We're Hot Doggin' NEPA Style, checking out Sheetz's all-new big glizzy Nathan's all-beef footlong chili and shredded cheese hot dog. We don't rate hot dogs--we celebrate them with great toppings, like in this case, chili and cheese. Big shoutout to the Sheetz in Wyoming, PA, and to Kate, Kenzie, and the two Zachs--awesome folks who make sure you have a great experience at this location. I didn't modify the dog at all; just had it as it came. The bun was soft and felt steamed, the all-beef dog was delicious, and the chili tasted the same as on their regular dogs--no difference I could detect. This dog was the bomb! I also tried the broccoli and cheddar bites--five per order--served hot and packed with, of course, broccoli and cheese. A great side item. As in my other Sheetz reviews, I can't say enough about their amazingly delicious fresh ground and brewed coffee with the cool touch screens. Why anyone would pay for Starbucks is beyond me... The food was good, just took a little while to get because it was very busy and there seemed to be fewer people in the kitchen than there should have been-typical these days and probably no one's fault, just circumstances during a labor shortage. Typical breakfast sandwiches for the ride home was just the fuel I needed in addition to the gas for the car. If in the area and needing a coffee or fuel, this is the right place for good quality and value.

We decided to throw traditional Easter out the window and head to a state park instead. In this case Ricketts Glen which had been on my to-do list for years. While not horribly far from the home office (2 1/2 hours) it's very out the way so it got pushed until now. On the way we needed gas and there's not much in the area except thankfully for this Citgo. Great price at the time of $1.85 per and while others were fueling up we had no problem driving right to a pump to begin the festivities. Easy on/off 118 and the station is about 15 minutes from the park. All good and no assistance needed. As good as it gets for gas.

Then we decided to get some food and use the restrooms. Restrooms were very clean but they did look like something you'd see in a fern bar from the 70's or 80's. The travel store had plenty of snacks and drinks (but alas, no plain seltzer which I was craving). We stopped at the deli near the Iron Skillet restaurant and ordered a chicken salad on a kaiser roll. It was pretty good but a little messy to eat. Overall, the location was clean even if it was a little run down. Very easy to get on and off I-81. I'd recommend for a quick pit stop if you're on the road.
