Books have always been a happy escape for me. Now that I read my books on my iPad, I had started to forget how wonderful it feels to hold a real book in your hands. I think it's time to return to the beginning, head back in time and pick up a book to read; a real solid paper book. Sometimes change isn't always a good thing. This sweet little store reminded me of days gone by. When you walk in, the room on the left is for the little ones. Straight ahead is the desk where you checkout and to the right is for young teens or young at heart. In the back areas are adult books. A very nice selection of most genres. So put down that iPad and go buy yourself a book! A book that you can touch. However you like your books, take time to read. Lose yourself for awhile and let your imagination carry you along. I was able to discuss some of my favorite storylines from the 90s with one of the guys that worked there while another employee looked up comics I asked about in their inventory. You would never know it from the outside--a former brick family pharmacy-- but they've transformed the inside into a medieval castle, with a common hall in the front and a room like a castle den in the far back. The owner realized we were first-time visitors and gave us a tour. Every time we turned a corner or opened the door, my mouth dropped. There are tables for RPG or tabletop gamers at the far end of the front common room/shop space, but there are also a bunch of tables in the far back den room--which, it turns out, they also rent out for private parties. The shop inventory looked like they had a lot of items for miniatures, RPGs, and Magic the Gathering. However, they also had a respectable board game area right up front. They can also order most games they don't carry, I was informed. In sum, nice place to browse for board games and a VERY cool place for a group to hang out--or have a private party! The space is really big and packed with records, DVDs, CDs, you name it. Everything is labeled pretty well but it can definitely feel overwhelming just because of how much there is. The good news is the staff is super friendly and easy to approach, so don't hesitate to ask them for help or something specific. I was also surprised by how much international stuff they carry. They even had a recent Kpop album from a group I like and I did not expect them to have it in stock. Overall just a really fun place to come to with friends, flip through some records, and maybe find something you weren't expecting. Would go back!

Not only did they have it available but it was priced well too. The staff was very friendly and this place is huge. Highly likely that whatever you are looking for, they'll have it here. My only issue would be parking. I was lucky to find a spot in front but usually it's busy in the loop so get make sure you are good with walking. Still a great location with all the other shops around. I will definitely return as my kids are into vinyl records now and would like a few of their own.
