    Cinnamon roll

Fabulous staff. This is one of the things you can usually count on when supporting a local business. Woman told me of a special upcoming event at the place with grilled cheese sandwiches on homemade bread and tomato soup. The weather is now changing and this sounds perfect. Anyhow, I digress...I got the breakfast burrito. Housemade salsa, properly cooked eggs, 2 sausage patties, American cheese, folded correctly. It was fine, a 5 on a 10 scale. I'll probably try a biscuit sandwich next time. Cinnamon rolls in the display case looked incredible. Bought one for a neighbor and one for myself. Good texture on dough, cream cheese icing not too sweet, could have used more cinnamon inside. I'd give it a 6. Overall. The great service from the staff will bring me back. Conveniently located, has a good parking lot.

Although I was a little too late to order breakfast off the menu at 11:45, I managed to snag one of the breakfast soufflés I have to say it's yummy! This is a super cute little place with a nice big porch to eat on in the sun or in the shade. Friendly and quick.

Finally, I had some free time to stop in and try the new local Artisan bakery and coffee shop located just off the historic downtown Lebanon square walking distance from Cumberland University. After all the hype on social media, I was excited to check out Slow Hand mid-morning before their pastries sold out again. My friend and I were mesmerized by the amazing pastries on display! Everything looked so good! We settled on a Salted Caramel latte, Cafe au Lait, and a seriously moist and flavorful cupcake. The staff that helped us out were pleasant, and the service was great. This is a perfect spot to grab a hot beverage and a sweet treat with a friend.

Food is bland, quiche is over priced, I was served by Audra who just seemed upset about everything. The vibes here are off.

So for the sake of convenience (I also recently had hand surgery), we thought we'd give Sweet Thing Bakery a try for my son's 3rd birthday cake. It's safe to say, this will be our new go-to! The cake was just like the picture I gave as an example and it was absolutely delicious. Everyone at the party raved over it. A baker myself, I'm pretty picky about cakes. This one was incredibly moist and the frosting had much more of a buttery taste than that of other bakeries; especially grocery store bakeries whose frostings taste mostly of shortening. Their prices are very reasonable as well. Just a tip--if you want to order a cake for a special occasion, they require that you do it at least 2 weeks in advance!

That is not an ADA requirement, and there is no official vest, registration, or certification required for a legitimate service animal in the United States. Under the ADA, businesses cannot require proof of documentation, demand certification papers, or refuse entry simply because a service animal is not vested. A service animal handler also cannot legally be asked to leave unless the animal is out of control or causing a disturbance that the handler does not correct. The only questions staff are permitted to ask are: 1. Is the animal required because of a disability? 2. What work or task has the animal been trained to perform? Policies rooted in misinformation create unnecessary humiliation and barriers for disabled individuals who already face enough challenges in public spaces. Businesses should take the time to properly educate their staff on ADA laws instead of enforcing requirements that simply do not exist.

This is a small bakery with about 4 tables and chairs in the back. The AC felt really nice after standing in line next door where their AC wasn't on. As my husband waited next door for our lunch, I ordered some tamales and bakery items at La Canasta. Despite my lack of Spanish-speaking skills, I was able to make an order and though I didn't quite understand, I spontaneously said "okay!" Because when tamales are in your top 10 for food, you always say okay, no matter what you're ordering. Well, I ended up with two savory pulled chicken tamales and two sweet plantain tamales. Both were authentic as could be, wrapped in corn husks, and the masa was so flavorful! I've only been in TN for two weeks and I managed to find authentic tamales much faster than I did when living in NC. The bakery items were nice and it was fun to try new foods. I've never been to a Mexican bakery before so everything we purchased was new to me. I especially loved that nothing was over the top sweet like American bakeries. The staff here are all very kind even with my poor Spanish-speaking skills (let's be honest, near non-existent). If you're looking for authentically made tamales, this is your go-to!!

Very personable and the cake was just AMAZING!!! She really went out her way to put live into this cake! Please see her instagram for pictures. Words can't do this cake justice! To top it off (pun intended,) the fondant toppers she made (stitch, a sloth, and a fox,) were just incredible! She made sure to be thorough and ask if I had any specific wants for design, flavoring, etc. as well as making sure there were no allergies for the people involved in devouring this treat. I opted to pickup my order and as soon as I knocked, she was there to greet me. The cake was delicious! Everybody loved it. It was dense, rich and just the right amount of sweet. I'll be ordering here again for the next occasion.
