We had a very nice sleep. Everything was very clean and neat, and the room was comfortable. The reason for my rating, is that there isn't any hot water. We didn't exactly have nice hot showers, but overall it was a good experience. The breakfast was very nice, it had a good selection and we had a great experience here!

If I could give it zero stars, I would. Avoid this hotel like the plague. Not only was it dirty, but there was mold in the room. They refused even a partial refund. I never write reviews, but I'm furious.

Old cigarette butts and ashes on the bed railing.

This hotel is a nightmare. I should have just listened to the reviews, but there was a mix of them. However, please believe the reviews of this hotel that are not good as these hold true facts. The hotel is supposed to be 100% smoke free, but it is not. The rooms are not clean as mine had ashes, cigarettes butts, dirty toilets, desk tops and bathtub. I couldn't get another room because they were all sold out (don't really want another room, I want another hotel). Customer Service was the worst by a lady named H***n. I won't disclose her whole name here. I feel like I'm in a nightmare, but I have contacted guest relations with Choice hotels and I am waiting to see how that goes. Currently searching for a new hotel. 0 stars here.

I checked in around 11 pm, 3 of the pillows on the bed were dirty, so I pealed the covers back to check the bed also just in case. Took a shower, went partying and did not come back until the following evening. When I got to the room the bed was made and the dirty pillows were back on it. Tried to call the front desk but the phone was not working so I had to walk up there, I asked the person if I could have my linen changed please because they were dirty. He went in back and come out and said I have 3 pillow cases for you, a sheet, fitted sheet and a pull over, like he had already knew that 3 of the pillow cases were dirty.

Zero stars...zero. This place is disgusting. I can't believe I let booking.com fool me with their reviews. This place must have paid people for their reviews. This place is a shelter and a "hotel". The sheets smelled. The hallways were dirty and smelled like marijuana. Mold In the bathroom. I paid $150 for one night and I'll never stay there again. Stay far away from here. Save your money.

What appeared to be a dropping ... found in the bed of room 111. Asked staff to come check it out, and he simply brushed it onto the floor.

If I could leave NEGATIVE stars, I would. My family and I checked in on Monday evening after a fun-filled day at nearby Sesame Place. The hotel is definitely older and in need of some upgrades, but it was late, and we were exhausted .. so the esthetics were no big deal to us. EVERYTHING changed the next morning. We woke up and I saw what closely resembled a dropping in one of the beds. I went to the front desk and told the man [because he was no gentleman] that there was something that "appeared" to be a dropping in the bed. He came to take a look and simply brushed the specimen off the bed and stared at the ceiling. I said, "Sir, the object is black. The ceiling is white." He said he'd have maintenance come within a few hours. We were due to check out in about 45 minutes, so I asked to speak to a manager. He said that the manager would be there within 10 minutes and that he would send her directly to our room. Cool. 45 minutes later, no manager knocked on our door, and it was check-out time. I go to the front desk and ask if the manager arrived yet. The same man stated, "Oh, she's not coming in." I demanded that they call someone .. that manager, her manager ... SOMEBODY!! Mind you, no one issued an apology, any indications of empathy, ANYTHING!!!! They began talking to each other in their own language. The young lady behind the counter begins calling .... she claims that the manager is not picking up. My husband and I remained standing at the front desk as she calls. At this point, the man is frustrated ... the tone of his voice is escalating, and he even asked, "exactly what do you want??" I had to stop talking to him completely. He was beyond condescending and rude. Somehow, MIRACULOUSLY *rolls eyes* the manager answers the phone. The young lady talks to her for a few minutes in their own language and finally tells me "She's issuing a refund." I said, "Okay that's fine, but let me speak directly to her." Because at this point, its waayyyyy bigger than the refund. I speak to the manager and tell her exactly what happened. She offers a half hearted apology and states that she's issuing a refund. I said, "Okay, that is fine. But you also need to be aware of the unprofessional and deplorable conduct of your front desk staff." Before I could even finish, the manager, Ms. Jadu Patel, begins to loudly overtalk me, just as the male had! Literally cutting me off, offering the same dry apology, and not listening to a word I had to say. The only thing I said that she responded to was my threat of writing this Yelp review and contacting corporate. She said, "Oh no, ma'am, that won't be necessary!" Oh, its very necessary dear. I have never experiences such a disrespectful, deplorable hotel staff in my life. Please believe that corporate has also been notified.

