I had a pleasant stay here. We booked quite some time ago when we were planning our manatee trip. We got lucky because they hadn't upped the prices for the festival yet. I also used my honors points to get 2 of 3 nights for free. They let us check in a little early when we arrived, so I appreciated that. The room was clean and comfortable. They provide free breakfast in the morning, but we never made it to that. Every evening they put out hot fresh cookies. I thought that was a cute touch. They had Lysol wipes throughout the hotel. Great place to get away very clean and convenient most people will like it I loved it a lot

We stayed at Hampton Inn Crystal River before an early morning trip to swim with manatees. There was construction on the road in front of the hotel and because it was dark when we arrived I missed the turn in the first time but was able to turn around and found the entrance on the second time. Check in was quick and the staff was friendly. We noticed immediately upon entering that the hotel was very clean. We headed to the elevator and to our room. We got a room with 2 queens and it was clean and comfortable and there was enough room for the 4 of us. Because we were only staying overnight we didn't bring too much. IMO the bathroom can make or break a hotel room. I was happy to see that it was extremely clean. The beds, bedding, and pillows were all comfortable. We didn't eat the complimentary breakfast in the morning as we'd packed breakfast bars so we could eat on the go. We did have coffee, lol and it was freshly brewed and hot! Bottom Line; If you're looking for a hotel close to the manatee trips, this is a great option. read more

Great, comfortable hotel when visiting Crystal River. We had a King Suite which was quite spacious and nicely appointed. Sofa, upholstered chair, huge desk/work station, TV, two large windows, 5 lamps, bar area with mini fridge, microwave and sink. Our room was number 423. Near end of hall and towards back of building. Very quiet room. No road noise. Breakfast buffet is closed. Breakfast is available for morning pickup and includes a breakfast sandwich, granola bar and orange juice. Booked TWO rooms at this hotel directly via the Hilton website. Was informed at check in that one of the rooms had been mysteriously "cancelled." To make matters worse, they had no more rooms available! Wound up getting absolutely no sleep after an 18+ hr day on the road. This property is run so efficiently and professionally. The hotel is so clean and provides a hot and cold breakfast for its guests. Coffee, tea and hot cocoa are available all day. The pool Area is clean and is maintained properly. Hotel is close to numerous restaurants and only about 10 Minutes from a white sandy beach. I recommend this hotel and I especially want to mention Savannah at the front desk. She is kind, patient and always smiling. All the staff and owner are readily available to answer any questions and help in any way they can. Miss Vickie asked if I'd be there tomorrow "...because I go right past the Walmart on my way to work. Recommended but room for improvement. Good basic accommodations, but pricey for this type room during scallop season of course. There is road construction everywhere around the hotel at present-that is not their fault but it made getting in and out of the parking lot a little dangerouse, and a hassle. The hotel could use a little updating. The inside hallways/corridors were always hot. The TV in the room was very small as compared to most hotels these days. We used the pool area a few times, and it was pretty nice, but there were only 3 loungers and no umbrellas for shade. The hotel was fine in every way but the standout was the breakfast. There was obvious design thought put into the containers holding sugar and oatmeal fixings. Even the coffee cups had cute holders. I only enjoyed oatmeal, but my friends had waffles, bacon and potatoes I wish I'd tried. It was all at least add good as at nearby restaurants. Even the fruit was ripe. Sadly have to deduct two full stars for a housecleaning incident. Before we leave hotel rooms for the day, we take pictures of our luggage to determine if our bags have been compromised. Well, my suitcase was rummaged through by the cleaning staff and this does not sit well with us as you can imagine. Funny thing, we used to stay at the Crystal River Holiday Inn until the same thing occurred a couple years back! Must be this area as we travel the world and this is only the third time it has happened, twice in the same area. Other than that.....everything was four stars. Book this hotel for 10/15/21. 1room for a family of 3. Once I saw that it was cheaper on another site, I canceled first one and booked the cheaper one. Got to hotel, checked in. Desk clerk said NOTHING about two reservations. If he had I still would been able to re-cancel the first one. Instead he was a Jerk, Rude and very UNHELPFUL. Regardless I would have taken two room instead of having to share a bed. Now this hotel has charged me twice. When I called asking for a refund they refused. Stating fees involved with site I booked with. Fine, I get that but how much would it be. They got 149.00 & 179.00 from me. Shame on them read more

