Overnight stay only. Appears to have tenants. The double room was ok. Lots of running late at night from the room above. Nice shower if you can see how to use it. Breakfast was average hot and cold fare. Mattresses comfortable. Clean. They have smoking area in the rear. Don't go that way if you are a non-smoker. The doors do not really lock after hours but it is a secure area. Staff not much help. I would stay overnight again if needed. read more

The rooms are average if they rip all the nasty carpet out of the rooms, they will smell better. The coffee that they have for complementary breakfast is the same coffee that you have in your room so please keep that in mind terrible the hotel is quiet for the most parts, theirs no restaurants within walking distance. There are nearby stores within 15 miles or so Casey and Kum and go. Gas Station is literally on the corner from the hotel. Oh, and another thing they will biscuit and gravy you to death. read more

We walked into our room at 10:00 p.m. and the light streaming into the window made it seem like dawn. There was a bright spotlight on the ground aimed directly at our window. We closed the curtains but since they are white on the outside they reflected the bright light back onto the walls and into the room. We asked if the light could be turned off. Nope. They moved us to another room, but only made us one key card. I asked for a second card. We got to the new room and it also had a spotlight in the window. Sleep inn has spotlights outside of all the windows! I tried to call the front desk on the phone but the phone was dead. We gave up and went to bed. The next morning I headed for the pool but it was shut down. I went to the workout room. I could not get the television to display any channels. I asked them how to work the TV and they said their cleanup person would take care of it. I was there for 45 minutes and the cleanup person never showed up. The water dispenser was empty. All of the cops were gone. There was text in a foreign language on the screen. read more

I was in town for an event and stayed here two nights. The first night didn't go well--the AC in my room was broken, and the night staff member (a man working the front desk) was unhelpful. He came to the room at 4:30 AM, barely communicated, and seemed more focused on proving there was no issue than helping fix the actual problem. The only thing he offered was a different room for the last two hours of my stay that night. He seemed disinterested and didn't follow up or escalate the issue. When I returned the next day, I found out the problem hadn't been passed on. That was disappointing--especially since I thought at the very least it would be noted. But then Tiffany came on shift. She completely turned the situation around. She listened, cared, and genuinely made an effort to help. Later that day, I had a medical emergency and returned to the hotel in need of immediate help. Tiffany acted quickly, called an ambulance, and made sure I was taken care of. When I came back from the ER, she also helped me get another room--even though I didn't have a reservation for that night. Her actions were the only reason I stayed another night. It's rare to find someone in hospitality who genuinely cares, and she made a huge difference. She even makes the lemon water in the lobby herself--something I only found out from another guest, which says a lot about her level of commitment. As for the hotel itself: it's a Sleep Inn, not a Hilton. The building shows its age--some cosmetic wear and tear--but the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable, and the breakfast is decent. If the price stays reasonable, I'd stay here again. But management needs to recognize and support staff like Tiffany. The last "Employee of the Month" board was from 2023, which suggests they may not be doing much to acknowledge the good work being done. This was almost a one-star review. But Tiffany changed that. She turned a bad experience into a reason to come back. If more of the staff were like her, this place would be five stars all day. read more

If i could give 0 stars i would. Your front desk clerk is unhappy and unhelp. Additionally, your workers turned away from me when i walked in, probably because I wasnt the right skin color. The air conditioner doesnt work so i asked for a fan. Your misersble front desk clerk said there was no such thing. Plus the breakfast is weak. I have met kinder people at lower rated hotels. Just for reference I am a SCIENTIST at IDT that works weekends, so i stay at hotels during the 3 days i work, like many others. we stayed here on a Saturday night for a family gathering. in total we had 4 or 5 rooms and 11 people. our rooms were not next to each other. no problem until we were getting in a rowdy card game after 10pm. so we checked with the front desk to see if others were in adjoining rooms. they were all booked rooms, but they offered us to use the breakfast area. it was perfect for a toddler to run crazy and free. we had an enjoyable experience. the only complaint was the super thin bath towels. you really need several to get yourself dried off. Breakfast was your usual breakfast fare. biscuits were super dry and kinda like bricks. read more

After driving for 12 hours, this was to be our overnight resting place. Other than a very over filled trash can and a ton (and I mean ton) of cig butts at the entrance, the lobby, breakfast area, and lounge were very clean. Check-in was friendly and fast. Our room, on the 3rd floor was and end suite that was vet spacious and contemporary. Large windows let in the afternoon sun and warmed the room. The bathroom was very spacious and clean. No evidence of mold or mildew missed by staff. Although it appears that the hotel and rooms have had recent improvements, about four of the tiles under the sink as if from settling. This did detract from the overall aesthetic, but only mildly. In a hotel room, and in particular the bathroom, cleanliness and proof of regular maintenance are very important. The entire room was comfortable and very welcoming. The Sleep Inn in North Liberty, IA also has a dos and pool and very small fitness room. We did not use the pool or spa but they were in very good shape and also appeared clean and well maintained. B The fitness room contains a small weight universal, one treadmill, and a recumbent stationary bike. They also provide water. A basket that was supposed to contain clean towels was empty. The carpet was very dirty, as though it had not been vacuumed in a long while. This, the scads of cig butts and trash around the entrance grounds, and the sickeningly sweet smell of what I can only describe as teriyaki beef jerky in the 3rd floor hallway are two reasons why this review is at four stars instead of five. Breakfast is sufficient if not underwhelming. "Omelets" are available. And are the result of our disgusting pre made processed food product world. However, waffles, sausage, biscuit and gravy, juices, cereals, breads, and yogurts are also available. Coffee is decent. There are more than enough choices before one hits the road to at least get you to where you are going. Over all, we felt that $75.00 per night plus the $12.50 pet fee was a little pricey for this hotel but we enjoyed our stay and the super comfy beds after a very, very early and long 750+ miles drive over 11+ hours. Our pets were very welcome and very happy as well, which goes a long way as well. And, the pet fee was definitely very fair. The overall price seemed a tiny bit high. This not a full service hotel and there are few conveniences within walking distance. Restaurants, retail shopping centers, and grocery stores are about four miles from the hotel. Other than what was mentioned here as detracting aspects, we strongly recommend the Stay Inn if you are passing through or visiting someone in the area. read more

There was a view of a corn field right out our window, so we really got that true Iowa small town farm vibe. For those looking for more of a *city* vibe, Coralville and Iowa City are super close. Coralville has a huge mall--Coral Ridge Mall--and Iowa City is a lovely college town. Easy on and off interstate access to these nearby city stops is a great thing, because North Liberty doesn't have much in the way of restaurants or shopping. This is a resting place for sure, and not necessarily a destination. If you're looking to relax a bit during your stay, there is a nice clean heated indoor pool and a hot tub. Beds were okay. Pillows were okay. We had a difficult time getting our room temperature just right, because the air conditioning kept things freezing cold. The showers were 5-star fabulous! The free self-serve breakfast had your basic waffles, yogurt, fruit, juice, etc. Hot items like sausage and eggs were available until 9:30am, so no sleeping in. Great coffee. Overall, we had a pleasant stay here. The breakfast is consistent - every time - we've stayed here. The gal kept the breakfast filled for the guest. We had a hot tub suite and it was great! Hot tub was decently sized and my girlfriend and I were able to be in there with comfort. Along with a decent/clean room, the A/C worked nicely too :) The only downside was the bed was hard so for those that don't like firm beds, you may want to look elsewhere for a good nights sleep. read more
