They have NAILED the New Jersey bagel!! The "chew" is right and the flavor is great. The selection is everything we had in NJ. (Our daughter loves the salt bagels). We both had Pork Roll sandwiches and while a different brand than we're used to (Taylor), we actually liked this Trenton brand better because it wasn't as salty. If you've never been to NJ and eaten a bagel from there, I highly recommend getting a Pork Roll, Egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. I love mine on an Everything Bagel. Coffee is delicious. Only downside is styrofoam coffee cups. Maybe they could switch to paper. One request - please open a 2nd store in Cookeville TN. The Tennessee Tech students would literally eat you up.

First off, the place is a fun, no-frills bakery. The illustrations are entertaining! I ordered a ham, egg & cheese on an onion bagel, my husband ordered the sausage, egg and cheese on an everything bagel. These sandwiches are HUGE, so either share or come hungry! These sandwiches coffee is no frills as well, so don't expect anything fancy. We will come back because the sandwiches were awesome, definitely want to try the pork rolls next.

You just can't beat this place !! ‍‍‍‍

I just had the breakfast sausage, onion, and cheese bagel and I'm convinced this place has cracked some sort of ancient Northeast code the rest of the country doesn't have. The bagel itself? Perfect chew, crisp outside, soft inside -- exactly how a bagel is supposed to be. Not bread pretending to be a bagel. The real deal. The sausage was hot, savory, and actually seasoned (rare these days). The onions were cooked just right -- not soggy, not raw -- and the cheese melted into everything like it knew where it belonged. Every bite hit. No weak spots. No filler. No shortcuts. You can tell immediately this place gives a damn. From the dough to the cook to the final handoff -- it's done with pride. This is the kind of spot you accidentally ruin other breakfast places by going to first. If you're anywhere near Jersey Oven Bagels and don't stop here, that's on you. I'll be back -- probably way too often.

Great sandwich for good price. Spicy Dagwood. Amazing service and fast. Store has cool self service options

For someone who was born and raised in Jersey, this place is the real deal! When moving to Nashville, I was pessimistic about finding a true NJ bagel shop, but I was wrong about not being able to find one! When you walk in, there are so many Jersey signs that make me feel right at home. The service is quick, and while you may have to wait a bit for the sandwiches, it's well worth it! I ordered the pork roll and cheese on a sesame bagel. The bagel has the exact consistency of a true NJ bagel, and the pork roll was so tasty. If you don't know what pork roll is, it's a type of ham that everyone in Jersey eats with their bagels! Try it. You'll like it. They also put a ton of cheese on the bagel, which oozes out of your bagel. It's amazing. My boyfriend got the sausage, egg and cheese on a plain bagel and he loved it as well. Again, they aren't shy with the amount of cheese, which is what's a good thing. We will, of course, be back for more delicious Jersey bagels!

This place was decadent. I loved the environment, especially how friendly everyone was. I especially appreciated the customer service as i forgot to grab one bagel and they even went as far as to replace it days later. I will be back and the best sandwich I had was the Reuben!! The best cream cheese was the strawberry- tasted like ice cream to me.

Bumping it up to 5 stars after my last visit. Basic deli interior, The staff is friendly but also real so come correct. Absolutely fantastic bagels and cool creations. Had the hot pastrami and Swiss, on a pumpernickel rye bagel (per his suggestion). 9/10 The meat was juicy and packed to the brim with flavor. The way they whip their cream cheese, all the unique spreads. Chewy light bagels. Guys, we happily drive 30 mins to get these on the weekends and so should you.

I grabbed lunch at Jersey Oven in Mount Juliet, TN. I was very hungry and looking for some great bagels. I ordered the pastrami and swiss sandwich. This bagel shop makes fresh bagels and has a grill to cook up hot food for bagel sandwiches. Service is simple, you walk in and order at the counter. I waited a few minutes after ordering and my food was ready. My pastrami sandwich was large with plenty of meat and cheese on a garlic bagel. The pastrami had a good salty slightly smoky flavor to it and it was juicy. There was lots of cheese to balance out the meat. Some veggies on the sandwich would have been nice, but the sandwich hit the spot and resolved my hunger. I was expecting the texture of a new york bagel, however it was lacking that dense chewiness. Other than that, I enjoyed my food and ordered an everything bagel to-go to make a breakfast sandwich at home later. There is also a deli case with processed meats to purchase on the side. Jersey Oven is a go.

My 2 stars do not reflect the quality of the food!! The bagels were good. They miss the accuracy of our order on two items... both were to have extra egg. I'm thinking the "person" taking my order is tuned out. There was a limited supply left of the bagels. We knew it and she stated that as well. So we placed our selection and she "carefully" wrote it down! Good job! Bad job... She took so long that the bagels we selected when there was no one else in the shop were quickly taken by the other staff member WITHOUT ASKING what we selected. When you're giving your order and you specify exactly the bagels you want from what's remaining but the hostess mess's up by not bagging your bagels first.. Disappointing!! And No apology!! What's worse is when staff members "whisper" about the customer in front of them! To the Owner... you have a great shop! And great products! Your hustling!! Don't let your front staff represent you poorly!!

Parking wasn't too bad unless you have mobility issues. Despite their whole thing being NY-style bagels, I actually selected a Reuben on Pumpernickel. I wasn't feeling like eating a whole bunch of whipped cream cheese or a chicken salad. Portion sizes were pretty good, actually. I think the main things for me would be to simplify the menu and offer size options. Something like half a bagel or like a "classics variety" (like a variety cheesecake). So you could pick and choose quarters or maybe thirds. I was happy to see they had savory cream cheese options because they are so underrated. I also got their honey lavender lemonade which was fire and not too sweet. The staff were all great and it is clearly a pretty popular spot. Overall no issues and I will probably go again.

I was so afraid I would never have another good bagel again that I literally took bagel-baking classes at the Culinary Institute of America. I was right to be scared. For years, Nashville bagels were just bread donuts. Soft circles of steamed sadness committing breakfast fraud. The kind of thing someone hands you and says, "It's basically the same," right before you question every decision that led you south. Then this place showed up. It started as a pop-up inside TKO, R.I.P., and now it has taken over the whole space. This place gets it right. The bagels are boiled, rolled, baked, chewy, crusty, and spiritually accurate. Not "good for Nashville." Not "pretty close." Just really freaking good bagels. No apologies needed. The place looks the way a bagel shop is supposed to look. Concrete floors. Friendly chaos. People working hard behind the counter. And the people? That's the real thing. Mr. Aaron, his wife, and the whole crew are amazing. They know your name. They bust your chops. You bust theirs. That is community. That is customer service with a pulse. They even have a Mets fan, which proves their commitment to authenticity and long-term emotional damage.
