One of the entrants was a commercial space that had been designed by CG Interiors. The loft space was home to an advertising agency and the space was truly amazing! Caryn made every effort to keep the project as sustainable and local as possible. Much of the furniture was custom designed and built by People of Resource, a local Atlanta design firm. She also sourced lighting from a brilliant local artist Chris Moulder. The space was energetic, creative and invited collaboration--perfect for an advertising agency! Oh and did I mention CG Interiors won the award for best office space? Beating out truly stiff competition from the likes of HOK, Cousins properties and others.

I worked 1-on-1 with a BedBoard designer (who was awesome!) through every step of the process and ended up with something even better than I had imagined. We ordered the nailtrim headboard with the Roman fabric - it is gorgeous! And the quality is even better than it looks online - you really get more than you pay for in my opinion. This is such a brilliant idea and the customer service is fantastic - I'm extremely happy with the experience I had and, more importantly, with the finished product. Bet you didn't know they did re-upholstery, did you? Neither did I until City Issue referred me to them. Apparently they do some of City Issue's mid century modern furniture re-upholstery. For starters I bought this absolutely gorgeous mid century Dux chair that was covered in this hideous stained fabric that I knew I could get redone to look more period; the price was good so I had to buy it. After I bought the chair I had an email convo with one of the designers to get a quote for my chair and ottoman. I provided her with pictures and dimensions. She gave me the quote, $350 which isn't that much considering the front and back needed to be replaced as well as the ottoman. She also asked me to come in and pick a fabric. They have loads of fabrics to choose from; all styles and all price ranges. They also will let you bring in your own fabric, which is what I did (I bought my fabric at Lewis and Sheron). They quoted me a time of when my chair would be ready. I picked it up when it was done and my jaw dropped. My chair was now pimped out and bad ass. They did a wonderful job and I am so happy that I used Nandina. That chair is now my seating pride and joy. *I will post some pictures when I get around to taking them.

I also have to hand it to BJ who did the installations. We spread this project over 3 orders a couple weeks apart to take time figuring out what we needed. Each time, BJ was thorough, thoughtful, and fast. We have black windows throughout the house, which is new for us and made design selections a little trickier, but the results are outstanding. Wil and team went above and beyond to get the colors exactly right and ensure everything was measured and designed to spec for each window. There are way more decisions to make than you realize, so having someone knowledgeable to walk us through the options made all the difference. The results speak for themselves. I wish the photos did them justice! They're even better in person. We went with white 2-inch faux wood blinds (they look awesome with the black windows!), sheer black solar roller shades, and extra-large wood plantation shutters custom painted to match the window trim. They are stunning.
