So I had to pay for the exam and now I have to find another periadontist and most likely have to have another exam. They should have told me at the front desk when I arrived when I gave them my insurance card that they did not accept my insurance and it would cost me $150 for the visit. If they had done that, I would have just left. The experience felt very predatory and I would not recommend this office whether they accept your insurance or not.

The hygienists are very gentle and skillful, and the dentists are exceptionally thorough. They check the throat, gums, tongue, inside of the mouth in different areas, etc.--they're not just thinking narrowly about cavities or gum problems.
