This is the second year in a row that we stayed here. I think they can work on the staffing for the front desk. We arrived around 2:30 and there is only 1 staff checking guests in. The line was almost to tge door but the time we were done. The waiter at the breakfast was completely flustered. Onto the good points. The room (looked newly renovated) was simplistic but clean. Ehhh... Let me start by saying I did not stay here as a guest so I cannot speak to that part of the experience . However; I did attend a wedding ceremony/reception here for a good friend of mines who I was excited to celebrate and see walk down the aisle. My mother and I picked up a bottle of bubbly for the newly weds as a gift and as we were simply signing the card and putting the bottle in the gift bag the manager walked over to us and told us that we could not open the bottle there. We assured her that the bottle was not going to be opened, as it did not belong to us as we were giving it to the bride and groom as a gift. She walked away and then maybe nomore than 10 minutes later the employee is walking over to us telling us that his manager told him that we had a bottle so he came to address the same issue that she had already mistaken misread the room and addressed... Really annoyed and upset us because here we are simply enjoying the wedding, NOT opening the bottle and we practically were harassed for having it... almost felt watched afterwards too. So yeah, I would not consider hosting any events here or if you do, advise your guest to leave these kind of gifts in their vehicles until afterwards or something because that was ridiculous. The food was okay, servers were attentive not the less and the wedding turned out nice besides that hence the only stars I could cough up here but the manager should not have addressed us or anyone else that way--it's rude, uncalled for and offensive. read more

Had three members of my family staying here. The staff checked us in under the wrong names, and it took a while to sort out. There was a loud party in the hallway until 3:30am that the staff did nothing about, making it impossible to sleep. First off I did not stay at this hotel, however I did attend a wedding here today. The banquet room was beautifully decorated for the wedding and reception all in one room. Once the wedding was done the chairs were removed and floor opened for dancing. Everything was going well, everyone was having a great time. I go to the car to get my wedding gift which was a bottle of wine along with a monetary card gift. The gift bag that the wine bottle was in torn so I took it out and had it sitting on the table were we were sitting, while I filled out my card, so I can put it on the gift table. The manager in charge of the banquet room comes over to tell me I couldn't open the bottle. I said it's not for me it's my gift for the couple.. but thanks for minding my business! She takes it a step further and tells our server I had the bottle of wine and he comes over and said I know my manager said something to you about the bottle and I just wanted to tell you there's no drinking in the dining room..and I lost it, like why do two people have to tell me about a wine bottle I brought as a gift. It wasn't opened, I just wasn't understanding why she had to go tell him to tell me again, about a gift I brought for the couple. Who does that! ?? It was unnecessary to say the least. I could see if it was opened then come say your just do. But don't come harassing me about something that wasn't anything. Never again will I be back here. Treat your guest with some respect lady just baggering people for nothing at all. Gifts go home with the couple when they leave like stop the foolery! We had to change rooms twice. The first room, there was a square cutout in the ceiling above the shower exposing the pipes etc and damaged tile on the wall. The 2nd room they moved us to, the air conditioning was not working. Finally the 3rd room was ok but room not 100% clean, toilet didn't appear clean and there were Cheerios on the floor next to the bed. The rooms were very stark. However I need to say that the staff were very nice, the maintenance guy was prompt and apologetic. The front desk folks were very nice and Jose comped a round of drinks at the bar for the inconvenience. I think removing a nights room charge would have been more in line with superior customer service. read more

