The layout is both beautiful and deceptive; the frequency of blind shots keeps you on your toes, while the water hazards are perfectly placed to test your nerve. I'm not sure what happened that people had a bad experience at this court but I'm not one of those people. In my experience today I've met a great group of pros in the shop, an enthusiastic crew in the cafe, and this very engaging beverage server named Coco who everyone in our group of eight had great things to say about what a great job she does helping golfers quench their thirsts. Great hires all around Eaglewood. The carts are clean and very comfortable. Padded seats, faux leather and GPS! Double edged sword though... if you get behind the GPS will let you know and if the delay persists the marshal will visit but these guys were very congenial and patient. Our foursome was delayed by the group in front of us. It appeared we were the bottleneck but when they saw we were long and strong off the tee the marshal left us alone. The facilities also have wedding banquets. They were prepping chicken quarters and mixed fresh vegetables that I thought was an offering on the menu. I was super impressed but Becky, the amazing young lady in the cafe, spilled the beans and clarified they were prepping for a wedding. Looked really good! The fairways are tight with trees and brush or very nice homes on either or both sides. Beware the mountain course influences the greens slope. It may look flat and straight but will roll the direction of the mountain slope. The conditions of the fairways and greens were very green. I wish more people repaired their divots and green but you can't have it all. I think you can tell our group had a great time and enjoyed the course, facilities and the people . If you're looking for a challenging round of golf, this is a course you will like. read more

Terrible experience. No windshield on carts (rain blocker), price was highest in valley at $64 and won't take PGA book, and the worst was the arrogance of the staff! When we questioned the $64 being higher than Valley View, Davis or Sun Hills the person at the desk told us to golf at those other locations. They have plenty of business. Such a pretty course! This is our 2nd time coming here. The 1st time they made us end at hole 5 because the employees wanted to go home. Which is fine but why didn't we get a refund or something??? During our second time I brought my brother who is a beginner. The older Marshall came up to ME and said we needed to hurry up and that we didn't have golf etiquette. How rude!!!! We are learning to play and he had the audacity!! Is this how we treat paying customers?? We even warned the office guys that we would be slow. The beauty gets 10 stars. The grand Marshall or whatever he called himself of the golf course was a 0 stars. Came up on us, told me that if I couldn't keep better time then I need to pick up my ball and move to the next hole. Don't worry, it was 2 groups ahead of us slowing everything down but this old man decided that he was going to get up my ass and embarrass me. Him and his group were rude and kept hitting into us to get us to hurry. Again, we couldn't go till the people ahead of us went. Cafe is trashy with boxes everywhere. The bathroom wasn't that clean for a golf course. Our cart was taken when we ran in to buy a water by the staff even tho we had drinks, balls, purse and our car keys in them. Staff was really rude when we asked for our stuff back. We recently had a golf tournament at Eaglewood. The food service was horrible. I had ordered both breakfast and lunch, spending over $6,000 at the facility. In years past the food selection included beverages. This year they didn't provide water, they indicated I had not paid for water. In looking at the menu option list I was provided, nowhere did indicate water was an add on item. We also had our beverages suspended because we had a single golfer that rolled a golf cart. Apparently, they deemed everyone was overserved on the golf course because we had one participant that showed signs of being overserved. It was over 90 degrees outside, and no one had access to any beverages. People tried buying beverages at the clubhouse and were denied. I will never go back and plan on sharing my story with everyone I know. We had 140 participants that day, I'm sure they all feel the same way. I'm still in shock that we were treated in this manner, especially considering this was our 10th year that we have held our event at Eaglewood. read more

