    Ant

Reserved this hotel through Priceline while traveling. I will start off with the fact that the girls at check in and check out were friendly. Our room was another story. We had ants on several places throughout the room and woke up to roaches. We had a couple of ants get on us while lying in the bed. The sheets weren't fresh smelling and there was hair between the sheets and blankets. It seemed as though the blankets weren't washed regularly because they smelled like other people (who hadn't showered). We checked in around 10:30 pm. We decided to get a view hours of sleep and leave early. I couldn't sleep and we left at 5:30am. We didn't even try the breakfast.

We checked in to our hotel yesterday. -At around 530 I accidentally spilled a bottle hole cup of coffee on the bed wetting all the linens. I pulled them off and went to the front desk to get more and was told they didn't have any. I ask what they meant and the ride employee said we don't have 1000 extras laying around. So o said what are we suppose to do about linens. They again responded we don't have any. After waiting for hours and unable to locate another room available I had to go to Walmart to buy linens for the bed so we could sleep on it. Worst hotel I have stayed at in a long time. Staff is rude and could have cared less if we had any linens. I called and filed a complaint with Choice but as usual I assume nothing will be done. This hotel is run down, smells of mold and there is visible rust all over the bathroom

Upon entering the building, I immediately smelled a fresh clean scent and was impressed with the lobby area, as it was stylish and clean. The receptionist was incredibly nice. She was also super helpful. When we got to our room, I was astonished at the amount of available room. We were placed in a handicap room, so that might have been the reason for the spaciousness. Our room and bathroom were clean. The bed was super comfortable. There was a mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker, and a hair dryer.

I would give less if possible! as if this smell of black mold was not bad enough when you walk in the door that it knocks you down as you enter room the bathtub had bugs crawling out of it it also had mold growing out of the bathtub that was visible and it smelled so bad like mold even the bedding and pillows had the stench of it never again never again never again do not ever stay here. The only really good thing was the man works here was very nice and understanding as it was 1 am and no other hotels had rooms (due to graduation) he put us in another room that still smelled but not as bad. This is a wyndam property that we made reservations with no wyndam property will get our business again!

    dirty towels

The walls are so thin; I could hear the conversations next door, movement in the hall, the doors on either side of me closing, the people above me walking. The rooms seemed clean at first, but no. There were BUGS in the bathroom. A roach took up house in the shower, a centipede hitchhiked through one evening and tiny ants congregated in the sink. Housekeeping only comes around every 3 days so I had to ask for more towels and toilet paper, and silly me, i didn't specify that i needed CLEAN towels. The free breakfast; well you get what you pay for; burnt coffee and cheap danishes. I come to Valdosta to visit family, but will NOT stay here again...

This was a horrible experience. My family and I came in from Atlanta, Ga. This was a 3 1/2 hr drive. I had reserved two rooms. We could not get rooms next to each other. My room was 251. It smelled of mildew. Then I checked the bathroom and it wasn't cleaned. The toliet had urine stains on the seat. When I pulled the blanket back, the sheets had bugs on it. They were crawling.....Also on the night stand it was several bugs.I went to the front desk and she gave me another room. When checking out I asked for a credit and Hirsch the manager told me "because of the room upgrade that would offset the bugs. Never would I stay at Sleep inn at 3026 James Rd. in Valdosta Ga. Customer service was horrible and the experience was hideous

Old outdated rooms. Not what I imagined at all for this hotel. Close to highway kinda behind gas station.

Check-in went smoothly and we were in our rooms within minutes. After a long day of driving, we were glad to walk into a clean, spacious and comfortable room and bathroom. It had all the basics that we needed: mini fridge, microwave, flat screen tv, and more. We all slept soundly that night. We took advantage of the free continental breakfast the next day. It consisted of eggs, toast, juice, milk, etc. Instead of buffet style, they had a couple of nice ladies handing out food. Breakfast was consistent with other Holiday Inns we've stayed at. They have a coffee bar with tea and hot chocolate that you can take advantage of even after breakfast hours. The dining room was packed that morning. Check-out was also a breeze. Everyone we encountered was pleasant and helpful. Since we were only there for such a short period, we didn't get a chance to check out the amenities so I can't speak for those.

