I've been playing at Ultimate Indoor for years now. They have a great facility with two great…read moreindoor soccer fields. The place is kept really clean. The fields are well maintained, and well groomed. The turf is filled with little pieces of shredded tires to give it a little cushion. You used to be able to use outdoor cleats on the turf but that has been changed. If you're planning on giving this place a go, I would recommend you invest in a good pair of turf shoes, they'll provide you with the traction you need, and suffice the no outdoor cleats rule. They have a few video games for the kids, and an air hockey table for those long breaks in between games, and what not. They are located in North Salt Lake which why I knocked one start off, they're really out there. However it is worth the drive if you want a great facility to play some indoor soccer. They have a plethora of leagues, and different levels of play. From youth to adult, seasoned to the most rookie players. They have a great co-ed league, and they even have indoor la cross if that's your bag! All in all this is a great location for all your indoor soccer needs. Give them a try if you're in the market for a great way to shed some lbs. P.S. You may be able to catch a glimpse of me on the field, but most likely in the coaches box shouting orders, and direction to my boys. I'm easy to spot, I'll be the only coach with Yelp sunglasses on! :)

PROS: The facility…read moreitself as a whole is quite good. The field is in good condition, plenty of space for fans, clean bathrooms (kind of), etc. There are a bunch of leagues, especially for adult men, with 4 varying levels of difficulty. CONS: It can be difficult to get a team spot in the Winter. Make sure to be pretty proactive in getting a team together. Every 6 fouls is a penalty shot (hockey style). If you knee even touches the ground, it's a dangerous play penalty. It can get a bit rough in the men's adult league with games starting at 11:20 pm on a weekday. I have talked to many teams and experienced much on my own as well to support my biggest disappointment with the facility. THE REFEREES ACROSS THE BOARD ARE ATROCIOUS. This is not a rant, but forewarning that it is not irregular to leave frustrated win or lose. There is one sold referee, a relatively young guy with almost red-like hair. However, if you have the girl who is young with very short dark "spikey" hair, get ready because it's going to be a long night. It's just a shame when people come to have fun and regularly leave angry. And I used to be a ref, I understand it can be difficult with all adult men. But too many times have I seen individuals or entire teams almost implode with anger at the men/women in striped shirts.

Dear Volleyball Parent,…read more As a past volleyball parent and mental health professional, I wanted to strongly advise against allowing your son or daughter to be trained at Club V. While you might be attracted to the banners with kids receiving scholarships, please understand that the mental toll associated with this club is atrocious. Only now that my daughter has given up volleyball do I feel comfortable leaving feedback due to the culture and influence of Club V. Firstly, Club V strings players along with tryouts done initially where you put down a deposit and then you are placed on a team after your high school season. During this time, you might be promised one team but then recruiting from other clubs occurs and your daughter might be bumped in order to weaken other clubs in the valley. We were bumped after my daughter didn't receive a commitment to a college and were told that she would be able to play with her friends after she played with the senior 18s club only to be lied too and she was demoted to the lower team. Second, Club V monopolizes and only sees girls as volleyball players solely. Club V actively recruits players to go to certain schools where other Club V coaches are coaching high school volleyball with other Club V players as they assume that only volleyball matters and nevermind academics, social, and emotional support from other institutions where your girl may play. For instance, my daughter was recruited to Skyline by the Skyline coach and Reed Carlson only because it had a volleyball program that was coached by a Club V coach. In addition, Club V coaches then go on to prioritize Club V players on high school teams. If you have a question, please note the starters for the 2025 5A Utah Women's championship teams where I believe almost all were Club V players. While you might think this is because of the Club's skill, I would more likely purport that it is due to their branding recruiting, and willingness to throw players under the bus to get the best girls in the state. Third, Club V is about winning and that's it. There is absolutely no loyalty or investment into keeping the players. Multiple times, coaches would leave tournaments to coach other teams if their team didn't do well. Our coach at Nationals left before we even played our last game because he wanted to attend another tournament in another state where he was a secondary coach because they were winning. Please tell me the message that gives the girls that worked so hard to go to Nationals? Finally, Club V head coach Reed Carlson can be disturbingly aggressive with his players. While on a college visit, a college coach described how Reed had traumatized one of his players and he had to work on building her confidence back up. After watching game and practices, I concur that Reed breaks his players down and is extremely emotionally taxing and does not foster resilience but rather extreme dependence on his style of play and emotional need to please only their coach rather than enjoying the game and playing for their team. Overall, the experience at Club V has been miserable and I would actively dissuade anyone from playing at the Club. Only the other players and their parents make the experience bearable.

I took my first session yesterday at this location, which is fairly new according to the owner. The moment I stepped in, the staffs were full of high+good energy. Checking in was a breeze. The room was clean; the training video was straightforward to follow; and it felt more intimate/private, which was nice for me (working out in solitude, lol). The temperature was 123 F, but bearable. Keep in mind, customers won't actually see the "red light", but the infrared is still emitting wavelengths without the visibility of the light we're used to seeing. The owner was extremely informative and gave me a quick tour of the place. It has about 8 rooms (I think) with different types of workout sessions. In the back, there's an open gym for members with two restrooms. There's a shower inside the restroom. Members access the place thru a # pin/app in case staffs are not present. Ample parking in the lot. I'll definitely consider coming back to sweat out in other sessions.

I was particularly impressed with the turf quality and the bunkers--the sand is pristine, clean, and has that rare, powder-like consistency. In my experience today I've met a great group of pros in the shop, an enthusiastic crew in the cafe, and this very engaging beverage server named Coco who everyone in our group of eight had great things to say about what a great job she does helping golfers quench their thirsts. Great hires all around Eaglewood. The carts are clean and very comfortable. Padded seats, faux leather and GPS! Double edged sword though... if you get behind the GPS will let you know and if the delay persists the marshal will visit but these guys were very congenial and patient. Our foursome was delayed by the group in front of us. It appeared we were the bottleneck but when they saw we were long and strong off the tee the marshal left us alone. The facilities also have wedding banquets. They were prepping chicken quarters and mixed fresh vegetables that I thought was an offering on the menu. I was super impressed but Becky, the amazing young lady in the cafe, spilled the beans and clarified they were prepping for a wedding. Looked really good! The fairways are tight with trees and brush or very nice homes on either or both sides. Beware the mountain course influences the greens slope. It may look flat and straight but will roll the direction of the mountain slope. The conditions of the fairways and greens were very green. I wish more people repaired their divots and green but you can't have it all. I think you can tell our group had a great time and enjoyed the course, facilities and the people . If you're looking for a challenging round of golf, this is a course you will like.
