I was in town this past weekend for a family event. I was thankful to find an inexpensive and convenient hotel for the event. So let me walk you through my experience... I walked through the main entrance and the smell similar to a clogged toilet in the lobby almost took my breath. I walked down to my room (209) and hoped for the best when I opened the door. Unfortunately, I walked into a stuffy heat box. I looked down at the carpet and the carpet was disgusting (Picture attached). I turned the air on to help with the circulation and checked the rest of the room for anything alarming. When I walked into the bathroom, there was still URINE left in the toilet from a previous guest or housekeeping. The shower was nasty and rusty around the faucet ( Picture attached), That evening I went to take a shower and a ROACH ran from behind the toilet. The next morning my brother went to shower and when he turned on the shower TWO ROACHES ran from the inside of the knob. The remote looked like it had never seen a Lysol wipe ( picture attached) and wallpaper was coming off of the walls. During check out, I informed the manager about my room, as well as another family member who stayed down the hall from me (3 ROACHES, Gum on the floor, etc... in their room). He claimed to be surprised about the infestation, but there is no way previous guests didn't bring this issue to his attention. This hotel was completely booked, with not enough parking for guests, both nights of my stay I had to park at the store. I will not be rebooking at this Hotel!

I'm here....calling around to find a different hotel. This place is horrible!!!! It is a germ/mold hotel!!! The woman at the front desk is the only and I mean only good thing here! I understand it is an older hotel and that is not the problem. It is the dirt and grime!! Gross! I checked out at 8:30 this morning. I left major complaints at the front desk and my phone number for the manager to call me and or refund my $$$$! It is after 4pm and still I have not heard from anyone and I do not have a refund from last night. If you book this place be prepared to battle black mold and possibly bed bugs all night!!!

Disgusting. I wasn't told I was getting a smoking room in the smoking floor. Don't get a room on the first level. As soon as you get off the elevator it reeks of smoke. Curious stains on the bed. Marks and stains on the walls. No shower curtain in the room. 1 Star is too many. Blankets and pillows smell like smoke. I kept my clothes in my truck, and only brought it what I needed for that day and I showered and left right away so hopefully they didn't smell like smoke. You would get a better nights sleep in your car and feel cleaner the next day.

    Tub needs some help.

We normally stay in Marriott hotels - average 50 nights a year, but this was the closest we could find Thanksgiving weekend. Absolutely no evidence of bugs or other critters! Clean floors, bathroom, etc... I was pleasantly surprised how warm the room was (28 degrees outside) Only negative that needs your attention: road noise is amplified on the rooms - if you're a light sleeper, you'll need ear plugs. It's obviously an older motel... but not a bad place to stay

On September 22, 2025, I checked into Executive Inn & Suites. I chose this motel because I had…read morepreviously stayed there around 2014-2015 and had a positive experience. At that time, the husband-and-wife owners worked in the office, and I had no complaints. My intention was to stay only a few weeks while searching for a new home. Unfortunately, the demands of working as a hairstylist, Uber driver, and Shipt shopper made it difficult to dedicate the time needed to continue my housing search. As a result, my stay unexpectedly extended to seven months. During that time, I experienced harassment and behavior that made me feel unsafe. I was called a racial slur ("nigga") by another guest who appeared to be under the influence of drugs and was later arrested at the property for reasons unknown to me. On another occasion, a male guest placed an orange traffic cone in front of my vehicle and claimed the parking space as his own. Despite my complaints, management allowed him and never addressed the issue. I also endured repeated door slamming, loud conversations, and loud music at all hours of the day and night from the male guest to the left of me. He doesn't work and all he does is go in/out his room, slam the door and sit in his dad's vehicle and smoke weed. I made multiple complaints to PS, but my concerns were ignored and not taken seriously. This same guest made multiple threats towards me and even my deceased mother, resulting in police involvement. The situation became so serious that I sought and obtained a protective order. I informed management of the threats and protective order, but they were dismissive and showed little concern. Instead, I was labeled a troublemaker. The most serious incident occurred when I reported that I had been sexually assaulted by PS on October 30, when he entered my room to inspect my refrigerator. Following that incident, he continued to pursue me and make sexual advances. To keep me silent and not tell anyone - in particular his boss. He reduced my weekly rate to $565 per week. What was most disturbing, however, was the response from the owner's son when I reported the alleged assault. Rather than treating the matter with the seriousness I expected, he laughed. Shortly afterward, I was told to leave the property, and the police were called with allegations that portrayed me as the aggressor. I, immediately asked for a refund as I was paid up until May 2. As a guest seeking assistance and support, I found this response deeply upsetting, concerning, and unacceptable. What was supposed to be a temporary stay of a few weeks turned into 7 months, which a few months were miserable due to the harassment, bullying and the sexual assault. The decision to allow PS to continue working at the property and the male guest who I placed a protective order against for the threats while asking me to leave without warning raises serious concerns about how management handles guest safety and misconduct complaints. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this property. Guests deserve to feel safe, respected, and confident that serious complaints will be handled appropriately. But asking me to leave the property may have been the best decision for my safety.