I'm super conflicted because despite the hotel being reasonable and the staff being very friendly, the clientele of the hotel seem to be sabotaging my view of the hotel. Look out; it's the return of the list monster. Here comes!!! The Good: - Parking was plentiful - Staff was super friendly. Check in made me feel VERY welcome - I know housekeeping has changed with the pandemic so instead of getting service during my (2 night) stay, I asked for 3 additional towels which I received without issue. - No one killed me in my sleep during my stay (I've had doubts with other stays) - Breakfast was awesome like expected. Hard to beat a Holiday Inn breakfast The Bad: - The clientele is loud to no end - The floors are sticky because the clientele have spilled sticky drinks EVERYWHERE - There are empty wrappers in the stairwell because the clientele doesn't respect the property The elevator is super slow and it jerks when you get on and press the desired floor button - One of the side entrances doesn't work no matter how many times you swipe your key and the lock accepts your key I can't see myself staying here again it's not because of the hotel itself but the clientele it caters to. There are lots of hotels in the area making this place nothing special.

There was a time when I didn't hesitate when booking a room through Marriott's chain of hotels and…read morelodging locations. I believed the experience would be excellent as usual; however, that all changed during and after the 4th of July holiday. Upon the initial check-in, everything seemed good. I was surprised when the reception desk said that room clean-up would be every other day. I thought I had misheard, and she clarified. So, I continued with check-in, and once I entered the room, I did a brief look over. Everything looked okay except for the lack of an in-room safe; therefore, I took everything of value with me when I left the room each day. As I checked out the television, I noticed that not every channel displayed a program or an out-of-service display. I figured it was just because it was late and there weren't many channels available after a certain time at night. The hotel didn't provide room service, so you either had something delivered or could place an order from the kitchen before they closed. I ordered a Bistro burger and was looking forward to a fresh, grilled burger after a long travel day, but that was not the case; I got a pre-grilled burger that was fully cooked but had been warmed in the microwave. The bed was comfortable, so I slept well. When I took a shower, I discovered the shower wash container had enough body wash for one shower. I figured the television channels should all work since it was early morning and a sunny day, but some channels worked, and I ended up listening to music on my iPhone. It was the day before the 4th of July, and I didn't have service, so I left the sign on my doorknob. Since the Bistro burger didn't leave me with a positive experience, I checked other eateries in the area and picked up body wash while I was out. The water pressure and the shower design left a positive note for future mornings. I would suggest (to the hotel) not to provide a microwave in the room if the mini-fridge is only designed as a mini-cooler, since you risk getting food poisoning. You can only use the chiller for water and drinks, as well as to keep your candy bars cold and other non-perishables. The morning of the 4th of July proved to be a day of no channels working on the TV. You definitely want to have your devices charged so you can watch some form of entertainment. I give high marks to the AC working in the room due to humid days. The evening of the 5th was when the deadbolt on the entry door started giving me problems. I had to fiddle with the doorknob to get the deadbolt to retract. The following morning, I took off the sign on my door handle since the maid service was active. I also wanted to see if the room would get service. I reported the doorknob and deadbolt issue to reception. When I got back to the room, I discovered no maid service, trash still in the room, the body wash was not filled, and the door's deadbolt had not been fixed. So, the next day, I spoke to reception about the deadbolt issue, and I inquired about the location of the hotel dumpster. I got all of my trash and headed to the dumpster. I spoke to the cleanup person, and he told me to just drop the bag in the trash can, and he would take care of it. I left my room, and when I returned, it was cleaned; the recyclable bottles were gone; the body wash container was filled; and the deadbolt was still broken. Based on this hotel, I was ready to go and not planning on coming in the future. I've had better experiences at other Marriott Courtyard hotels; therefore, this is the first one to leave me with a non-positive experience. The two stars were for the working HVAC and the shower.
