I've been for just a realignment as well as for physical therapy. The aids that do the massage are sooo good! Dr. Cao is hilarious and all in all, they really are a family and make you feel like you're family as well. The Smart Body Chiropractor & Wellness facility has worked miracles on me to aid with my sciatic problems. Dr Hall has worked on aligning my body and using his tools and expertise to help alleviate my severe back pain. Ricardo has done amazing work with massaging, stretching, and working out all the kinks to assist with my lower back pain as well. Everytime I attend Ricardo works a new miracle and if I arrive feeling a pain level of 9 or ten I leave feeling a three or better. If you are looking for a chiropractor, see Dr. Cao ASAP. Not only has he helped me with back, neck and hyperactive rib issues I have, but he has been a huge help in supporting me getting over plantar fasciitis. Anyone who has had PF, knows it's awful and the road to recovery is not easy nor short. The program of e-stim, ice, deep massage, active stretching and graston really helped me start to see some improvement...and I had PF for over 3 years and had tried injections, one surgery, etc.! I now need to stretch religiously and have the occasional graston, but I am back to running and LIFE! One of the best chiropractic clinics in Pearland. Each visit comes with 10 minutes of e-stim and muscle work from trained massage therapists like Ricardo. They can also do different techniques like graston to help breakdown adhesions and scar tissue. Dr. Vargo and Dr. Cao take the time to make sure to get everything aligned and moving properly. They also take the time to explain what is going on and exercises you can do to help maintain your adjustment. My job is physically demanding and they help me stay in my norm. Are you a Chiropractic skeptic? I used to be! My entire family has been "saved" by Dr. Denise Vargo and Dr. Chris Verheul. They are very sports-minded and their human anatomy knowledge is impressive. What I like most about them is that they will be the first ones to tell you to go - what I mean by that is that most Chiropractors will do their best to convince you to come for "x" visits per week - pretty much for the rest of your life! When Dr. Vargo and Dr. Verheul (known as Dr. Chris) get you comfortably functioning again, they will let you know that you don't need to come back unless you have a flare-up or something else happens. They are very thorough and make sure you know exactly what is "wrong" with you. They spend plenty of time with you so that you understand what exercises to do to help strengthen your weaker areas in order to avoid another injury. If you're a big, tough, strong, or hard-to-adjust guy and you're thinking that Dr. Vargo won't be able to help you because she's a girl... think again. That girl is a powerhouse! She made a believer out of my husband for sure! Dr. Vargo and Dr. Verheul couldn't be any more compassionate and caring... you are in good hands with either of them. They actually listen and spend plenty of time with you because they truly care. I have been a patient here for almost four years. After the birth of my daughter, I needed adjustments to realign my body. Now I go for maintenance and realignments from sitting at a desk job all day with poor posture. Dr Vargo is amazing. She spends a lot of time with each patient and makes sure to address any concerns and areas of pain. The appointment is usually ten minutes of electrode machine, then ten minutes of muscle work (massage) and then the actual adjustments by the doctor so the muscles are loose and allow adequate movement for the adjustment. The entire appointment is usually about an hour after you are an established patient (initial appointment is longer due to paperwork and patient history). The doctor will also do ART (active release techniques) and Graston when needed. The staff will show you helpful stretches to do at home to maintain flexibility and relieve pain. My husband is a patient now and my daughter goes once or twice a year as well which has helped alleviate ear infections. I would highly recommend Dr Vargo to anyone. They also offer late and some weekend appointments which is a plus. read more