This is a brand-new hotel; when I was checking in they were literally getting the art on the walls. A few things really held the place back though. The first was that I had to get my room keys rekeyed twice; they have RFID chips in them, which apparently can't handle being around laptops or cell phones. So you get to tap the key on the door rather than slide it into the lock, but sliding the key into the lock wasn't really a big problem for me. Tramping around the hotel to get keys reprogrammed twice is. The second problem is that the hotel is on a divided highway with no entrance/exit from the opposite lane, so every time you drive to and from the hotel you need to make a big U-turn across two lanes of high-speed traffic. It's not so great. Other than that the place was fine; decent breakfast, clean rooms, new furniture etc. read more

Pros: - Room & bathroom: clean! smelled nice. recently remodeled. sheets, towels - all clean and nice. -carpets and elevators - all clean and nice. prob recently remodeled. - it was quiet, we didn't hear our neighbors, though hotel wasn't empty - so we did have neighbors. - SERVICE: wonderful! we had one sheet with a little whole, so they gave us 2 sheets brand new and apologized 10times. we had to leave at 5am for a meeting and they gave us "ready-go" breakfast. My husband and I like staying at the Hampton chain and this hotel did not disappoint. We came to Crystal River to scuba dive and the location of the hotel was less than five minutes from the dive shop. The staff were courteous and I would like to say a special shout out to Cody M. and Chelsea (?) (She worked the evening shift on December 15th). Both worked with our manatee snorkel times and gave us a later check out at no charge so we could shower before leaving for the airport, which I really appreciated. The housekeeper was very accommodating, especially with all our scuba gear spread out around the hotel room. The breakfast was good, and had a large variety of options every morning. Beautiful clean room and excellent service! Loved the free breakfast in the morning and the kids had a blast in the pool. Pretty standard fare for breakfast - eggs, waffles, sausage, cereal, muffins etc. The pool is your standard rectangular pool. I loved the decor! Very chic. No complaints about the room whatsoever - exactly what I'd expect from a Hampton Inn. Close to everything - manatees, state parks, restaurants, everything. My only complaint is that there isn't room service and one night I was dying for something sweet. So I loaded the kids up and we headed to Dairy Queen down the road. No biggie! This is one of the nicer Hampton Inns I've stayed at. It's new and is extremely clean. The staff is super friendly. I have to mention Todd who is the breakfast chef. He is super friendly and goes way out of his way to greet everyone and make certain everybody is happy. Be sure to say hello to Todd. Also try and get a King suite room. The customer service was amazing. Vickie prepared breakfast every morning with a smile and happiness.. She went out of her way to give us food when we had to leave at 05:30am. The room was very clean and the hotel was very quiet. Front desk staff helped out with reducing my rate to be the same as my friends traveling with me. They listen to me and without any hesitation gave me the same daily rate, which saved me about $18/night. Highly recommend people to stay here. read more

Amazing!!! We booked an overnight stay for a tour we had in the a.m. The staff were so nice and the room was clean and fairly new. They even called me the day after I checked out to see how my stay was. We arrived late and there wasn't a problem. They offered us freshly made cookies and coffee/tea/hot chocolate. The breakfast looked and smelled amazing but unfortunately we had to get to an early 6:30 am tour with the manatees so we couldn't eat. They did offer us a to-go breakfast bag! Really nice stay. Overall, a great stay. I would recommend and would stay here again when in the area. However, there are a couple of things. First of all, the pool is nothing to get excited over. It's small and poorly located, unless you like being on display in front of all of the guests. But, that's not as big a deterrent for enjoyment as the fact that there is no hot tub to warm up in, so unless the weather is absolutely perfect, you will be cold. Also, there is no place to shower, change or duck into to dry off and get dressed, therefore you will be cold and dripping water all the way back to your room, should you decide to go in. A pool designed more for looking at than swimming in. There are other hotels in the area with better outdoor amenities, although the rooms may not be as nice and new. However, the gym was nice. Every one on staff seemed great until the last day. I was told that if I was running behind I could call the front desk for late check out, no problem. Which was true. But, when I took my first round of luggage down to the car at 10 minutes after, then went back for my last bag, the door was locked and I had to go back to the front desk for help. I received a small amount of attitude and a firm, "that's because it's after 11" response. Ok, thanks. I don't need help with the time, but I could have used help with my bags. I am traveling alone with an injury to my shoulder, thank you for your concern, though. Also, everyone seemed noticeably more uptight around this woman, whoever she was. The only time I saw her and the only one who was anything but incredibly nice. So, overall, I recommend, but don't go for the pool and try to leave before check out if you want to go with a smile. read more

Delicious hot breakfast every day, wonderful staff, the housekeepers even left a chocolate on my bed with a "sweet dreams" note. Fitness center is way better than most hotels and the pool was perfect. Look closely for it if driving north on 19, the sign is small and sits back off the road. I passed it up twice! read more