Beautiful course. Our tee time was scheduled for 11:40. We checked in at 11:28. We were loading our cart with our clubs when an announcement was made. We did not hear what was announced. We rolled up to the waiting area. There were people on the green already and they hit at 11:35. We were not sure if they hit early or late. We watched them play a second hit before our tee time. Assuming they were late we stayed behind. And then before 11:40, The PA told us to catch up with the 2 ahead of us. As though WE were the problem. Soured the day. I would give this golf course a zero if I could. The absolute worst experience I've ever had in my 40 years of golf! I have no idea where these bozos learned business but it is remedial at best. They did not have a beverage cart person for the first nine holes so obviously we were parched. When we did make the turn, they would not sell us anything and told us we had to buy from the cart! Even though we were trying to pay in cash. to make matters worse, our host paid for lunch. But these morons wouldn't even provide us water on the table as they told us, they had not paid for that! Wtf! Paying for water at a sit down lunch! Unbelievable, how inept these people are, and I cannot emphasize enough not to go to this golf course or the clubhouse for anything! The fairways and tee boxes are decent. Beware most bunkers are dirt traps, not sand traps. There is no sand in most traps which makes them unplayable. Also, there is no way to know the pin position, The course refuses to spend money on colored flags (red, white, and blue). It's a shame they charge a lot of money but won't spend on basic improvements. read more

We had 1 guy that paid for 12 guys. While settling up after the round, we were asked to leave for having cash on the table. WTF. This has never happened in my 20 years of playing golf. Very well kept golf course. There are courses where your ball will roll or land on a dirt patch, rock pile, or some other annoying obstacle caused by the lack of care. This is not the case with Eaglewood! I would golf the course every week and love it every time. read more

Beautiful golf course. The course has a lot of hills so you're either going to get a good workout in or pay for a cart. However, despite all the hills the course is still open and pretty easy to play. I wouldn't recommend this for a first time beginner, but all levels can enjoy this course. They didn't have a course marshall out which was kind of a bummer. The foursome in front of us last week hit about 10 strokes each on every hole, but never let my husband and I play through. We are just your average bogey golfer, but we play fast and it was miserable having to play so slow. We eventually skipped the last couple of holes and just went home. However, don't let that deter you - I've played here a handful of times and it's generally a good pace of play. If you want a good deal check out their website. Currently it's 2 for 1 green fees if you play on Sundays after 1 or half price for women on Wednesdays. While I don't know how long this special will last, they keep their website updated with the latest and greatest. read more

This course is every green and they take good care of it and maintain it often. I give it 4 stars simply because I've played on nicer courses, especially in st. George. This one can be awfully narrow and ranges in height which can be frustrating when you're lower than the green and can't see it at eye level. Also, there are many houses that line across the holes. Other than these small complaints, I think it's a creative way to bring a golf course to a mountainside! read more

One of my favorite courses to play. Course is almost always in great shape and is fairly priced. Numerous holes offer great views. The course itself provides a variety of different challenges. Elevation changes, blind tee shots, water hazards, reachable par 5's. The only negative thing that I will say is pace of play is really bad at this course. It's pretty slow at most courses these days but this course is particularly bad. I really wish they'd get a marshal out on the course on weekends who would enforce the pace of play a bit. 6 hours is far too long for a round of golf. read more

The Price is Right, The challenge is greater. Beautiful course on the North Salt Lake Bench. As any higher elevation course, the greens are challenging so you do have to compensate with a good break. You don't have to tee off with driver, especially the back nine. Unless you are fairway accurate, the neighbors would appreciate it. Hole # 9 (Watery Grave) will test weather you lay up your tee and 2nd shot or go for it with a water hazard on the left and Sand traps and rough of the right. My favorite is Hole # 16 (Mary's Creek). if you can hit long and accurate off the Tee, you might be able to hit the green on two with a long iron or wood. Beware of the water hazard on the left add bunkers on the right. The large water hazard in front of the green should not play a part if you go for it but is there if you lay up. Eaglewood's back nine will definately challage every club in your bag. read more

Great course with a lot of challenging holes. It will test you with a wide variety of elevation changes and good shots are rewarded here. Pro shop is always well stocked and clean.
