Not that I was talked to, but the owner Neil, it's amazing what a wealth of info when it comes to buying a mattress. As i'm in sales too, i'm sure all the competitors offer similar 90-return policies, price-matching, make you try all the different beds and all but here's why I chose Simmons: --assembled and made here locally! --Sleep Country doesn't specialize in any particularly brand, as they carry all brands --their discounts based on what incentives the manufacturers offer to the sales ppl! It's all about the service, and they let me try 6 different beds, there for about 2 hours, gradullay narrowing down to me liking the medium firmness, with a soft 'topper'. and i'm just amazed how much quality sleep i get now; from 4 hrs to about 6, though when i know i have to wake up early on just a few hours of sleep, then i'm back to the futon/sofa ;)))

Mike asked us what we were looking for, listened to us, gave us a few choices, and helped us pick the perfect mattress. Then it was time to talk price. We expected to pay through our nose but the one we picked happened to be on sale, and he offered to throw in a fancy mattress pad, and delivery was free, and they have a service to take away your old mattress for only $10.50!!! That was on a Wed, he scheduled delivery for Sat, he said the delivery guys would call between 8 and 9 am to give us a time for delivery. They called at 8:20 am, they said they would deliver between 2 and 5 pm, they arrived at 2:30pm. It was raining and I hadn't covered our floors yet but no problem, out of their pockets they pulled out booties to slip on!!! They were courteous, professional and extremely efficient!!! Now, if the mattress lives up to its expectations, I would say that the whole experience was heaven sent!!!!

At first I was going to go to one of the bigger company stores but when I looked online I just felt they were overcharging on everything, whereas the Mattress guy gave me a great deal and took away my old mattress for a small and reasonable fee. All in all the amount I paid was great value for the great quality and I love that it's made locally and I'm supporting a small local business. The delivery guys were super friendly and easy going and my whole experience was just fantastic. I would definitely recommend and will go back for my next purchase. This is an employee review, so a little different perspective than the other reviews. I was brought…read morein to help with sales inside the store while also developing outside sales revenue as well. The owner is nice and the other employees were great. The problem was the wife of the owner who has kind of taken over running the front part of the store. She hired me and I was supposed to work 3 shifts a week in-store and then the outside sales on my own time. The pay for the inside sales was hourly while the compensation for the outside revenue would be commission although she kept avoiding my questions when I tried to pin her down on how that worked. She was always evasive about it and the regular wages were paid in an even sketchier way. My first six shifts went fine and I was selling things and negotiating pricing. The customers liked me and I had even gotten two solid leads on outside sales with a pretty big builder and a new private school. I came into my next shift and worked only to have my immediate Manager tell me the owner's wife had replaced me, but that I could still do the outside sales if I wanted. Yeah, right. Sum total. 7 shifts worked. I signed an employment agreement, but was never given tax forms to fill out. I got completely screwed by this company and by the wife of the owner. Prospective employees beware.

I did find a good chair for what will be my "reading and guitar" corner, and super cheap ($49 with ottoman, basic cloth with wooden frame, the comparable is $160 at Ikea), but was annoyed when other customers and a sales associate basically got in the way of me looking at it. This place would gain a star to reduce merchandise to allow more shopping space.

It is easy to say it has been 'the' best mattress protector I have purchased and used. The pad has really done 'its thing' well, and at the same time, has proven to be so comfy and durable. I recently decided to call Sleep Country to purchase a second one -- to make my bedsheet changes quick and easy. When we said we just wanted a refund as their 100 night guarantee says, they got angry and yelled, threatened us, slandered us in front of other customers, and Jaspreet made sexually charged comments to my wife - "I'll put something in your mouth to shut you up." Refused to do my refund, then said it was my fault, and threatened to call the police on us if we didn't leave the store. Head office has finally intervened and is sending us a refund cheque, but we've been without a bed since the delivery (they took our old bed away when they delivered the new one), so haven't had a bed or our $3050 returned in 5 days now. Sleep Country head office hasn't taken our allegations seriously and doesn't think their employees did anything wrong. Don't go to Sleep Country, especially this Poco location.

Called within a few days and was told it will soften up, just walk on it for a while this is normal ! NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES . What's funny as I was loading it it didn't look like the floor model and was told it was the same but different color. So it's been over a month and hours of walking on it like they said to do and no difference to the rock hard product from the day we got it. So I guess you get WHERE you buy from. Shop where you don't get hit on the ass and pocket book on the way out. Too bad, the guy was actually a good guy just bad product and policies
