This was a great place to stay -- plenty of parking, friendly staff, a gym, a pool and hot tub, and complimentary breakfast. It covered all my bases. The rooms were spacious, clean, and quiet. It was nice going to the pool when it was empty, but that's just on luck. I've seen a couple hotels with closed hot tubs, so it was nice to see one working and nice and hot. The only downside I'd say was breakfast was decent but not great. It's what one would expect from a hotel though. It was also crowded, so had to dart around others quite a bit. I stayed 2 nights, and on request they do housecleaning between which was nice to have the option. Rates were also a decent price. It was a good place to stay.

Stayed for one night in route back to DC and was upgraded to a suite with a spa tub. Mid day mobile check in was convenient and the hotel is located nearby retail and restaurants. The suite was remodeled and had separate living room & desk, large walk in closet and was tastefully renovated. The spa tub came in handy and was located just off the bedroom and the room also included a mini frig, microwave coffee machine and wet bar. Self serve full Breakfast was included in the stay and was convenient. The room rate was reasonable with my Automobile Club discount, entire staff was friendly and worked out nicely for a day of sightseeing in Annapolis. I would stay here again and recommend this Springhill Suites for business or pleasure.

The hotel crew are polite and bend over backwards to take care of you. We were staying as a party of eight and needed two adjoining rooms. The person we spoke to when we booked the room was great but someone they didn't give us adjoining rooms. The front desk gentleman was great at hooking things up to make it right. The rooms were fresh smelling and clean. PAUL MITCHELL hair products in bathroom. Phone by the toilet, just in case you run out of toilet paper. Don't smoke in elevator or there is a 25 dollar fine. The FREE breakfast was great everything our kids wanted. We will stay again.

My room! Love the lighting!

Hotel is modern, luxurious looking. .75 miles to downtown, waterfront Annapolis. 2 hours, 15 minutes to Ocean City, MD. Room: Spacious with a little couch. Refrigerator and coffeemaker with Starbucks coffee filter packs. Microwave near the ice machine. Luxurious White tea smelling bath products which reminded me of the Bulgari bath products we used to get in Celebrity suites. I took the soap which lasted me a week and still looks good - non-drying. One bottle of complementary water. Amenities: - Indoor pool and hot tub (felt hot). Nice gym - Stunning circular bar and fireplace. Drinks were pricy. - Shuttle to downtown can be picked up outside the hotel and to the right. Runs every 20 minutes on the hour. - Restaurants on-site but we went across the street to Carpaccio Tuscan Kitchen & Wine Bar which was fantastic - make reservations. Things to Note: - City garage for parking and you will need to pay by scanning the QR code with your phone to start the timer for your car (remember your license number). It took several tries to connect to the website and get it to work. When you leave, you just drive out and it recognizes your car. - Our room had a connecting door. I could hear the parents and child's talking while I were in the bathroom. This is a beautiful, comfortable hotel, and I would stay here again to visit Annapolis or on my way to Ocean City.

We completed the Pre-Check in on the Hilton App (Gold Member) it allows us to select rooms and run your credit card thru. Then sends a digital key.. we hand selected 2 rooms. What went wrong: We arrived and the front desk clerk seemed bothered that we approached him. Told him I completed the digital check in and wanted a physical key for the second room (my father's 80, and wanted a physical key) he asked me for ID.. then asked for the credit card.. no problem. Then he asked me to swipe my credit card, which I informed him. I've already done the check in, just needed a key. He said I have to swipe the card.. I obliged.. he does the same for the second room. This whole time im challenging him bc this doesn't sound right. During this time, I notice 4 charges for the room come thru on my banks digital app.. weird but he insisted nothing to worry about they will drop off.. As a gold member you usually get a credit for the gift shop or credit towards breakfast.. nothing was said or no sort of welcome to the hotel.. just awful customer service Now the fun part, I get to my room. And I pull up my Hilton app.. I notice a TOTAL OF 4 rooms checked in... when I only booked two.. I call the front desk.. this doesn't seem right.. I also notice 4x the amount of money for room charged to my card.. over 1300 taken out of my account.. didn't seem right I go downstairs, composed but frustrated.. he explains that HE MADE A MISTAKE and will fix it.. keep in mind the 2 rooms I never got.. then he asked if I knew another guest with my same last name. Which I said I do not.. This made me worried and stressed during my stay due to him checking in extra rooms under my name.. Again, someone who travels for work and stays at hotels all over.. this was one of the worst customer experiences..from the unwelcome check in, to the over charges to asking me if I knew someone else staying there.. nobody ever called to apologize or said sorry. The only thing the front desk agent did was have the charges reversed quickly.. If you are staying in Annapolis spend a few more dollars and go elsewhere..

