The items delivered to me were not functional because a portion of the order was not delivered. The team told me to convert into a platform bed instead of them paying the cost to send needed items.  When I called to return the store manager said " I was over my 30 day return time frame". I was not. I contacted the regional manager Jason O'Neal who has been nonresponsive. The excuse of "covid" was also given as to why items could not be returned. No team members at this site are wearing masks, there is no signage about Covid protocol or following of any basic Covid protocol in this store, likely because the state of Louisiana has lifted almost all Covid restrictions. I requested the items be refunded so I could use my credit account for items I can actually use. As this will affect my credit, if not honored I will have to pursue legal action against the company. It sucks that I now have to dedicate real time to this when the problem came from the American Freight side.

It was a very painless transaction, we paid in full and was told that the delivery would take 12-16 weeks; so, we were pleasantly surprised when we learned that we were receiving the chair on week 9. That is where the positive experience ended. The chair was delivered broken, on a Friday, when their service department is closed. I called and left a detailed message, but did not receive a call back on Monday - when the department reopened. I called on Tuesday and was told that I would receive a call the following week to set up a service date. I had not received a call by the following Wednesday, so I called back. I was told that the service guy was on the delivery truck this week and would not be available to service until next week. So here I am at week 3 of having a broken chair and no date set for a repair. I would have preferred to have the chair delivered at week 12 in working condition, over a delivery of a broken chair that is just taking room up in my living room for 3 weeks, at week 9.

Once the work was completed and the furniture delivered I immediately noticed that the paint would rub off anywhere it is touched. I spoke with and was told that the issue was because I requested a matte finish. I asked to see the paint used and was shocked to see that they used Valspar flat wall paint from Lowe's. I contacted Valspar and was told that this product is not recommended for furniture application but they do make a matte finish paint for furniture. I called Linda and explained this to her but she would not accept any responsibility. I requested a refund for the paint work or for them to repaint with the correct materials because I am very unhappy. She has refused! I would not recommend this business to anyone, they do not stand behind their work and they use cheap substandard products!

What a fantastic company!…read more Recently, I needed my 16 year old sofa partially reupholstered and I also needed the reclining function fixed on one side. The owner came to the house, looked at the sofa, assessed what needed to be done and made the arrangements for the sofa to be picked up so that they could work their "magic". After a little over a week, my sofa was ready and in excellent, like-new condition! Not only did they reupholster two cushions and fix the recliner, but they also added necessary padding to certain cushions as well as the arm rest. The sofa has never looked better and I couldn't be happier with the results! I would highly recommend this company for their great communication, excellent service and good pricing.

Horrible Experience Overall!!…read more We purchased the top of the line bed from Temperpedic for just under $20,000.00. I woke up everyday with my shirt drenched because it was so hot. After 3 weeks and probably a dozen calls to try to get someone to look at it, I decided to return it. But they force you to keep it a month before they can even schedule a pickup. So finally they come out to pick up this bed that left me not rested and exhausted everyday. Having to get up and take a shower because I was drenched. When they come to pick it up and are walking down the stairs with the mattress, I notice a hole in the bottom of both mattresses that still have the film on it so the inept delivery people did not set it up correctly at all. I was not getting any heating or cooling that came with the bed because of the poor setup. So I call and expressed my extreme disappointment and ask for them to waive the $700 restocking fee because I had such a miserable experience with their products and their representatives. Basically I was told "oh well and I am stuck with the restocking". No attempt to pass me up the management chain to resolve my extreme dissatisfaction. I lost a month of my life due to being extremely tired all the time and hardly sleeping. The only bright spot in this whole experience was the sales person Craig. He was knowledgeable and good with people. He was great. I am definitely going to be reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and I am really tempted to sue them in small claims court. It is not the money as much as when you spend that much money on something the customer service should be much better.
