I wasn't sure what to expect but all the different ingredients made for an enjoyable bowl. The bread bowl also contributed by thickening the soup as it abosrbed the broth. The duck breast with smoked plum sauce was thick, cooked medium and very tender. There was a little too much sauce for me but I liked the different taste. The side of glazed carrots and peas had a hint of sweetness and completed the dish along with the potato gnocchi. Service overall was good and efficient. Would return.

Although this year I have visited this place on a weeknight so I can't speak for weekends... Altogether I really recommend this place. it is totally unpretentious and is really impressive for those who like antique furniture and decorations, without even trying. There is self service, so don't wait for somebody to take your order - you need to go to the bar to place it. but the staff will clear the tables of course.
