The difference was immediate; he came home happy, relaxed, and full of stories about his day. The outdoor space is incredible. The kids are outside every day--rain, snow, or shine. They enjoy the playground, checking the veggie garden, nature walks, stomping in puddles, playing in the snow, and much more. We also love the mixed-age setup. The older kids learn empathy and confidence by helping the little ones, and the younger kids pick things up so fast by watching and joining in. Both of our boys have grown so much socially and with language since starting here. Tania is warm, communicative, and incredibly organized. She really knows each child and supports their interests. The environment is calm, spotless, safe, and feels like a second home for our children. With flexible drop-offs, home-cooked meals, and so much love and care, Happy Younglings is truly a special place.

A Heartfelt Goodbye to Our Happy Younglings Family!…read more As we prepare for our youngest to graduate from Happy Younglings, I feel gratitude and a touch of bittersweet emotion. This isn't just a daycare; it's been a second home for both of our daughters. From the moment our first child started here, we've been consistently impressed. The providers at Happy Younglings are wonderful--warm, loving, and invested in each child's well-being. My girls adore them, treating them like bonus aunts. One of the things I've always appreciated is the fresh, healthy meals. My picky eaters sometimes only ate their veggies at daycare. Beyond the excellent care and healthy food, Happy Younglings has been instrumental in helping us navigate major developmental milestones. From learning to crawl and first steps to introducing solid foods and, of course, the monumental task of potty training, their support and guidance have been invaluable. They celebrate every achievement with enthusiasm alongside us. If you're looking for a daycare where your child will thrive, be nourished, and feel loved, look no further.

His then teacher (Ms Yashu) went out of her way to print out the phonetic spelling of Korean words and put it in her classroom to further communicate with my child. I thought that was so endearing and that they truly want everyone to be included. On top of that, they have done a great job potty training him so now he can go to the bathroom by himself as a 3 year old. Even his new teachers learned some Korean words to communicate with him as well. I also really like how in the Goddard app they specify what he ate and didn't eat from the school lunches, or even the separate snacks I provide him every day. It gives me an idea of what his favorites are, and what he enjoys eating. The multiple photos a day they provide are always a great snapchat of his fun-filled day. They have somewhat of a curriculum, which is great for kids to get accustomed to at a young age. They have weekly activities such as PE, learning Chinese, learning Spanish, singing songs with an instructor, as well as plenty of outdoor time. Laura (the owner) does a great job in running the show because there are so many events per month that really show you that they care and that it really is one big family. There are multiple Fall events, Halloween parade, Parent appreciation days, International night, back to school nights, etc. It almost feels as if there's one every other week! After touring between maybe five other daycares, I'm very happy with our decision to come here. The progress my son has had in learning English, learning the alphabet and numbers, potty training, as well as becoming more nimble with his arms and legs. Thank you for everything Goddard of Tysons!

This review is based on my experience, I am not a care or education specialist. The below is purely…read moremy observation and opinion. We have had our children at this Goddard location along with beantree Westfields. To me this was not a "school"- it was a childcare facility with childcare staff and not educators. For the steep price we paid here- there should have been more focus on education. Unfortunately- this location for Goddard was not run well: the two year old class had a teacher that we and other parents witnessed snatch, drag, yell at at and verbally accost several children. Despite three documented compliants to management (two written and one verbal) nothing visibly changed. This staff member remained at the school and even had the audacity to ask my wife on several occasions why we carry our child (a two year old at 7am). I'm addition: -nap times started very late and lasted until after three pm. -despite knowing that my child did not touch specific foods- it was reported on several occasions that he did eat said food. -there was no clearly structured teaching format and unlike Beantree- students were confined to a single classroom for most of the day. (This is my observation) -did not see any specialized educators or areas for them (an art teacher, tech teacher, etc- as well no specialized rooms) -despite proper notice and several emails- they did not give our deposit back! Although I am no school expert- both of my children shine at beantree but my son was visibly worse off and miserable at goodard. As a caring parent- I URGE YOU to look at multiple caretakers before you send your children here. The front desk staff is very pleasant and it's a shame because there are other excellent caretakers at this facility.

We sent our first child to Curious Kids with Suma and happily sent our second.  We really like that…read moreSuma cooks meals for the kids (centers cater their food), and we like the smaller group size (12 kids) compared to centers.  There's a separate room with 4 cribs for the infants (under age 1) to sleep in, so the sleeping environment is better than at centers too.  Her 2 employees have been with her a long time, so there's continuity for the kids.  She also supports early potty training, so she let our daughter go without diapers at 23 months (something that many centers won't allow).   I remember that once at a Halloween party Suma threw for the kids, she said that she loved our kids like they were her own and while it made me happy to hear that, I wasn't sure I believed it.  But now that Covid-19 hit, I really do believe it.  Even after she closed, she scheduled weekly Zoom calls so the kids could see their friends.   My daughter kept asking to see Ms. Suma, and she let us come by her home and say hi (from a safe distance), and said she missed us and we could visit anytime.  These were things she didn't have to do, especially since we aren't paying her.  Ultimately, isn't that what we all want from a daycare?  Someone who will love your kids like their own?

The assistant teachers at school are also very kind and loving .. Kids have a routine and they have some sort of activity everyday. There's a playground at the back, which is nice for them to go out and play. My son keeps talking about all the books Ms Suma reads for them.. Daily report at end of the day helps me know what my son ate and if he has napped or potty .. I did not have to worry about my sons well-being while he was at Ms Suma's. The food that Ms Suma offers is healthy with all fruits and vegetables I am happy with his nutrition while he's there .. if not for Ms Suma I would have waited forever to potty train my son.. she did train him very well so it was easier to follow Ms Suma's suggestions and get going! Overall, I am very happy about my experience with my sons language development and potty training !!
