I'm partial to their jewelry selection, which will be the focus of my review. The staff is very knowledgeable about their stuff- both the product details of their goods, as well as the technical gemological information and its history. They're very welcoming about people dropping by to gawk at their beauties (a docent-led tour of their pretties, anyone?) as well as customers who are looking to purchase pretties for themselves or for others. The staff is patient about answering questions as well as generously providing technical information and history that they think will be of interest to their customers. They won't pressure you to buy. During my last visit, it so happened to be that they had a stunning aquamarine ring that I just had to get.. oops. (But not oops because even after a few days, I have zero buyer's remorse!) They have a flexible layaway plan for folks who may be tight on the budget. For jewelries that are of high value (likely $1000+) they provide appraisal. To resize a ring, they ask for a week's time and they charge exactly what their jeweler would charge them for resizing. Talk about a friendly and trustworthy store! I'd highly recommend folks swinging by downtown Chico to pay a visit to Country Squyres, whether it's for funsies or for a unique engagement ring shopping. p.s. Be sure you do not leave your valueables unattended. I did that and was ripped off while the Lewisses were combing thru the whole estate. Unattended properties and an easy mark for thieves especially thieves with precise information about what where, the combination to the lock to gain access. These people knew all about every kranny and nook of my brothers home and possesions. Lewis estate services became angry with me when I questioned what they were doing. Lo and behold immediately after they tried to threaten me with empty nonsense legal action against me, then within two days more or less, thieves showed up at my brothers place and ripped off his Honda ATV, tried to take his tractor and did steal an expensive attachment. I have reason to believe that Dan and Lorna Lewis arranged this shit show less likely Dan but you never know. They were pissed. I hired them, then at one point challenged what they were doing with my brothers possesions. They were furious and tried as best they could to threaten me. Within days someone went into the property and did steal remaining property. Thieves were clearly informed about the facts, how to gain access to the property, a door was left unlocked after the Lewises and crew were the only peolle on the property, which was otherwise was not attended, they seemed well informed in advance about what was still on the property that was of value and where it was located.

My favorite are the ones that look like giant bare footprints! On our last visit the owner was mentioning how times have been hard due to the economy and fuel prices, people just aren't traveling past as much...stop by and pay him a visit--I want them to stay open so I can pick up a gargoyle fountain next!
