I purchased a outdoor Ashley swivel rocker(elite park), from the Ashley store in Beckley, WV. I…read morepurchased the rocker 05/12/23. The frame broke where the chair body is attached to the swivel. The frame has a life time warranty. I have called Ashley customer support, the Ashley store, and Ashley corporate. They all tell me the same that since they can't order a part, there is nothing they can do. The frame is what is broken. This was do to a poor weld job. I don't understand why a company with a reputation, for building top dollar products, would not stand behind their products. I paid over $800 for this chair, instead of buying a cheaper chair of your company name. This is how companies like yours end up going under. Look at the big names that went that way. I took the coupon to Ashley's in Beckley thinking there will be a condition to use the coupon. I was greeted by Leanna Coffman, I showed her the coupon, she said yes, see what you would like and the coupon will be applied. I asked her if I had to make a purchase more than the $199.00 she said no. I walked around the store, I have been looking for new lamps. I ran in the sales manager, Mark Davis, I told himy story, that I figured this was a gimmick to get me to purchase the plan, he said, no way! That is yours to spend however you want, and said if I needed any help to let him know. I continued on my search, being greeted by Leanna to make sure I didn't have any questions. I did find a lamp I really liked, she helped me out a bulb in and turn it on. Perfect, I told her I would just take one, at the register she said I will give you 25% off, I said, OH! Great, I will also take the other one, Mr. Mark Davis came by and said, did you find something, I told him yes, going to get both lamps, he asked the Leanna how much was I going to pay for the pair, he said give them to her for .... I said really! He said yes, we stand behind our policy and nothing hidden. He said, I appreciate you being honest when you came in and was thinking the coupon was a gimmick. I have also purchased my purple bedding from Ashley's, I have always been treated so kind and couldn't ask for more professional home like folks. In the area and stopped by this Antique / Comic Store. The owner was very pleasant and took the…read moretime to show me around and answer my questions. A collector himself, we discussed our collections and trends in older comics. His shoppe was a bit untidy as he just received a lot of new stock to display and while he was away for awhile, his old manager moved a lot of stuff around. But I had no problem browsing his stock. In the front area were lots of antique furniture and items. Around the store were displays of classic LP albums, huge stock of sports cards, figurines and action figures, toys, games, art, magazines, and comics. It was a great place to browse around and just feel the presence of the past in his displays. And be sure to pet his greeter, his very attendant dog. Barks but no bites. Check it out.
