On 27 July, 2015, I placed an order online for a lawn mower blade. On July 28, I emailed this company - TWICE - once via their website and via email, to request a Tracking Number. I did not get a reply until the second time. They stated my order had not been shipped, but will be shipped on 30 July 2015, which is 3 days later - AFTER I placed my order! On July 29, 2015, I emailed customer service and stated the shipping time was unacceptable, because this order should have be shipped within 24 hours, and I should receive this order within 3 business days. I also emailed that I've ordered items from Europe and I received my item(s) within 5-6 days. Afterwards, I called this company via telephone and told them to CANCEL the order. Their customer service has been awful. There was a mix up in shipping and the mower took 4 weeks to arrive. I sent Multiple emails asking for updates with no response. When it did finally arrive it was missing its bagger. It's been 1.5 weeks since the mower arrived and still no bagger. They say they will call with updates but they don't. I don't hear from them unless I keep calling. Meanwhile I am going on 6 weeks waiting for a very expensive order. My single worst online buying experience. Think twice before you order. read more

I was very disappointed with the organization including the GM, Cody. They took over 5 weeks only to send me the incorrect part! At least three times the organization vowed to get me an RMA for the incorrect part and the correct part shipped for my generator, but to date, I still have neither the correct part or an RMA for the incorrect part. I ordered the part they indicated. They insist that I never contacted them, but where would I obtain a part number that they shipped? Instead of correcting the problem and rectifying the issue, they insist on charging the S&H for the incorrect part. Do not buy anything from this company. Beware. 2015 P&T 7x12 deck over style dump trailer. This trailer has numerous issues and many of them are safety concerns. We have notified SLE as well as the manufacturer. SLE has given us the run around, first telling us that they can help, then shoving us aside to the manufacturer. Both refuse to have us take the trailer to a third part in NJ where we live, to take care of the issues instead of having to ship it to the manufacturer at our cost. There are emails with pictures outlining the SAFETY issues, but still they will not work with us even though there is a warranty. Issues: 1. SAFETY CONCERN: Wheels are too far forward causing it to sway when going over 40mph, especially on the highway. They are supposed to be 85in from the front of the box of the trailer (which SLE told us), they are actually 80in. 2. SAFETY CONCERN: Wiring Issues - The blinkers do not work! Dangerous! 3. Wiring Issues - The battery has to be charged every 2 dumps, this is not even close to being normal. 4. Wiring Issues - Shorts out and sparks every time it is lifted to dump. (We had to fix that our selves right away) 5. SAFETY CONCERN: When loaded, the body pushes out causing the doors to unlatch. This is due to poor assembly, cheap materials and lack of welding. 6. Welding Issues: Was welded poorly and not welded up completely. Important components were not even welded on other side. The trailer holds a lot of water inside the frame rails of the box, which is going to cause it to rot out sooner than it should. Our colleagues have trailers that are 20yrs old and they do not have ANY of these issues. We purchased the trailer in October, but could not even use it until late November because they did not submit our paperwork for the plates and registration when it was supposed to be submitted. That brought us into winter which is our slow season due to snow, sleet and rain, where we did not use it. When we started using it in the Spring, which is when we contacted them, all of this issues were noticed. There was no "wear and tear". It is rusted because of the water sitting in the rails because of the way it was welded. The paint job is very cheap as well so it comes off easily. We sent them many many pictures and it is not fair for us to have to pay to ship it all the way to Tennessee. These pictures included the measurement of the axle placement. We are willing to pay for a third party inspection report so that the manufacturer will know what they are responsible for. We should not have to pay to ship this out there for what is their responsibility. We are not the only people with complaints against this company's workmanship and customer service. You can look them up online and see all of the terrible reviews. We wish we saw them prior to purchasing. One person said that he would help us, but we were transferred to another who is now saying otherwise. read more