The historic aspects of the Inn are outstanding. The cleanliness is on point. Until my last visit, I would have sworn I'd stay there every opportunity I had. The only consistent complaint I have in all four visits was the AC either stopped working completely (requiring multiple engineer visits but the plus was complimentary wine) or was near broken and not cooling predictably. Other than that, this place was like my dream home away from home. However, there has been a significant drop in service by the front desk and reservation staff starting in fall of 2025 which has accelerated in spring of 2026. Over a four night stay in May, three mornings there was either no sugar, cream or coffee available during reasonable coffee times (7:30am) and I had to go to the desk to request restock. Also, someone reported to the front desk that a large roach was in the men's lobby restroom sink...the women at the front desk (also day shift) laughed and said they weren't dealing with it. These same employees made fun of some visitors who accidentally came to the wrong business by mimicking them after they left. I've received a few emails promoting an incentive for a return visit, but it has "?errors" all over it even when I open in different browsers. When I call about what it entails, I am told they don't know. And that's if I can get them to answer the phone. I've tried emailing and have received no reply after more than a week. Regretfully, I've booked another Inn for my next visit...I truly enjoyed most of my stays at the Governor Calvert House, but I don't like the direction its service has headed and it's too much money to spend for poor service. THIS DOESN'T APPLY TO HOUSEKEEPING OR THE NIGHT SHIFT EMPLOYEES-they continued to be outstanding.

The lobby rooms, while distinguished and unique, are actually quite small. However , the room with the glass bottom was extraordinary showing the original floor. The reservation process was awkward and non-informative and required three calls to get it right. The personnel were certainly polite, but they weren't knowledgeable about which of the hotels had an elevator, and which were more easily accessible for someone with a disability. In fact, one picture shows steps in front, but nobody seemed to know that you could walk around the steps to get into the hotel and that there was an elevator. The front desk was very polite and friendly. However, we reported a few things which weren't attended in a timely manner. The toilet was stopped up and we asked somebody to fix it before we returned but upon our return after an hour and a half it wasn't attended to. It took two attempts to get the TV to work with the remote. The technical employee was very nice, but it took two times to get it right. We were told the parking would be $29 but it turned out to be $50. That said the valets were very quick and accommodating. There is an app that manages the parking and they recommend a seven dollar tip. You decide. During the checkout process, we asked for a receipt, but the receipt did not include the total charge for the hotel at all. Also, the online receipt was very difficult to follow and needs improvement. The best feature by far is the extraordinary location on a red brick circle adjacent to the capital building. It is a beautiful location, a block away from downtown and all these great shops and restaurants. I thought that the rooms were extraordinarily clean. The carpet in the room was beautiful, and the furniture was distinguished. However, overall, the lighting was dark . It would've been nice if the room had a small comfortable armchair rather than just a bare desk chair. We did appreciate that the bathrooms had chair rails. The step-in shower was appreciated for someone with a disability. Overall, we appreciated some of the positive things about this hotel - especially the location. We felt the staff was eager to please but stretched too thin. Worth a visit perhaps, but we won't be returning.

The electrical outlets on the desk and end tables worked sometime and sometime not. The coffee maker didn't work. The iron had a broken electrical cord and was very difficult to use. Room service did not replenish full suite of towels, water, etc.; each day they forgot to replace some item. One day, room service was still cleaning adjacent rooms and the hallway at 5pm, which resulted in doors being loudly slammed repeatedly by the service staff, to the point myself and others were peeking out of their room doors to see what was going on. Of special note, the WiFi connection is poor and reminded me of the old dial-up days of the late 1990's. A friend in another room and I finally gave up trying to get any work emails done on our computers, due to the poor and extremely slow connection.
