I've actually been to this Petro a few times and I love coming here. I paid for reserved parking because I wanted to be in the front it cost $22 which is reasonable. The service I requested was a shower and the cashier was so friendly. There is a lot of parking here! read more

We needed gas on our way back home and since we use Shell, we made a beeline for this place. Gas fillup (using the Shell app which lets you pay within the app so you don't have to put your card in the pump where you run the risk of having it skimmed...highly recommend) was quick and easy. Then we decided to get some food and use the restrooms. Restrooms were very clean but they did look like something you'd see in a fern bar from the 70's or 80's. The travel store had plenty of snacks and drinks (but alas, no plain seltzer which I was craving). We stopped at the deli near the Iron Skillet restaurant and ordered a chicken salad on a kaiser roll. It was pretty good but a little messy to eat. Overall, the location was clean even if it was a little run down. Very easy to get on and off I-81. I'd recommend for a quick pit stop if you're on the road. read more

Closed but site says open. It looks like a ghost town. There is parking but no services.

Not exactly right off the Interstate, this is a full service truck stop has plenty of room for the 18 wheelers and a separate entrance for the gasoline-powered cars and RV's with high cover so that you can top up and stay dry. The facility is probably the closest to the airport, though it's not exactly on site. Note that my receipt printer did not work and I had to go inside for the receipt. read more

This is a huge truck stop/gasoline service station. There is ample parking for cars, buses, RVs, tractor trailors. The interior was old and needs remodeling. The gal behind the register was fantastic, even tho she was being extremely hasseled by a man whose credit card did not work. It's also somewhat hard to get to this place, but we needed gas and had to stop. read more

I needed to refill the rental car before returning it to the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Airport today and the counter person had told me that the station was right at the entrance to the airport. Well, it is and it isn't. If you're not on 81, then it's near the entrance. In any case, it's easy to get to the place if you know how or follow the signs to the correct exit. I like the place because their price is about the lowest in the area in spite of its location just of 81. It's nice they don't gouge the tourists or the rental car returners. I was in and out quickly. Now if I had just driven directly to Philadelphia International Airport instead of that god-forsaken Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Airport, I'd be in Las Vegas now instead of writing a Yelp review while spending the night at the Philadelphia Airport. This place is pretty clean compare to other truck stop. Well the facility itself is outstanding. Plenty of parking and very clean. Only issue is a lot of people wandering through the parking lot at night looking at trailer doors that are not Petro employees. They need to hire security here. read more

It's a truck stop. Close to airport, nice views of the valley in the parking lot. Good place to refuel or wait for plane arrival since there is no cell phone lot. Been there 40 years or so, it looks like they are putting money into it. Avoid the traffic hassles at the Pilot across from Walmart and give this place a try. read more

Worst truck repair got here at 3 pm for a simple A Service 7 hours later still not even started it! They told me 2 hours first time in there then second time in was told only person could do it was working on a steering knuckle but once done he would start mine then at 7 hour mark told he is working on a starter now but once he is done! They don't care about your time sitting losing money will never be back here! read more

Horrible employees, run down store that probably hasn't been updated since the 70s. Showers are disgusting, not worth any amount of money. Little food options, non existent hot food. Very rude associates. Stay at the Pilot down the road, at least that place has food to eat. read more

Do not stop here if you need a 34 or expect to get services. The management allows drivers to run the place based on their particular likes and dislikes. Most of it based on baiting and race tactics. TV, movie room restaurant service.etc. I won't return here, I'm too " priveliged " I would give it a minus 10. read more

I never thought a truck stop could be such a pleasant experience! We pulled in late at night, parked in the RV parking (we drive a Ford van). We paid $15 to plug in and had a good, safe night's sleep. Breakfast at their restaurant, the Iron Skillet. They also offer showers and an array of travelers' needs. We're so glad to know that. Convenient place to stop for a break on a long trip. Food at the Iron Skillet restaurant is average truck stop food. Very clean restrooms. Can be tricky turning into the parking lot since one lane is for autos and the other for trucks. read more

I remember Petro being a decent place for lunch several years back . I stopped there with a friend several days ago and the place smelled like a sewer and the buffet was full of old food that had been sitting there , the only thing fresh was the baked chicken , the breads and rolls were very stale and the soups had an odd taste . I had the all you can eat Buffett..very good! Hand carved turkey etc.pricey but good ..as a petro goes its one of the better on the east coast as far as cleanliness etc..just not the greatest to navigate into ..especially with the new rotary by the interstate.. read more

Got stuck in early evening road construction, so took the exit to come here with my trucker. Needless to say, it's a pain in the behind to get to! You have to go through two traffic circles, I felt like I was Clark Griswold! Anyway, besides that, tons of parking! I got nervous when some of the Google reviews said it was a Pay to Park, but I didn't see anything about it and we parked for free at 7:15PM. Went in and got the dinner buffet from the Iron Skillet. Was a little pricey and our waitress had some kind of emergency, so she had to leave in the middle of us being there, but the salad was fresh and the food was awesome. Since my husband doesn't fuel at Petro or TA because of his company, we were going to pay for a shower, but some good Samaritan gave us one and made my night! The shower room was a tad small for two people, but it was way nicer looking than Pilot's showers, almost spa like. The women's bathrooms were clean, but smelled bad. read more
