Checked this place out for the first time today. I love the exterior of the building and the inside is pretty rad as well. The shop had a good vibe and I saw a lot of neat things. Sadly, I didn't find anything I couldn't live without, but I like to admire fashion from a far sometimes more than really dive into it anyhow. They had a lot of neat jewelry in the cases, though I wish I could have seen the prices. I hate having to ask because it makes me feel pressured. I'm kind of awkward, but maybe next time I'll just go ahead and ask because I'm still thinking about the cute necklace I saw haha The downstairs was lush with clothing and accessories. A fun place to go with a friend or while out on a bit of an adventure/date, which I was, with my guy. When we got upstairs we loved the fancy seating area and struck a few poses on the couch. We danced around the dress racks a bit... We were feeling it haha. There was a good overall vibe. Even though we didn't purchase anything, I'm sure we'll be back. I wasn't exactly in the market for anything specific today. Now that I know what kind of items this shop carries, I can come back when I need a cool dress... or that necklace... Heh.

I needed to dress for my conterence party because i wasn't happy what i brought with me.The Hotel concierge recommended Smack Clothing nearby. I walked in and saw the giant discoball and the style of the store, i knew i was in the right place! The jewelry was beautiful and fits perfect to the clothes.I chose something special after i found out about the second floor!! Too many beautiful dresses to chose from! Clothing stores in Holland i usually can chose from are much smaller and have less choises in individuall fabrics.I love my new outfit and had the best night out ever! Thanks to Smack and im definitly coming back if i return for the next years conference!

Cool vintage shop on a little street just over the bridge from downtown. Found some cool kimonas and dresses. Upstairs has more men's clothing and dresses that seem to be mostly new. Jewelry and belt buckles galore. Prices were in the middle of the spectrum from our Nashville vintage tour today. Various items hitting around 50$.

For all you wannabe rock stars out there (again, I mean this in the best way possible), follow the lights to Smack. I always wondered where all the country rocker types walking around Nashville got their clothes, and then I walked into Smack. With rhinestoned crosses and skulls galore, this place must call out to someone, not me, but I have seen you walking around with leather bracelets, tight jeans, snakeskin dress shoes, and Ed Hardy like button downs. Clearly, this place is not my bag of chips, but I will say that if you head upstairs you will find some good deals on going out dresses and even some great shoes on sale. The guy who was working upstairs was really nice and helpful, the woman downstairs not so much. Again I say, RHINESTONES!

Smack is all about rock 'n roll and glamour: Mexican art-influenced rhinestones T-shirts and tanktops, risque halter dresses, tops with holes cut in the shoulders, designer jeans, But there are a lot of interesting dresses and tops here for people with a subtler, less flashy look who still like to wear edgy or unusual clothes. Smack is a big store, so they manage to offer a good selection of various youthful styles. I thought the eclecticism of the store was a really neat feature, because it allows shoppers who enjoy different looks to mingle and try new styles. While I was looking around Smack, I saw as many men shoppers as women, which struck me as kind of unusual. But their selection of men's clothes is about as wide as the women's section, so I guess that makes sense. Although the new, in-season items at Smack are pretty expensive ($30-$40 tops, etc.), they have some really good sales: $12 skirts, $30 dresses...I got a high-quality linen retro print dress there on sale for just $17. The staff here is really nice - I saw a staff member patiently bringing another customer dress after dress, and chatted with the woman at the register about the Sesame St. video she had on. My only complaints about Smack are logistical - they only have three dressing rooms, which means that in the middle of the afternoon during the week I had to wait for one to open (I don't even want to know what the wait is like on the weekends!), and they don't have a scanner, so check-out takes longer than usual because the cashier has to record the code for each item you're purchasing by hand. Overall though, possibly my favorite clothing store in Nashville thanks to the interesting and varied selection and the great sales.