This hotel is currently undergoing renovations, but even the renovated rooms are poor quality. My room had a connecting door to another room, and the gap at the bottom was large enough that I could see light and movement from the neighboring room, which raised serious privacy concerns. The bathroom still had visible rust in the tub, and the towels and sheets felt worn and low quality. To make matters worse, the hotel charges $18.95 per person for breakfast. I would expect those prices at a true high-end hotel, but not at a property of this quality. There wasn't even complimentary coffee available for guests. Overall, this felt more like an upgraded motel 6 than a 4-star hotel. For travelers accustomed to staying at 3.5-star hotels or higher, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Stayed here last weekend for 2 nights for a family wedding. We saw lots of families/wedding parties so my guess is its a pretty popular wedding venue and hotel close to outside Philly. Check in was a little messy but I think that was the party in front of us as there seemed to be some mix up with their room. We were able to check in fine but our cards stopped working mid day the second day and we had to get new ones. Several other guests mentioned having the same problem. Might've been a system glitch. We had one of the "renovated" rooms but it felt cold. Bare floor, bare walls, hardly any natural light. Toilet had issues flushing here and there and there's little to no shower pressure. At least the bed was one of the better ones I've had at a hotel. Breakfast is available at the cafe on site but be careful. Its $18.95 NOT COMPLIMENTARY. ($15.00 + 20% gratuity) You can also just get coffee and a la carte items like muffins, pasteries, etc to go. We were not informed about this and ended up paying for the buffet. Offerings were standard: Scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fruit, bagels. Honestly I've had better complimentary breakfasts at smaller hotels but if you're in a pinch its fine. Opt for the ala cate. Staff were very friendly and accommodating so I can't fault them for that. But the website listed the price as $11 so the $18 price was a bit alarming. Parking is free and location wise its about a 15 min drive to a lot of shops and venues, 45 min to center city Philadelphia (With traffic) so overall a good spot right off 76. We were able to pick up my husband's tux at a local men's warehouse after a size mistake and get gas/food at a wawa and chick fil a near by. Overall a solid 3 for good location, friendly staff, and free parking. read more

I stayed at the Radisson in northeast Philadelphia on New Years Eve and I should've stayed home. I checked into my room around 5 PM and upon entry the room seemed fine. After settling in we noticed that there was no microwave in the room, annoying but not a massive issue. We then realized the door to the room was roughly two inches off of the floor and you could see directly into the hallway from the bottom of the door, lacking privacy and safety. We needed to get ice for our room and quickly realized that the ice machine on the floor was broken. Meaning we had to travel to other floors in search of ice. The room was ICE cold. We raised the heat and realized the unit was blowing out cold air and when we made a complaint we were told to control the heat from the unit not the thermostat on the wall, which was impossible to do as the unit was turned off. We asked for additional blankets to keep warm and were given two quilts which did nothing throughout the night because as stated on the sign on the broken unit, the heat was motion sensor controlled so we spent the night shivering in bed despite the heat being turned to at least 80. We wanted to watch television and upon turning on the television, we got a "no service" image and were unable to get any channels. After trying to get it to work and failing we decided to call the front desk. It was at this moment that we realized our phone, which was labeled didn't work. We couldn't call the rooms of our family members in other rooms, or the front desk. I used my cell phone to call the hotel and was given a "oh I'm sorry" when they heard the phone didn't work. They told us they would send someone to fix the tv and an hour later we were still scrolling on our phones, nobody ever showed. PLEASE do yourself the favor and book at the nearest Red Roof Inn where im sure the quality is the same for a lot less money. read more

Our room smelled like weed. It was newly renovated but just meh. The bathroom door didn't close and the tub looked dirty. We were there with a 4 year old and 2 year old- so none of these things were ideal. We ate at the hotel restaurant and they charged us each 2 dollars for water. My husband and I each ordered a beer and the kids got lemonade- so I felt like charging for waters was a bit ridiculous. The beds were clean and comfortable, the pillows were the size of couch throw pillows but we brought our own pillows from home. Overall we had a good stay and the room was adequate but I wouldn't choose to stay here again. read more

Where do I start. First check in. I checked in Saturday. Stayed Saturday to Monday. I was at the hotel for the 3pm check in time. I stood in line for an hour to check in. There was 1 part time employee working the check in desk. It is Easter weekend, there was a wedding that had a block. A couple of birthday parties that had blocks, and regular people just coming to stay for Easter weekend. 1 hour to.check in. Manager or supervisor on the premise. The children's birthday parties were being had in the lobby, and young children running amouk in the hallways until well after midnight. Now to Sunday. Easter. I had to do Easter stuff family and all that. Had a long horrible day. Went back to.tje hotel to.have a relaxing swim in the open 7 days a week from 9 am to 10 pm. Pool. A nice sighn closed for cleaning. Went to.the front desk to get more towels for my room. Nobody working the desk. I was yelling hello,.calling the number, knocking on the desk. Nothing. Found a.random employee to ask for help. He was very unhelpful, probably because he couldn't understand English. I usually stay at cheap motels and never have an issue like this. I booked for two nights, the 29th and 30th of May, 2025. The first room they assigned to me had flooding in the bathroom and smelled bad. I was given the choice to have an unrenovated room or another renovated room which the front desk person said might also have a bad smell because it had been recently painted but the unrenovated room still had carpet. I imagined the carpet that needed to be renovated was gross, so I chose another renovated room but it also had a bad smell. I booked through Priceline and the amenites listed an indoor pool. It did not mention that the indoor pool was being renovated and was unavailable. On the morning after my first night, I went for Coffee in the lobby and it was luke warm. There was not a single drawer in the room. Parts of the lobby were also being renovated which was not mentioned in the Priceline listing. read more

