Poor customer service and communication! I recently moved to Connecticut and am in need of making an appointment. I have left several messages and emails and no return phone call. I ended up going to the office in person and was told that I can't make an appointment without a referral. That is not true but never the less I had my physician in Virginia send over a referral 6 days ago and still no return phone call. I have sleep apnea and am in shock that no one answers the phone, returns voice mails or emails. This office is very close to my home so I tried two, three, four times but I guess I will have to go somewhere else. read more

Rude, unpleasant and unprofessional, the office staff at the Hamden location should probably look for a different profession. I'm not sure what is happening in this office, but they need to address the problem with their reception staff. read more

Run! Don't look back! I've been going there for years and now, after seeing another provider, it looks like something sinister is happening here. Except for the one doctor I saw, mostly everyone else is unprofessional. The receptionist is a bore and totally bored with her job. The technician hung up on me twice when I asked about a mistake in the supplies she sent. Speaking of supplies, sleep centers are supposed to go through DMEs, not provide supplies on their own. Guess what? They don't go through a DME. They are milking people for all they are worth. Criminals! read more

Patient at this center for approx 10 years. They sold me a travel CPAP machine that stopped working. The manufacturer agreed to replace the unit (Z2 auto), but I needed a script from the Sleep Disorder Clinic. They informed me they were no longer prescribing for travel CPAP units due to the recent recalls. My machine was not a recall unit. They refused to provide a script allowing me to replace the machine THEY had sold me. The person answering the phone gave me a big sigh of frustration as I was insistent I speak with the doctor. She then hung up on me. Recommend you go almost anywhere else. read more

I called because my husbands cpap machine is unusable. Was told that there was an opening in Norwalk (about 1 hour from us) at time that he could not attend...was told that the next appt was 3 weeks later. I then asked how he was supposed to manage his sleep apnea without a machine, my husband was frustrated and asked if he died before then, then what. The receptionist stated that she offered an appt. and that there is another in 3 weeks. She was extremely rude and when my husband began to question her she hung up in our faces. I have heard from others that this woman is particularly the reason for the bad reviews....Front desk receptionist you know you need to maybe brush up on your customer service skills. Horrible customer service, specifically Melissa D, who was rude, admitted she was refusing to help resolve a recall issue with my cpap, and hung up on me. When I asked to schedule an appointment she slammed phone down on me. I immediately called back and Kanisha answered stating Melissa was out on a half hour break. Luckily Kanisha had stronger customer service skills and helped by explaining the process of the recall and got an appointment scheduled in 5 weeks. Melissa is a nightmare who should not be working with patients. I have been a patient here for 10 years, this office always had an "off" feeling to it, but after today and my interaction with Melissa, I know it is well past the time that I need a new doctor. Rearranged my work schedule and childcare to be able to make an appointment here, got a confirmation from their system, and then was told to come back on a different day when I got there. I showed the receptionist my appointment confirmation, and all she did was smile at me. Totally unapologetic, totally unprofessional. If I wasn't already started with them, I would not come back. read more

TERRIBLE!!!! Had to wait 2 1/2 months to see a doctor after I got my CPAP and found out I couldn't use one due to getting severe headaches. Found out they have been billing me for CPAP i cant use, PLUS they used my Credit Card without my authorization!!!!! I refused to sign the paper work the day of my Sleep test that would allow them to use my Credit card anytime they wanted to use it to bill me... But jerk in Billing decided she can do what ever she wants to collect!!! Dont think so!!!!! Getting a new doctor!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! unless you want to give someone access to use YOUR Card anytime they see fit!!!!! read more

The physicians are top notch but their Billing Department (or perhaps the lack of one) can make payments confusing. One time they over billed me and I had to get my insurance involved. Go figure, the insurance company contacted them to correct the bill. Thank goodness for Kim in Billing who was finally able to explain some things but that was after 4 months of trying to get answers. They also seem to bill for supplies I never ordered. It's a lucrative industry so they're probably playing the game many other sleep centers do and milking it for all its worth. Best to go here with your eyes open (the irony of it all) and pocketbook closely guarded. read more
