We had 6 rooms in our section with 3 bathrooms I believe so sharing a bathroom brought me back to my college days in the dorms but a lot cleaner here. The bathrooms are large. Just having to walk upstairs after the reception is a huge perk and the woodwork and history of the building is amazing. Doors and rooms are a little loud and squeaky but it's what to be expected with its historical charm. Would recommend for an event in Hartington.

Beautiful winery, we drove into the driveway and looks like a house. The backyard is a hill and you can see the vineyards. The inside was very spacious, suited for large groups and private parties. The patio and more seating in the backyard. They serve finger foods, pizza, and charcuterie boats. The bar is on the left as soon as you enter the building, review the list of wines they offer, you can do a flight or by glass. They don't offer tasting, but can give you a small sample prior to choosing a glass. Service was great, they gave me a pager for the food. We had a carrier for my wine and open seating anywhere. Little did we know that this place would quickly feel like a hidden gem to us. We booked a week in January and had the entire 2nd floor(where the rooms are) to ourselves. The first morning coming down for breakfast, we were welcomed very warmly by Sherry, one of the owners, who cooked us a grand meal herself! Each and every breakfast thereafter was spectacular and equally delicious. We also got to meet her husband, Eldon, who chatted with us for a bit and gave us a brief history of how he came back to South Dakota. The rooms that we stayed in were very comfortable and inviting. We slept very well and had plenty of space at the desk to eat and practice our little hobbies. I also have to add that the wine was fantastic as well, Sherry even let us try a couple of bottles! They were so good that I of course had to stock up on a few bottles for the wife before we left. It was a sad day when we finally had to leave but we will definitely be back! This venue definitely fits in with the recent rustic wedding trend. It's barn-style on the outside, and the indoor area includes lots of exposed wood with some finer touches (nice chandelier-style lighting, a fireplace, a bar, ect.). That being said, things turned out well. The food was good, the bar service was excellent and fun, and the room was gorgeous. If you want a simple experience, Riverfront may not be your venue, but it is one of the only places in Yankton that isn't essentially just a little tan box of a room.
