They ran out of parking spots late at night so parked along the fence hoping I wouldn't get towed, which I didn't. Decent, great parking, convenient location. I would stay here again. Pet friendly, although there is a $25 fee, so I hope they actually do more thorough cleaning as a result. Price for the night is otherwise reasonable. Our room was clean, climate control worked fine, internet was fine. Did not try the free breakfast, so I cannot comment, but it's nice they offer it. Management should inspect their rooms more often, however, such as at baseboards and ceilings. It's the little things that can reduce a good impression. So....I had made reservations with Hampton Inn for Thursday - Sunday. 30 minutes before my arrival at 10pm, after driving 8 hours, I get a call from Hilton that they're full. They said, "We had more walk-ins than expected" and that I had to find a new place to stay. Mind you, it's 10pm. It's nearly impossible to find a place. I drove around and finally checked in just after midnight. 20 minutes further than I needed to be. This is just like Southwest airlines. What kind of BS is this? If I was a no show, I guarantee that they would have charged me a night. Has anyone sought legal advice for something like this? Not only was the night rediculous, but I stay 20miles further and now have to commute further everyday. Overbooking....apparently this is common practice. I don't get that if I have a reservation they would give it out to a walk in? Why wouldn't they call to ask if I was coming rather than give my room out and tell me to figure it out? For once in a long while our sleep was not disturbed when staying at a hotel. The housekeeping staff could have done a better job at cleaning, but in their defense they were short handed and the hair dryer didn't work. Overall, the place served its purpose and was close to amenities, but you could hear the interstate traffic. read more

This hotel was convenient to a job site where my husband had a meeting and its just off the interstate. The area appeared safe. Check in was easy, front desk clerk was very nice. Though the lobby had more modern furnishings you can definitely tell its an older hotel. Arrived at our room and found it very spacious. Again, older hotel. Obvious wear and tear but bed was decent. Internet was in & out a lot during our 2 day stay. Woke up the next morning to cold showers but they remedied the issue fairly quickly. Things like that do happen. Came back that evening to people on our floor slamming doors repeatedly and rambunctious kids in the pool just below us. Can't blame anyone for that. The kids were having a great time playing Marco Polo & probably needed some outdoor time after traveling. If you're looking for a place to lay your head you should be fine there. read more

Fantastic stay for the one night I was here! Staff was so nice and accommodating and they honored my request for the highest floor away from elevator so I had a very quiet night's sleep! I loved this hotel. I've stayed at all types of hotels and all price ranges- so for traveling, this is the best hotel. I usually stay at Hampton Inn when traveling, but it was not available. This hotel was about $40 cheaper than the Hampton Inn after my military/veterans discount. The room was very clean and cozy. I actually thought the beds were much more comfortable, and the bathroom was cleaner. The soaps and lotions were a better quality. The employees were very friendly, and the breakfast was much better than the Hampton Inn. I will try and stay at a Sleep Inn from not on when traveling thru the states. :) read more

I am a CHOICE HOTELS PLATINUM MEMBER, and reserved a room on a Friday night following a concert in Tampa. We were going to rest that evening, and drive to the N.C. mountains the next day...breaking up a 12 hour trip. We got up for work at 5 am that day, drove straight to Tampa for the concert afterwards, enjoyed the concert, and were looking forward to a few hours rest before heading to N.C. On the way to Tampa, I got an email asking, "HOW WAS YOUR STAY"? I called and realized they had me checking in the day before and checking out the ACTUAL DAY we were to arrive! When I call, an employee told me to call the Manager after 9 am for "a refund". I called back and spoke to another female who said, "SHE IS NEW AND SHOULD HAVE NOT PROMISED A REFUND...IT WAS CHARGED TO YOUR CREDIT CARD AS A NO-SHOW! CALL ME LATER--THE MANAGER IS AT ANOTHER LOCATION, AND I'LL HAVE TO HAVE THE SUPERVISOR'S APPROVAL TO REFUND YOUR CARD. WE HAVE NO ROOMS AVAILABLE--THERE IS A CAR SHOW IN TOWN...GO TO JACKSONVILLE." I explained I need that refund...I'm on a small, disability income and save all year for a vacation! I called back several hours later, she answered and said she hadn't spoken to the Supervisor yet. I explained I needed the funds replaced before 5 pm--the end of the business day. She said she would CALL ME BACK as soon as she spoke to her! I got NO CALL BACK...NO ROOM FOR THE NIGHT...NO REFYND TO MY CREDIT CARD!!! THEREFORE, we had to drive straight from the concert to the mountains-32 hours up with no rest or sleep! When the female answered from the night shift and said we were charged 1 day before, she stated, "YOU SHOULD SLEEP IN YOUR CAR AT THE REST STOP FOR FREE!" I explained I was disabled, could NOT sleep sitting up and needed a breathing machine when I slept, so that was NOT an option...I NEED MY CARD REFUNDED, AND A ROOM! I am quite disappointed the Day-Shift employee never called me back. I'm not sure she EVER spoke to the Supervisor, explained my situation, and requested a refund! I've gotten to a point in my life where I spend a lot of time on the road for work and frequent hotels due to this. I am truly impressed with this hotel. The rooms smell and look clean unlike some other places that I have been to. The staff is friendly and willing to help you with anything inside the hotel to finding things to do in the local area. The amenities are well laid out and plentiful. The breakfast is pretty good. I've seen others where breakfast was a waffle and/or toast with OJ. They have a good variety for breakfast here and for me on the move, I genuinely appreciate the effort. If I'm in the area again, I will definitely be staying here. read more