This hotel was a major disappointment for my daughter's wedding stay.We had a wedding block set up and the problems started the minute we checked in. It did not only affect us but the entire hotel. I blame the management as the staff is not qualified to deal with anything and a manager was never on property.The keys to the rooms didn't work, the rooms smelled of weed, the pillows and blankets were made for children, plumbing issues, non -air conditioned hallways, breakfast was more expensive than advertised and included a mandatory 20% tip while being lukewarm,and overcharging for a negotiated block rate. There was also a bat flying around the lobby and the open atrium hallways and when I told the front desk and maintenance the response was "Oh Wow". It was embarrassing to my family to have brought people to this hotel. I have contacted the hotel's customer service and have yet to get a response. read more

Booked my stay through sesame place .. I had to cancel our trip and booked this one last minute just to get my kids away for few days and have fun .. walking to our room in hallway we noticed a huge roach but tried to pay no mind .. as I was getting the kids ready for bed this was climbing by my kids bedside .. I went to front desk and we were met with a bad attitude and no understanding .. I had to transport a tired 5 year old and 1 year old at 11pm out of a hotel and home and explain to my 5 year old why we were going home .. I work in biggest mall in downtown Brooklyn and never seen a roach like this insane !!!!! To try and get a refund for a stay I didn't even get to stay for is a huge run around front desk tells me to call and when I call they tell me to go to front desk .. it's my first time booking through sesame and I was so excited until my day ended like this it's so disappointing .. Update : I was able to speak to somebody through sesame the next day and get a partial refund although we didn't even get to actually enjoy any part of our package or visit to the park since we now had to go home but whatever .. Later in this day I was checking my account when I noticed the hotel took more money out.. I called to find out what happened and they explained they were charging me for a hole in the wall that was there before we checked in.. I explained to Stacey my husband noticed that when we checked in was not aware we were supposed to inspect and inform the hotel staff of damage when we get there didn't know that was a thing .. She was able to assist me with that charge but I just found it insane how they tried to charge me for something that we all know was there before I got there let's be realistic the hotel is outdated but that's not what bothered me what bothered me was the roaches being if one of those suckers sneak into your luggage your home is doomed!!! And to top it off the staff was annoyed with me as if I was inconveniencing them meanwhile I had to lug two cranky kids out of a hotel and a long drive home at 11pm .. Pretty nice hotel for a one or two night stay. Staff was friendly and helpful and the check in process was surprisingly quick. This hotel has so many amenities including an indoor pool, gym and an arcade. The pool area is wide open and spacious with tons of chairs to just relax with your family. The kids in our party were loving the pool and having a great time splashing around. The hotel is a standard hotel with the amenities that you need to have a good stay. To me the best part about the hotel is the pool area. The hotel needs some upgrades in the bathrooms and the room because there are some cracks and peeled paint on the walls. read more