The trailer that I ordered took 3 weeks longer to deliver than I was promised. Seems like the business does not have a good grasp on their stock or production schedule. The salesperson was not honest with information as to when the trailer would be built and available to deliver to my address. He also failed to promptly mail a signed Bill of Sale to me (which should have been delivered with the trailer), causing a further 10 day delay in getting the trailer registered and on the road. I ordered a zero turn Spartan mower on 4/24/17. I was originally told it would take 2 weeks to come in. In 3 weeks I called & the original salesman I spoke to was busy so a different one took my call. He told me he would figure out what was going on since the mower had no arrived. After a hour or two the original salesman called me and apparently was upset I said it had been 3 weeks & he told me 2. He was very defensive and said he had told me 2 1/2 to 3 weeks & it would be 3 weeks the next day. He then told me it would be in by the next Wednesday & delivered in 3-4 days. I asked if he would call me when it came in & he said he would. I waited for a week and a half & called back to find out that the salesman I had spoke with was no longer employeed at SLE. I was told another salemans had taken his sales & a message would be left for him to call me. About 5 hours later I called them again. I spoke with the salesman I was told was now handling my sale. He told me he checked & my mower had been there a couple of days but they didn't know it because the model number was different. He then told me it would be delivered by the end of that week or by mid week the next week. Remember I ordered this mower on 4/24 & it's now 5/24. So on Wednesday (mid week) of the next week I had not heard from them so I called. I was promised it would be delivered Friday. On Friday, 6/2, I received a call that the mower was being loaded & about to head my way. I then received a call back shortly after ending that call from the salesman asking me what mower I ordered & other details. To sum it up it was not the right mower. He said the right mower would be ordered but he had no idea how long it would take. I told him just forget it! It had been 6 weeks & I had waited enough! He then had the audacity to call me back later that day to try to sell me a different mower. Not only did this go on sooo long but not once during that 6 weeks did a single person call me from SLE with information about the $7300 mower I ordered. To top it all off I had a cashier'a check to pay for in full. It was like I was practically begging them for this mower. read more

We purchased a BE power washer from SLE Equipment that cost over $700. After using the power washer for less than two weeks it suddenly quit. I have spent multiple hours on the phone with BE and SLE to try to remedy the problem. I have been told that I need to drive 3 hours to have it repaired by an authorized dealer or that they will be happy to send me a used machine to use for parts. I do not think that these are acceptable options for a piece of equipment that is less than 2 weeks old. On numerous occasions while on the phone with both companies I have been told that this is their busy season and it will be several days before they can get back to me. When I told them that I did not want a "refurbished" machine, they told me that I was being unreasonable. We use a power washer multiple times a day for our small business. We have had to go out and buy another power washer from Lowes while we are waiting for this issue to be resolved. On my last phone conversation with SLE today, I was told that if I returned the power washer to them I would be responsible for shipping, they would charge me for the free shipping they originally gave me and I would be charged a restocking fee. Way to stand behind your products that you sell! This is by far the worst customer service I have ever experienced. We purchase products online on daily basis and have never experienced anything like this. Typically, companies go above and beyond to make sure that the customer is satisfied. We are not satisfied at all. I would hate to let anther consumer be put in the same position that we are in now. We will be taking further action is this is not resolved to our satisfaction. read more

I bought a Husqvarna zero turn mower from SLE Equipment in 2015. After one year, the brake and transmission broke. Luckily, the mower was under warranty, so I was not charged for the repairs. That is the only good thing that I can mention about this experience. I did not receive my mower back for over two months! I called at least once a week and received the same response from SLE Equipment. It was Husqvarna's problem. They, apparently, decided to update their handling of repair part inventory during the busiest time of the year and it is Husqvarna's fault, not SLE Equipment. I believe that it could have been a Husqvarna problem, but considering I bought the mower from SLE, I figured that they would make it right. If you are going to carry a specific line of equipment and sell it to consumers along with the wonderful warranty, you should go to bat for your customers. This experience has costed me over $1000 in grass cutting fees and to make matters worse, I was charged a "pickup and deliver" charge as I don't have a way to carry my mower from my property. Think twice when buying a Husqvarna mower and also think twice about buying it from SLE Equipment. My next mower will certainly not come from them. read more