Stayed here for the Billetproof 2015 car show as it is right next to where it is held. Super clean hotel and friendly staff. The rooms are nice featuring two beds, a mini fridge, desk, television, and a large shower (my favorite). Staff is friendly and kind enough to give you any toiletries that you might have forgotten at the front desk. My only complaint is that the continental breakfast starts and ends very early. 6-10am. It should go till at least 11 because people like me that are on vacation are going to get up as soon as its over! read more

Man, Choice Hotels has come a long way in the last decade. Stayed at this hotel on my way through in I-75. Super clean, price was comparable to other mid to high end hotels ($100 or so). Was planning to stay in Gainesville but everywhere was booked...my luck to be driving through during parents weekend at FSU. 20 minutes further south I find this gem. Clean room, hot breakfast, friendly service. One note, if you are sensitive to noise, may want to ask for a room on the end away from the highway...I was near it and heard the noise but I tend to not be bothered by it. read more

I stumbled across this hotel by accident. I was driving from Miami with family and was tired and pulled off the interstate when I couldn't go any further. Judging by the parking lot I was afraid we wouldn't be able to get the two rooms we would need. However, I was surprised when Natalie(a very sweet and efficient lady) told me she had two rooms that actually joined each other. The rooms WERE GORGEOUS! Comfortable beds, nice clean rooms, cable television (although I was too tired to watch it), A HUMIDIFIER IN THE ROOM, and free WiFi! That wasn't the best part though. After a WONDERFUL sleep we went to breakfast and was basically served breakfast because Miss Annie and Miss Cindy were very efficient at keeping up with the steady flow of hungry people. I will DEFINITELY keep this hotel as my go to EVERY TIME I visit Ocala or any of the surrounding areas. read more

I booked a room at sleep inn & suites Ocala-Belleview. My room number was 207. The night was booked for a one night stay for 10/26/18-10/27/18. I arrived at hotel check in around 8:00pm on 10/26/18. Went to the room I was given to make sure key works and adjust a/c temps then stepped right back out to report to my patrol captain at his location of where he was staying. I returned back to the hotel around 10:30p. Watched a bit of tv and then fell asleep. Around 1:45am I checked out after a gross discovery. My reason for checking out was that while walking my room just a bit ago for a quick bathroom break I came across cockroaches climb in the walls on the vanity and sink and on the door jams. Afterwords I was checking around bad self for a more cockroaches and I noticed that the mattress has a special Cover over it or basically concealing it which is a cover special for bedbugs examining to cover a little more I noticed there are a couple of black spots that gives some kind of sign of traces of bedbugs so with those two findings I checked out. I am still being billed for the room as of this time And have already had it paid in full. My next thought now for action was to find somewhere to sleep in my vehicle for the night. I do have pictures and video of what i found. Upon check out t that early in the morning I did speak to the front desk clerk. All she could do was apologize. She did not comp for the room. Nor refund for the room. She just gave me a reciept that the room was paid for through my credit card. I would not have stayed anyhow due to the findings. But it was an unprofessional way of handling the consumer. I do not recommend this hotel. So gross. Be aware of bedbugs and cockroaches. They may hitchhike a ride in your personals. read more

Really nice hotel, must have gone through a recent remodel. New paint, beds, TVs, carpet. Hotel staff wss very friendly and always welcoming when we entered or left the hotel. We were staying as a group for a baseball tournament and felt very at home. Breakfast was OK, typical eggs, waffles, cereal, muffins and donuts. Overall, we were very pleased with our stay at this hotel and would, in all probability, stay here again in the future. My only disappointment was that the room's cable service did not include AMC, which meant that I missed the Nov. 5 airing of my all time favorite television show--"The Walking Dead". :( But no worries, my wife had set our DVR and I watched the Nov. 5 episode after we returned to Raleigh. :). As far as service goes, this hotel certainly delivers. Their staff is incredible, especially Annie who works the breakfast room. We found it conveniently located near everything that we needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful, even locating things that we needed but had forgotten (such as a corkscrew). We were heading through town and just needed a good night sleep. Booked online and couldn't believe there was a 4 star rating for under $100 a night. Every bit of the staff was exceptionally nice and helpful. Continental breakfast was nearly the best spread I've seen (for a continental). Biscuits and sausage gravy, eggs, sausage, waffles and much more. The ladies were cleaning the breakfast area constantly. Beds were very comfy and rooms were quite clean. Did find one hair in sink (don't like hair) but since it was in the sink it didn't bother me too bad.