The chef at the breakfast buffet went out of his way to make my son eggs the way he wanted them. He is autistic and they where very kind. The inside pool is super cloudy. I checked in after 3:30 on July 7, I had a vacation package. Which included two adults and three kids. And season tickets to Sesame Place, I asked for a cot which I thought was not a big deal. This hotel offered kid activities and a gift at check in. The price and activities got me. But I was so wrong. When I checked in they placed a basket on the desk and told the kids to pick something. Crayon and an Olive Garden coloring book. Then I had to go downstairs two times to ask about the cot which now it was after 11 pm. The first visit to ask about the cot I was told it was delivered. I went back to the room and noticed it was still not there. My second visit back downstairs after 11:30 pm I was then told why I am just coming downstairs to say I didn't get the cot. The lady behind the desk asked Joe if he could help me with a cot. They exchanged unpleasant words because that was not his job he was not the housekeeper. But he still helped me more than I could say for anyone else. After midnight I finally got a cot THANKS to JOE. Monday I tried to speak to a manager but she was off due to working July 4 I was told by the staff. Tuesday came and I briefly got to speak to Aubrey in the morning because I had reservations. But I did get a survey on my phone which I rated a 1. Thinking someone would reach out to me. I was wrong. Tuesday night I got back to the hotel after 6:30 pm and noticed the Cookie Decorating activities had started. This event was from 6 - 7 pm. When I asked the guy at the desk I was told no one showed up so my kids are more than welcome to attend. When I walked to the room I was met by a very nasty lady. She wanted to know was I apart of the vacation package. After I tried to explain myself and the guy at the desk tried getting nowhere I left and went to my room. When I got to the room my kid notice the ceiling was leaking water. When I went downstairs I was told I was checking out in the morning. All I could do at this point was laugh and walk back to my room. My sister was so disgusted at this point she packed her kid up in the middle of the night and drove 3 hours back home. I am not good at driving at night so I sucked it up and prayed the ceiling in the bathroom would not collapse. Around 8:30 I got up and started to get out of there before check out at 12. I finally got to speak with Aubrey and explained everything about my experience. I was NOT offered a complimentary stay or a free breakfast. I was told since my reservation was a vacation package from Sesame Place she would reach out to them on my behalf. I was left speechless. this hotel has bedbugs. Probably because they are so dirty. Their rooms are completely filthy. all kinds of hair in the bed animal hair, pubic hair someone's their head in the bed that's supposed to be clean. I saw all this with my own eyes. I have bites all over me. When I told them what was going on they switched my room. And again the room was completely filthy. They suggested that I should leave if I was not comfortable. Of course I took a shower before I left. So they charge me for an entire night. I was only there for a few hours maybe more cause I was loading and unloading and loading and unloading and moving my stuff being from California all the way in Pennsylvania been there for four months. I had to empty it all out of my car to take my car to the dealership so that I could get back on the road and come home. This hotel ripped me off to where I couldn't even make it home. I had bites all over me made me sick. And days gave me problems about the charges that they were gonna charge me. They had a wedding going on there. I was very civilized and very on the down low and quiet. And these people still charge me for not even being there because I took a shower before I left their dirty hotel completely filthy. The thing that kind of make me angry about this place is that it's very outdated. I promise you, I looked it up and it states on the site, that the hotel was renovated in 2018 but honestly this place was old is hell. If I could've been able to find a reasonable priced spot last minute, I would've switched hotels because it was a doozy. Let me explain: I do believe that they need a serious REAL renovation. The carpet looks like it was a secondhand use from Motel 6 and the furniture is tore up (please burn them) with rips in them. I literally covered the chair with towels and made sure. The tubs are stained orange (rust) and should be replaced. They do not need to paint over it because it will not remedy this problem. The stopper that supposed to be attached to the tub was broken and revealed a chunk of hairball in the drain (meow). Shower curtains needed an upgrade as well, they were dingy. The closet doors were off the hinge and appeared they came from the 70s. The walls had cheap wallpaper that covered a shotty putty job (you can see it while laying down with just slight light coming from the window). A corner of the ceiling had a leak, and we could see the wet spot, looked like it just started when we for there. Luckily The beds were comfy, but the pillows and comforters were also old and raggedy. I honestly believe that this hotel could do a little better with the upgrades as it does look like a step down from Motel 6. This place does hosts events (wedding, parties, and conferences) so the parking lot is always packed with cars and no access. Also, the maintenance people do not come in the rooms to clean. That's a NO NO for me overall. I'm glad I carry cleaning supplies in the car because I cleaned every day that I was there so that we were sanitizing appropriately daily. The rooms had no microwaves and the one on the floor is NASTY as hell. Why maintenance do not clean them, is besides me. The Good: The staff there is pretty awesome and they put up with a lot of BS from people. I dealt with Lauren several times and she was such a sweetheart, a great personality for the front desk. We witnessed drunk individuals going off on the staff; one was mad that he lost his car... I kid you not, he lost his car in the parking lot. Lol you can't make this stuff up. Another was mad at the staff for an experience that she experienced the year before. Like how is that her fault. But in both these incidents, the staff remained calm, apologetic, and assisted them accordingly. The security I believed had a lot of the crap because he had to enforce the rules and people think that they are to entitle for the rules. FOLLOW it or LEAVE! They had a great number of places near to grab a bite or snack (can walk there) and they were close to Sesame Place (plus a deal). They have a laundry station in house, which is great. The rooms came with a refrigerator/ freezer combo. There was a restaurant in-house (did not visit) and a bar (bartender was friendly). The place comes with an in door and out door pool. I am only giving it a 3 star because they have potential and the staff was awesome as hell. I would only consider coming back if they renovate the place and hire more cleaning people. Other than that, I'll pay the extra to go somewhere else that I don't have to do all the extras for. read more