The hotel is older and claimed to have renovated their rooms, so we were convinced this would be a good spot. Let's start with the pros: There is a bunch of parking our front. The staff was friendly. The restaurant in lobby was good, and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. Shoutout to the bartender David for his excellent service & kindness. The hotel is located across the street from Woodmore Towncenter, so you have gas stations, restaurants, and shopping nearby. Some room for improvement: The room we were initially given was absolutely horrendous. It looked nothing like the photos we saw when we booked the room. There were lady bugs, stink bugs, and I saw a spider in the room. The furniture was archaic & not what I expected. The TV was hanging off of the frame. I felt myself looking around the room fearful that a bug was going to suspend from the ceiling, fall on me and start crawling. After one night, my husband requested a new room, and thank goodness they gave us a freshly renovated room. The room was still a little dated, but it just felt clean and comfortable. I was able to enjoy my stay after the switch. For context, I posted photos of the new room they gave us. The elevator is extremely slow, so I hope they are working on fixing that. If we didnt have the mishap with the first room, (for the price) I would give our stay a 4/5.

My room was just old and had so many issues and I ended up having to literally get on my hands and knees to clean .. no exaggeration! From the couch which had dust mites to the bathroom and overall upkeep of the room I was super disappointed. I've worked at Marriott so I know the standard and I always stay at residence inns which are my fav hotels. The staff tried to accommodate me and switch rooms but the other room wasn't any better and I was already settled into my room and it was late when I returned from running errands. I always stay at this property several times before and other Residence Inns and this was by far the worst as far as cleanliness goes. Again stay was amazing and super helpful. I stayed 3 nights and received 20,000 points for this issue which doesn't even equate to a full nights stay at this property. Super disappointed and won't be returning here. The pictures explain it all! The only reason they are getting 3 starts is because of the wonderful staff!

Residence Inn by Marriott Upper Marlboro Joint Base Andrews…read moreMy stay at this hotel was pleasant in terms of the room and comfort; however, the front desk experience and billing issue were extremely concerning and overshadowed the entire stay. Upon arrival, no staff was present at the front desk. When someone finally appeared, they failed to follow standard check-in procedures, including not requesting a credit card for incidentals, which is customary at Marriott properties. After three days, at the time of checkout, I was suddenly stopped by staff and treated as though I had done something wrong, despite the oversight being entirely on their end. I was then asked to place my card on hold for incidentals on the day of checkout, rather than at check-in. Weeks later, I discovered that $596.81 was charged to my card, even though the entire stay had already been paid for using Marriott points. This charge was not authorized as a room payment and was never clearly explained. As a result, I am now disputing the charge with my bank, and the process has taken weeks to resolve. While the physical stay itself was nice, the lack of professionalism, poor front desk management, and unresolved billing practices are unacceptable. Being treated like a criminal for an internal staff error, followed by an unexplained charge, has completely damaged my trust in this location. I strongly recommend that management review staff training, check-in protocols, and billing controls to prevent this from happening to future guests. This hotels charged me for the entire stay which is very disturbing to the highest extent. When I called the representative at the front said, "Nothing was taken out and I needed to call my bank." One star is way too generous.

From the moment we arrived, her demeanor was cold, hostile, and incredibly unwelcoming. She repeatedly gave my family unfriendly, glaring looks that made us uncomfortable, to the point that we just wanted to leave the hotel. Her attitude only worsened the situation. She was consistently rude, dismissive, and unprofessional in every interaction. To make matters worse, we were overcharged by her, and it did not feel like an honest mistake. The only reason it was corrected is because I caught it and confronted her directly. Had I not said anything, I strongly believe the issue would have gone unresolved. Because of Joyce's behavior, what should have been a comfortable stay turned into a tense and unpleasant experience for my entire family. Guests should feel welcomed, respected, and valued, especially by front desk staff, who represent the first impression of the business. Unfortunately, Joyce's manner was the exact opposite. We felt dismissed, disrespected, and completely unwelcome throughout our stay. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this hotel. If you're looking for a more professional and welcoming environment, I strongly suggest considering nearby options like DoubleTree by Hilton, Homewood Suites by Hilton, or WoodSpring Suites instead. Management should take feedback seriously and address it immediately, as this level of treatment is unacceptable and reflects very poorly on this establishment.

I knew the room I was going to be assigned to would be in a section that they only use for those traveling with pets but the hallway smelled like cat litter. It was pretty unpleasant. Thankfully the actual room did not smell like this. They ask you to keep the 'do not disturb' sign on your door at all times so housekeeping does not try to come in when your pet is present. However, I did not see any other do not disturb signs on any of the nearby rooms in that hallway so I assumed there weren't any other pets present and that the smell was lingering or embedded in the carpets/walls/etc. The room was fairly average. We stayed for 2 nights and took advantage of the free breakfast from 6-10am daily. They offered the typical eggs, a meat option, starch, cereal, oatmeal, muffins/bagels, and also had two waffle makers. The attendant was prompt to refill items which was good. It was not crowded in the hotel on either of the days and there was an adequate amount of parking. I would say that the grass was very overgrown/not kept up with. I only noticed this when taking my dog out to use the bathroom because the grass was as tall as she was. Also, the poop bag stations were empty. Overall this location had what I needed for a quick trip with my dog but I would probably look for a different hotel if I had to travel in this area again with my dog.