Chose these people because they are only 3 hours from home. Placed order before close of business Monday. Website still shows they are "processing" the order Thursday evening after close. I could have already received the order if I had ordered from other stores farther away. Jeremy responded to my email Wednesday saying "It can take up to 3 days to process depending on our workload". This place is a complete joke and has ZERO customer service. I ordered a part and was never told they didn't have it in stock and they had to order it from the manufacturer until I called wondering why a week later I hadn't received my order. Upon talking to a less than helpful representative and asking for an overnight delivery (she declined that request stating "we don't overnight anything from here"), she did offer me 2-day shipping with a guarantee if would be delivered Saturday and I would receive the tracking info. Well here it is Monday and still nothing. No email with tracking number, no response to a voicemail that was left on Friday. I had to call again to get this information about the package arriving today. To say I'm irritated is an understatement. Going on 12 days for what should've/could've been a seamless transaction with proper communication. It's no wonder Amazon does so well and these places flop. Step your game up SLE! read more

RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN BEFOR YOU GET RIPED OFF!!!!!!!!! WOULD NOT RECOMEND!!! I ordered an item off their web page. The page stated that it was in stock and would arrive by a certain date. It did not. Called and was told that the only person that could help me was off that day but that person would call me back first thing the next day. He did not. I called again and was told that the person I needed to talk to was not there but he would call me back later that day. I then asked to talk to the manager. Johnny picked up the phone and I asked if he was the manager. He stated that he was a manager over another department and he could help. I stated my problem and he told me I would haft to wait for Cody to arrive and that would be later in the day. I was told that they do not stock this part and they are waiting for it to come in. I then ask to speak to the general manager and Johnny started tap dancing. Why you ask, because he realized that I was going to catch him lying. He did come clean and told me he was the manager over everything but could not help. SLEs own actions tell me it's ok to lie to you, in the sake of making money. SLE Equipment is the worst place to deal with and I recommend to everyone not to deal with this company. We started dealing with SLE because we could not find a trailer we needed near where we live in OH. We had to call several times to get a call back. We put a deposit down on 4/20, it would have been sooner but couldn't get return calls timely. We were told both our trailers (enclosed and tilt bed) would be in within 3 weeks. They were not. The enclosed did come in after that but the tilt bed did not. We couldn't get an exact date. We kept getting put off on dates. We were the ones which had to call to get an update until the final week of 5/21. The tilt bed was not in by 5/28 and we did get a call stating it was not in. We decided to cancel because of all the aggravation and the non-caring attitude whether we bought a trailer or not. Even though when we called back for the final time that day, they switched a tilt bed from another customer. We decided to cancel anyway. They did not want to reimburse the full amount of the deposit as they stated the enclosed trailer with barn doors was a special order (even though they advertise that). I spoke to a Manager, Cody, and he was nice and promised us to reimburse the full amount because of the aggravation. When it went to Chris, Cody's Manager, at SLE, Chris was very rude and had Darwin on the phone. Everything we stated that was an aggravation - Chris stated 'oh, you got back with them Darwin right? or you kept them informed didn't you Darwin and then tried to do math at us. He was pretty much calling us a liar. We didn't get the full amount reimbursed and the pictures they decided to send had another barn door trailer in front of the one they stated was ours (so how was ours such a special order). To cancel the order was a blessing in disguise because that afternoon we found another trailer company in North Carolina which is meeting us 1/2 way for delivery and the customer service is like night and day compared to SLE Trailers. I could write more but in short, we will never deal with SLE and will never recommend SLE to anybody. We recommend Kaufman Trailers. read more

On 8/13/17, I ordered a Husqvarna 578449701 Balance X Brushcutter String Trimmer Trio Harness. I received an email one week later telling me the item was on back order and would not be available until around 10/13 17. The web site never indicated that the item was not immediately available, if it had I would not have placed the order. I replied to the email saying that the time frame was unacceptable and ask that my credit card be refunded for the purchase price. The following Monday I called the sender, Keily, and she informed me that she needed to get approval for the refund from her manager and that she would email me when the refund was issued. On Tuesday, there was no email and I again called Keily and inquired about the refund. She stated that the refund had been issued and it would take three to five business days to show. I shall wait and see. I have two issues with SLE, first, selling equipment that they do not have in stock and waiting one week before advising the buyer, secondly, the lack of follow through on the part of their employees. If you are going to order from them, I would highly recommend that you do so telephonically so that you can confirm if the product ia actually available. read more
