20,000.00. read more

My experience with this place was horrible. If you need the full adjustment experience, you're not going to get it here. This place truly is the drive-thru equivalent of bad chiropractic treatment. First of all, they make you pay up front *before* getting "treated," which sends a horrible message that this place is only out to get your money. Then, they throw your chart at you and make you carry it over to the exam room door so the receptionist doesn't have to get out of her chair. Initially, Dr. Benson listened to my issues but then became very opinionated about the right course of treatment for me, rather than pursuing the type of treatment I was looking for. She flat out told me that she didn't believe in muscle stim because she didn't "like the way it felt", and because of that, she would never use it on her patients. How any so-called doctor could place her opinions above the needs of a patient is beyond me. That is like a doctor refusing to administer antibiotics to someone with a bacterial infection because the patient might develop a rash as a side effect. Instead, she started me on a course of voodoo medicine with scented oils that she massaged into my face and neck, which served absolutely no purpose related to my problem. The adjustments were even worse. I've been seeing chiropractors for many years and this is the only time I've experienced searing, shooting pain from and during adjustments. I would go home afterwards with pain radiating down my arms and tingling sensations in my fingers, which I can only assume was the result of improperly executed adjustments. After the adjustment, they herd you over to the roller bed, which they show you how to work yourself so they don't have to bother with you from that point on. When it's over, you get to lug your chart back to the desk and show yourself out after being pressured into another appointment. Let's get real: Chiropractors aren't nutritionists and they certainly aren't going to make you any healthier by way of chiropractic treatment. Don't be lured into the health and wellness money-making bs they are pushing these days. Good chiropractors will sell themselves on what they're supposed to be able to do and snap some bones back into their proper place. Bottom line: if you're in pain and need a serious course of treatment, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this place. read more

I was having a tough time recovering from knee replacement surgery and nobody had a good answer for me. By pure chance I was told about Dr. Karlynn Benson who identified osteoarthritis in my spine and lumbar degenerative disease in addition to dislocation of my hips. She came up with a plan that we are now following which has brought me relief from my lower back pain and has greatly improved my quality of life. i just recently saw dr. karlynn benson for my first time. when i entered the office that she shares with her husband dr. yearling; she greeted me with a huge smile. she said to me ,'' just fill out these very easy papers. there were just two simple forms. and than she said, '' i'll be with you shortly.'' it was just a couple of minutes and she came over to get me. she ask if i was confortable in a open area or would you perfer a private room. i said open is fine. she reviewed my info. than asked me her questions, about my probllems. she was very careful, because i have two rotor cup torn shoulders. she truly knows her business. i found out because of my hips, that my left leg was 1 and a half in inches shorter. she than ajusted the rest of my body. she was so professional, and extremely polite along with being so caring!!!! i would personally recommend her to anyone who truly wants to get help by a great professional. respectfully , kirk swedberg; ordained christian minister and owner of kirks total image a hair salon in apple valley. i am very blessed to have dr. benson in my life now. i need her and that is a understatement. read more