Don't stay here it's DISGUSTING!! Was in a wedding and stayed under a wedding block that was made months ago. They overbooked the hotel that weekend so staff were banging on multiple guests doors telling them they had to get out the day of the wedding and deactivated their room key cards. The rooms have a musty old smell, sheets were clearly not washed, the room had things left in it from the previous guests, the toilet was gurgling all night and two of the lamps broke and were stuck on so had to be unplugged. This hotel needs a serious renovation. The price for a room is also a bit steep for what kind of place you're walking into. read more

We stayed here for my daughter's wedding. The staff was wonderful. They were kind and patient! When we booked the hotel, it clearly says in the contract that the hotel is owned by the Chinese government. I just think the owners don't want to put any money into it and just don't care. Sadly, it is very outdated. The common areas, like elevators, were filthy. Our room was clean, but very outdated. I know a lot of families go here for the convenient location to Sesame Place. There was blood on the sheets,spider webs , hair in the tub. 2. Human feces in the tub, urine in the toilet and on the floor in the bathroom. 3. Weird stains in the bathtub, orange stain on the floor, brown stain on the bed. Oh and mold above the shower. I am so glad that we are never coming back to this place! read more

We stayed at this hotel Nov 3rd and 4th, and we left covered in bed bug bites!! Our doctor confirmed that the bites are from bed bugs. When we checked out of the hotel we informed the front desk about the bites, but when I called 3 days later to tell them the bites were confirmed to be bed bugs, the front desk person hung up on me. We booked two rooms 6 weeks in advance; check-in took over 30 minutes. We got our room keys and headed up, we unlocked out room and walked into a clearly occupied room with a couple in bed getting it on... (we ran into them later and they were understanding, having problems themselves). Room #2 key didn't work but Room #1's key worked in Room #2's door, we opened the door to another couple getting dressed, we apologized once again and went back to the lobby for an explanation. We asked the attendant that placed us in our rooms what was going on, she responded with "it's not my fault, I didn't do that", it took three times for her to grab someone from the back who confirmed that it WAS her fault for assigning an already occupied room. We didn't hear "I'm sorry, we'll make it right" until much much later. We get our new keys and head up. The remaining rooms were thankfully unoccupied. Room #3 seemed alright so we dropped off our stuff and went to the next room. Room #4 immediately smelled like smoke, like weed, someone hotboxed the bathroom and it wasn't properly cleaned. Back to the lobby we spoke with a manager who tried deflecting the issues, she gave us $25 off for that room for both nights. We get a new key and head up to Room #5, everything checked out. Meanwhile we get back to Room #3 and turned on the lights, two didn't work. The air conditioner had brown liquid spilled all over it, I went to find a plug by the bed and couldn't any so I pulled the mattress back and found one in the middle under the headboard, once I got that sorted I went to put the mattress back and found brown spots, they looked like bed bug marks or other... stains. Then I looked up and found mold creeping down from the ceiling, further over on the ceiling I saw sagging ceiling tiles, which were moist and dripping... We headed back down to the lobby and asked for another explanation. The manager from before (Jody) was nonplussed and offered to look at the room she was planning on assigning to us. As she headed up I noticed she was trying to hide a can of Febreze... She came back, hands me the key, and we head up to Room #6. As we open the door, the smell of Febreze, it's just overwhelming, we had to air out the room and it still smelled hours later. It took over three hours and six separate rooms from check-in to finally settle-in. We were given $25 off for both rooms for both nights and two breakfast buffet vouchers, which the buffet staff upped to three after asking why we had a party of three but two vouchers. I've stayed at some bad motels and hotels, but this was the worst experience any of us have ever been put through. My fiancé, Mother-in-law, and myself will never stay at this or any other Radisson, ever. We'll also be filing a complaint with the PA Department of Health. Throughout our stay, we overheard other guests complain about the following: Walking in on an occupied room (we heard this from two people at the desk), no towels, no soap, unclean room, and terrible service. Some general complaints: The pool was not clean first-thing in the morning, signs hung throughout the building were askew and missing parts of their frames, recessed lighting were missing lenses, the in-lobby bistro was not available despite staff and various signage stating otherwise, dust and cobwebs all along the hallways and ceilings, and the arcade bill changer (for tokens) was out of service. This hotel is awful. We stayed for 2 nights from a Sesame Place package. 1. It's far from the park. Stay at a place close to the Park and you can walk saving yourself the $20-25 per day parking costs. 2. There are literally families living there. It feels more like an apartment complex. 3. Our rooms wasn't cleaned AT ALL: night one we were in shock said something they came and brought us towels, acted annoyed. Asked if we left a do not disturb sign on the door?! No we didn't. Next night they left towels but cleaned nothing. Because we got our package to sesame place the manager there (who had himself all been working for three weeks), said he could give us " rewards points" for a future night stay. NO thanks! We decided to go through original package company to try to get a reduction for at least one of our nights. I've yet to hear back but will let you know when I do. RUN ‍ from this place. $$ over priced crappy continental breakfast that Most Hotels offer for free. The room itself was breaking down; closet door broken, paint chipping in bathroom, AC shitty. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. read more

