TERRIBLE experience twice now trying to buy a car here. Like to keep it local - but strike two and never again.

So ridiculously expensive. Just ridiculous. Good quality work; nice people but they are glad to…read moreover over over charge you. Perfect place if you are a zillionaire.

This is not a dealership to be trusted, at least as far as service/maintenance. I'm an auto…read moretechnician myself and like to do my own work but sometimes don't have the time and need to trust others. After a few years of my own and families business, I've found Sleepy Hollow Ford to be a generally disingenuous and untrustworthy place. After having lived in the area for some years, they've suggested and charged for unnecessary alignments. Sold my brother Kelly Charger tires whose tread separated inside a year, should have been covered under manufacturer warranty but they couldn't bother to investigate. I myself had to pay for an alignment there unfortunately, and in the course of the pre-alignment inspection the tech doing the work found some slop in the steering rack. He initially diagnosed it as a loose tie rod end and after observing the play in the wheel assembly I approved the work. Here's the kicker; as I'm sitting by the service desk waiting for my car the tech approaches the service manager Denny and whispers something to him. Denny is on the phone and says straight back to him "Too late, the parts already ordered". I'm a courteous guy and at the time wanted to think the best of the place, but sure enough after I get the car back there is still noticeable play in the steering and after closer inspection I find that it's actually from a loose drivers side control arm bushing. By this time I'm halfway to FL, call and confront Denny, and he basically say's "What do you want me to do about it?" He actually had fear in his voice, and I take that as a I sign of guilt. To top it off, they just charged me $150 for a new Motorcraft ignition cylinder when the same part goes for $81 on RockAuto. I've tried to get some explanation from them for the last 2 hours and have been brushed off repeatedly. I take some solace in knowing that people come to me for car advice and I'm able to steer them away from this stealership. This place will gladly sell you a car but I would never recommend letting them work on it. I wouldn't trust Carl either, he's the other weasel faced service manager and pretends to be polite but he'll also tell lies straight to your face.

I brought my 2007 Nissan to Don's to find out what was causing a number of odd sensations and…read moresounds when driving... and the service was phenomenal! Within 30 minutes I was informed that my car and needed some repairs. For contrast: I had taken it to Pischke Nissan in La Crosse, WI trying to get a diagnostic on this a week prior, who failed to identify these glaring problems. The car was unsafe to drive, but Don's Auto and Truck Center (and Bud!) were incredible in solving my problems. After some negotiation with my insurance, I was able to use a loaner vehicle while mine was undergoing said repairs! I drive this vehicle for work, so being given a loaner for the three weeks I had to wait for work to begin and get finished was just the best thing I could have asked for! Even better, I did not have to pay the Pischke Dealership rate! Bud and the staff there at Don's Auto really are the best in the area, if you ask me! --Z
