Another time I needed a notary. Left messages, Noone ever called back. The last tax return was awful as you might imagine. They answered zero questions I posed in my paperwork, instead they just filed my returns without that critical info. I also feel they line charge for many items that should just be part of the service. When called to get help with getting copies of my returns sent to my new tax preparer. They said it's $75 per year. I said this is part of why I left. She hung up on me. GO ELSEWHERE FOR TAX PREPARATION

No one looks at your stuff, but one person who doesn't even have her CPA license. After reading the great reviews I tried to call today to see if Tim might be a good fit for our business and 2 families that own the business. When he picked up the phone it sounded like I interrupted him. I asked if it was a good time to talk. He was a bit short-sounding in his response, so reading that, I asked if there might be a better time to connect. Again, the reply was short in tone and certainly not what I was looking for in a person who would be this important in our lives. I am happy he seemingly has enough business, but I guess we will have to continue our search.

They are also apparently H&M tax preparation. Heather McTavish's CPA license is inactive as of June 30th. She claims to be an Enrolled Agent but she is not currently authorized by the IRS as a CPA or Enrolled Agent. You should consider filing a police report and a complaint with the Better Business Bureau based on the experiences you have had. Absolutely deplorable tax accountant, we used Heather for years and then came back to her in 2018…read more My husband and I thought all of our taxes were being filed correctly and on time, only to receive letters from the IRS and FTB starting in December of 2022 that our corporate taxes were filed incorrectly for 2018 & 2019 AND 2021 corporate taxes were filed 7 months late. We tried to contact Heather and her staff by email and phone to no avail and no resolution. After 2 trips to her office in an attempt to get the specific requirements by the IRS and the FTB resolved, we are now sitting in her office (for the 3rd time this week) for 2 plus hours and the clock is still ticking, AND we are still waiting for all of the documents to address all of the misfiled tax documents by Heather. We incurred over $1750 in interest and penalties for the incorrect computation on taxes and for filing taxes 7 months late. She refuses to refund us for the penalty's and interest, although we submitted the tax paperwork on time, paid the taxes on time and paid her fees for work performed on time. If you want a shoddy shady accountant, who takes zero responsibility for her work Heather is a go to for sure!