Falsely Charged $700 Days After Checkout for Internal Maintenance Failure!…read more I am writing this review to warn potential guests about the predatory and fraudulent billing practices at this hotel. I checked out of Room 325 on December 28th and left the room in perfectly clean, undamaged condition. Days later, on December 31st, the hotel hit my credit card with two separate, unauthorized charges--one for $300 and one for $400, totaling $700. When I investigated these ridiculous charges, I discovered that the hotel is attempting to hold me financially responsible for a severe, internal electrical failure of their own equipment. I have full photographic evidence of the room's PTAC (heating/cooling) unit, which clearly shows dangerous internal electrical arcing, melted wire insulation, and a heavily scorched power plug. This is a hazardous appliance malfunction resulting from a total lack of routine facility maintenance, not guest misuse or vandalism. It is completely unacceptable for a business to pass the cost of repairing their failed, unmaintained building fixtures onto an unsuspecting guest--especially days after checkout. I have already escalated this directly to corporate guest relations and have filed a formal dispute and chargeback with my credit card company, providing the full photographic proof of the equipment failure.

In a hospitality outfit like this with the in-room jacuzzis and libertarian approach to collective usage of the property - something I think enhances its nostalgic charm - there are certain aspects that require either appreciative tolerance or overlooking it entirely. And the jets are weak in the jacuzzi but it does get super hot. Ceiling mirrors are what you're there for. I saw Puxatawney Phil in the yard. Breakfast sucks, but I don't eat breakfast anyway. However; I did attend a wedding ceremony/reception here for a good friend of mines who I was excited to celebrate and see walk down the aisle. My mother and I picked up a bottle of bubbly for the newly weds as a gift and as we were simply signing the card and putting the bottle in the gift bag the manager walked over to us and told us that we could not open the bottle there. We assured her that the bottle was not going to be opened, as it did not belong to us as we were giving it to the bride and groom as a gift. She walked away and then maybe nomore than 10 minutes later the employee is walking over to us telling us that his manager told him that we had a bottle so he came to address the same issue that she had already mistaken misread the room and addressed... Really annoyed and upset us because here we are simply enjoying the wedding, NOT opening the bottle and we practically were harassed for having it... almost felt watched afterwards too. So yeah, I would not consider hosting any events here or if you do, advise your guest to leave these kind of gifts in their vehicles until afterwards or something because that was ridiculous. The food was okay, servers were attentive not the less and the wedding turned out nice besides that hence the only stars I could cough up here but the manager should not have addressed us or anyone else that way--it's rude, uncalled for and offensive.

It's 3 floors, with a sitting room, dining room, and kitchen on the first floor. A hangout room on the 2nd floor and bedrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floor. There was an issue with the room we originally booked, and Candace upgraded our room for us.l before we even arrived. Our new room was great. It had two parts to it, a king-size bed, futon, and a beautiful bathroom. Candace and the Inn were also accommodating , as we booked on a third party site not realizing kids under 8 were not allowed and they allowed us to bring our 1 year old (he loved the place, too, btw). The bed portion of our bed and breakfast experience was wonderful. The con would have to be the breakfast part. So, first, we should have read their website before booking, as it does state that they serve continental breakfast during the week, and we stayed on a Monday night. As disappointed as we were, that's on us. However, what we were served wasn't even that, in my opinion. There were muffins, some grab and go granola bars, oatmeal packets, and some fruit (apples and tangerines). We were pretty disappointed in the spread. The breakfast options also stayed out all day and also played the roll of the snacks they offered. So when we arrived, the blueberry muffins and granola bars were out in the kitchen to take. We were offered the same thing for breakfast the next morning. Another reviewer stated that this felt more like an AirBnB, and I agree. I think one of the special aspects of a bed and breakfast is not only the charming atmosphere (check, they got that right) but receiving a nice breakfast in the morning. I get weekdays can be slow, so I can forgive a continental breakfast, but there should at least be some yogurt or toast or bagels or something. So, we will settle on 3 stars. The bed portion was a 4/5 star experience, but the breakfast was a 1.