What had prior to 2021 been the abandoned Nashville Convention Center is now a modern mixed use development that has brought life into Broadway west of the "Honkey Tonk Highway" stretch. It features a shopping mall, Assembly Food Hall, a retail scape fronting Broadway, The Place at Fifth, the National Museum of African American Music, and the towering landmark 501 Commerce Street Building. It has brought an Apple Store, Sephora, Shake Shack, Hattie B's, Prince's Chicken, and more to Broadway. On my vacation, I had caught it's act several times. The one sight that always stood out was the consistent long line to Hattie B's. My visits here included Assembly Food Hall, Prince's Fried Chicken, the Twelve Thirty Club, visit the Apple Store, and walk around. My impression was that the stores and restaurants are reasonably priced. Although the restaurants and stores provide decent value, to me the greatest value here was the photo opportunities. The focal point of the development, the L-shaped mall which bridges Broadway with Rep. John Lewis Way gives the gift of a prime photo spot for the 1) Ryman Auditorium where the original Grand Ol Opry performed and 2) Bridgestone Arena. The restaurants, especially in the Assembly Hall provide an opportunity to photograph food. I recommend the Assembly Food Hall Bridge to photograp the historic Ryman Auditorium. Additionally , I learned that if I stood on Broadway by the Bridgestone Arena, that Fifth Plus Broadway made a dynamic photo showing modern and historic Broadway, with the modern Fifth Plus Broadway architecture including towers contrasting with the historic Honkey Tonk Highway streetscape. As far as safety, I felt safe. The one annoyance that I saw were street hustlers at the Rep. John Lewis Way entrance aggressively bothering passer-by. During all of my visits here it was busy. There is a safety in numbers. On the subject of safety, the hot and humid summers need to be taken into account. On a few occasions we had escaped the excruciating heat in the air conditioned Assembly Food Hall for a couple of hours. I rate Fifth Plus Broadway "Four Stars." It is doing a remarkable job extending the lively Broadway restaurant and entertainment scene beyond the western edge of the Honkey Tonk Highway.

Considering that I had just visited Five Below the other day, I decided to devote my time and credit card at FYE. I'm glad that I did. I used to visit FYE for used CDs and DVDs. It has changed with the times. It offers cool Japanese snacks and drinks, and a lot more. It carries Pusheen, Hello Kitty, Squishmallows, and Grogu products that I love, just to list a few. I was thirsty after spending some quality time shopping at this outlet mall. I decided to get a bottle of Pusheen strawberry fizzy seltzer. I was delighted that it had zero calories. You can get everything from a reusable Paul Frank shopping bag, to a huge slab of Rice Crispies. I enjoyed seeing Pac-man arcades games. I love Pac-man so much. The Grogu merchandise is extensive at this store. You can get wall clocks, socks, and signs. I ended up getting a small Grogu plushie to add to my collection. The electronics section is fun. It was a blast from my past seeing a portable CD player. I still have my Sony version from the late 90's. It still works! There were four staff members at the cashout area. I got a nice woman who helped with my purchase. I paid with a credit card. My transaction was seamless. I found a bench in the mall and cracked open my fizzy drink. It had a twist top, which I appreciated. I don't carry a bottle opener when I'm shopping! It tasted great. I wish that it were chilled, but I was so thirsty that I didn't care. I'd love to get another bottle or two. I love this store so much that it's deadly. If you like novelty items, shop here. I want to go back, but my credit card balance may revolt. (221)

Hello again yelpers!…read more So according to the address this is the Bachrach in Opry Mills mall however the pictures posted are not the one I'm used to. I feel like these photos are pre-flood even though the year they were posted (2016) was after the flood. So I'm going to review based on Bachrach as I know it now... which is incredible. Now this is not a place I have ever before shopped at or anything like it, I'm not much of a suit guy (sadly). I once went here on a whim because I had extra money to spend (for once) and I realised that I didn't have any suits to wear in case I get invited to a formal event (as if). However, every man worth his salt should certainly own one or two good suits. It's no secret that this place is really quite expensive. A suit jacket is $250 (not including pants) and a vest is $70, though luckily the place does have sales. So I went in there once and an older gentleman walked right up to me and said some random numbers to me and told me that was my size as if he could just tell by looking at me. Well guess what? I didn't even know my size and he was spot on because the suits I tried on were perfect fits. I had to get my pants hemmed but that cost very little and was worth it. I tell you, I was actually looking forward to spending exorbitant amounts of money there after the man helped me as I did. Months later we're friends and he's my go-to guy for fashion advice. Will never buy a suit anywhere else so long as he works at Bachrach. Happy yelping!
