The budgeted price we were given was exceeded by more than 100% as many items that were required we're not ordered or ordered incorrectly, the schedule was repeatedly delayed with weeks going by with no work performed, and the designer was clearly in over her head not knowing what bullnose tile or shoe molding were, for example. On several occasions work was performed contrary to instructions and we were fortunate enough to catch it early enough to correct. In some cases, we did not. We ended up having to fire Decasa Designs and take other steps to complete the project. We do not recommend Decasa Designs - at least for nothing more than the simplest of designs and then we'd recommend you get a professional contractor to manage the project. A quoted 6 week job ended up being 6 weeks of work but that took place over almost 6 months of not having our home. Ouch!

My contractors name was Steve Noel and he did an amazing job addressing all of my concerns and coordinating my messy project. Renovating your house is not easy and I have had the worst luck with contractors just dumping the job and leaving half way through after I have paid them and I did not have that fear working with Trademark Flooring. We did have some miscommunications and a few mistakes were made but after talking to Steve and clearing things up everything was fixed right away. I did a master bathroom flooring/wall and a living room/kitchen/dining/guest bathroom flooring project with Trademark Flooring. Living room/kitchen/dining/guest bathroom work: I had red oak 2.5 inch hardwood floors in the kitchen and dining room area and carpet in the living room section. Trademark Flooring first came in and removed everything. I have no basement and a concrete slab so they worked for about three days removing the glued down hardwoods and sanding and scraping everything down. I chose a large 48 by 48 porcelain tile for the living/kitchen/dining/guest bathroom floors and the entire floor was to be heated. Trademark Flooring was the only place that confidently took on the 48 by 48 inch tile and was fully prepared with their own electrician to hookup the thermostats after the installers ran all of the wire underneath before tiling. Master bathroom work: My master bathroom was all done with marble and heated flooring. I wanted a lot of niches and they were able to make the curved arch niches l wanted leaving the wires from the inside for my other contractor to come in and install lighting after the tiling was done. I used 48 by 24 marble tiles on the floors and walls and smaller marble tiles for the niches. They did a beautiful job with the tile around the deck of my drop in bathtub. They can basically do anything you ask for and I wanted to be a little creative with my design and they excelled in meeting my expectations. They even gave me great ideas when something I wanted was not going to be able to be done because of the existing layout of house. For example: An idea from Steve came up with the brilliant idea of furring the wall out to make one of the niches I wanted because breaking the wall and moving the pipe for the toilet was not an option as there was no room for the pipe to go back further. (Saved me money too to do it this way). I have posted the before and after pictures of my bathroom and living room floors. My house is not done yet so do not mind the unfinished surroundings. History of my project before Trademark Flooring: I am renovating my entire house and had a previous contractor come in that took a large deposit as 50% of each project I was starting ($42,000) and he started demolishing everything in the house first and then said he ordered all of the materials (tiles, speakers, bathtubs, windows, cabinets etc...) and basically kept asking for more money and after I told him to finish the projects I already paid for, he left the job and my house in a state as if a nuclear bomb hit it. So here I was with no bathroom, kitchen, and holes in the wall everywhere, plus things that he did wrong while trying to pretend like he was working. I tried to save a buck by going with a cheap contractor and I learned the hard way that sometimes going through companies is cheaper in the long run and less of a headache. I had to redo my master bathroom three times before I finally had Steve and Trademark Flooring come in and fix it for the last time. Side note: I also felt that the pricing from Trademark Flooring was very reasonable compared to quotes I got from other companies but if you run into any plumbing work and extra electrical work please try to find and use someone that you know. I had an issue with my Kohler tub faucet but because of the sake of time I used a plumber recommended by Steve who did excellent work but was very expensive. I also had to run 240 volt wires for the heated flooring that was broken up into 3 sections (master bathroom (kitchen, living room, guest bathroom on one circuit)(dining room heated flooring on a different circuit)). I got an electrician I knew to do the running of the 240 volt wires as the electrician that Steve recommended who connects the thermostat at the end was a little pricy too.