Hotel built in the 1960's Brutalist architecture is retrofitted with modern conveniences but fails to maintain the basics of a nice hotel. After a 5 day business stay, these are my observations: Rooms are surface clean with only attention paid to clean bed linens, towels and a clean toilet. In room fridge was moderately clean. In room rug is old, dirty and un-vacuumed. In room desk was not wiped down and had dried-on food on top. Ceiling tiles were spray painted white where a leak had happened and been fixed. There were multiple colors and lengths of hairs stuck to the shower walls. There was a Cheerio in the corner of the bathroom that was there when I arrived and there when I left 5 days later even with daily room "cleaning". Cheap shower heads and water pressure in shower is terrible. I killed a roach on the wall on my second night. Fortunately I did not observe any bedbugs! The heat/air works ok. One pillow smelled a little like puke (gross). The common areas look old but are better maintained than my room and the pool smells VERY chlorinated. I didn't bother to use the arcade or the fitness room. Customer service is lukewarm. The buffet breakfast is way overpriced at $15 per person for scrambled eggs, cheap roasted potatoes (no omelet or waffle station) mushy precut fruit and 2 day old cut grapefruit that's visually dry and cheap continental danish. After breakfast I was not inclined to try the bar or their dinner. Grounds appear well maintained but this is less important to me than my room amenities. It doesn't seem like the managers bother to check the rooms regularly or care about quality otherwise these low standards wouldn't be allowed to happen. I would never choose to stay at another Raddison after staying at this one. read more

Good enough place to crash. My main complaint is that the the room smelled super smoky, which is crazy considering there is a $400 fee if you're caught smoking in the room. Also, the walls are paper thin and several conversations outside my door sounded like they were happening in the bathroom. Why do people argue in the hallway in the middle of the night? Then there's the bed height. Why is the bed so tall? Do they expect a 9 foot giant to use this bed? And then the bathroom sink and toilet are so low...who designed this room? Alice in Wonderland? Finally, the shower pressure is completely out of control! If you've ever wondered what it's like to stand in front of a firing squad, then get into the shower and find out. Ouch. One good thing is that the room has a small fridge and it's only 15 minutes from Sesame Place but I don't think I'll be back any time soon. read more

Out of town friends chose to stay at the Radisson Hotel Philadelphia Northeast for a few nights while visiting the area. I tried to tell them in advance that the hotel was not really in Philadelphia at all, but just beyond the city limits in Bucks County. I also described the neighborhood as groaty old Route 1, auto dealers, by the hour motels, and garish liquor stores. They didn't care. The price was right, and they wanted to shop in the surrounding malls. I went to see them there a couple of times. Parking was easy with a big lot. The building looked a bit dated, but still highly functional. Nice atrium in the lobby. Cool black and whites of historic buildings in Philly. A decent bar and free breakfast. Clean, comfortable rooms. Small bathrooms. They managed to eat at several interesting places within a short distance (Steve's Prince of Steaks, Andy's Diner, Mission BBQ, Starbucks, to name a few). They had nothing but good things to say about the place, other than they wished they had stayed in Center City, and could just put their horses in the stable and walk around town. The hotel maybe a 3.5 to 4, but with its restaurant, it boost to almost 5. There is nothing special about the hotel, it is a standard $120-160 level business hotel that you would be expecting. Room, bathroom, AC are all good. While the restaurant is exceptional, I have to write a separate review to praise the restaurant. read more

This used to be our default destination when we visited friends and family in the Philly, Bucks, Burlington, NJ area. We won't be back. Parking and check-in were the highlights of the stay. But, our room was dark and dreary. The carpet was stained. The bathroom shower stability bar was oddly placed and virtually useless. Checking out was a disaster. We searched in vain for a luggage cart as I am disabled and need the convenience. The desk half-heartedly informed us that they would look and let us know if they could not find any, otherwise, they would have one sent to our room. We had allowed an hour for the process to allow for us to be on time for a noon appointment. After 15 minutes we called the desk, and were told none were found. We asked for a bell man to assist us and were told one would be sent right up. 15 minutes and we began making several trips to load the car. As we passed the desk for the last time, we informed the desk that we wouldn't be needing the bell man any longer and we were met with blank stares that indicated they had no idea that there was even a request made. There are better hotels in the area. I urge you to consider them before making the mistake of staying here. read more

BED BUGS!! I debated for a while whether or not to make this review or to just let it be in hopes that the situation will be taken care of. But then I thought of a family like mine going with little ones and I decided to just write this. Upon inspection of the room when we first got there I noticed the room looked a bit dirty.... like they did nothing more than a quick cleaning when the people before us left. The shower looked dirty, the pillows smelled like dirty hair, and there were gross stains on the carpet. I was already grossed out but was trying to just deal with it. Thank God I am the way I am- spraying everything with Lysol before my family gets comfortable because when I lifted the sheets to spray i found BED BUGS. I immediately went down to the front desk and asked for a refund. At first the person at the desk suggested putting me in a different room and when I refused to even stay there they said I can't get a refund right away since I booked the trip with sesame place. A supervisor then came to speak with me and was extremely nice and seemed to understand how grossed out and upset I was. If the sheets were changed I can't imagine how the cleaning person wouldn't see the bugs which just proves that they didn't change them after the last guest left. Horrible experience. I was staying here for my wedding and had a wedding block from the recommendation of my vendor. For the minute we started the block we had problems and many guests from the wedding called us to complain. Then when we arrived it still went downhill. I was given the key to my one bedroom suite and when I walked in the bedroom was locked and I had no access to it. When I went downstairs to get a key to the bedroom part of the room it took them 30 minutes to understand what I was asking and tried saying my one bedroom suite didn't have a bed. My whole bridal party and guest STILL has issues when checking in. Our pull out bed was FILTHY. When we asked for separate sheets and pillows and blankets to make the pull out bed and because the state it was in it took housekeeping 35 minutes to come up with a singular sheet, a think blanket (no comforter) and 3 towels. We made beautiful welcome bags for our guests to turn out on about 6 of them got them....they even tried telling the best man that he doesn't get one and my now husband had to go downstairs and say he needs to get them. Turns out they were giving out guests the wrong bags!! There were nothing but problems, I could go on and on. My bridal suite losing power several times, when asking rooms to be made up it never getting done, the bar closing early even thought we had multiple guest there, and the hotel breakfast not communicating timing with our guests. Overall I would never recommend staying here, especially when you are trying to make the days before your wedding run smoothly because it is nothing but problems. read more
