My mom has been going here for over 15 years and Sue has brought excellent service. She's transparent and we've always had friendly interactions with her. Unfortunately, that has changed for us this week. I came in right when she opened as the straps for my graduation dress was too long and it was not adjustable. She told me to try it on, she used safety pins to adjust it, and let me know she can have it done Thursday afternoon. I told her I graduate on Thursday, so if she cannot have it done by that morning, it was okay because I had a backup dress. She told me she can do Thursday morning and all I said was, "Are you sure? I want to respect your time." Not sure how that caused her to get angry with me but she immediately starts yelling, "If I say it's okay then it's okay! We're busy too!" I was caught off guard and tried to deescalate the situation and explained calmly that I understand she's busy especially with graduations happening right now, and that there was no pressure to even do the alteration! She gets behind me and unzips my dress, mumbling underneath her breath and walks away. When I walk out the dressing room she acts as if nothing happened??? She's smiling, writing up my ticket, and then asks if I was there earlier in the week with my mom. All of this happened so fast, and I thought I should just go ahead with the alteration because maybe it was just a moment where she was overwhelmed and was having a bad morning. However, when my mom went to pick up her pants today she was very cold towards her. She ended up finishing my dress early and while my mom was there she almost overcharged her and kept saying "Bye", even though they weren't finished. We have been going here since they first opened and Sumi is the best and the most kind Korean lady. She alters our clothing needs with utmost care and the fitment after is better than the ready to wear clothing we buy. If there are any damages to the garment she always addresses the issue to our satisfaction. All cleaners mostly out source the cleaning part but she does the alterations herself in house right at the front as you enter and she has delicate hands and great skills. She will alter the garment to your liking and even recommend her input if needed. She always goes to the entire request to make sure we agree on it to have no issues later. There is a fitting room in there and there are no lines or rude personal, just Miss Sumi and hubby to help (hubby dont smile much but he is a nice guy. Korean men LOL) :). Love this place. We had a rush alteration for my fiancés pants for a wedding. Just like other reviews, the wife is the one that will assist you and she is the woman responsible for the perfect alteration!! Not just the length but made the pants more european fit. Great investment of $18 for a more tailored fit. Cute shop and she did not mind when i asked to take photos of her thread collection. People, tip her if you get something altered. She is amazing. My dress alteration was perfect! They brought in the straps to adjust the chest area, and hemmed the length perfectly--see attached photo. Became regulars for a few months. All was well. One day, I noticed heat damage on my husband's shirts. Another had damage from some sort of sharp object. It was scratched in three places, each scratch ranging from half an inch to two inches long. Yet another shirt had a hole, about half a centimeter in diameter. I asked what happened, and the owner claimed complete ignorance, saying my husband must have damaged the shirts from normal wear and tear. This was definitely not the case. One of the shirts had only been worn one time, indoors, in an office. She also commented that the shirts were poor quality. Somewhere, the Calvin Kline people are crying. I dropped off the shirts in good condition. I picked them up looking like some machine had chewed them up and spit them out. All three shirts were unwearable. I asked for my money back. She refused, saying if she just gave everyone their money back, she would go out of business. Well, she definitely lost our business. read more

Spent hundreds of dollars here over the past couple of years and then I went in with two dresses and one needed a lot of work and Sue being the seamstress I could tell was looking at the dress in a lazy manner not really wanting to do all the stitching for it. So she said she could not do it and if I wanted it done, it would cost me three times the amount it was worth. So I decided to leave and not give her my business and took the second dress as well. Fast forward when I went to drop some pants off, she claimed I had left with her precious pins on the second dress worth 2 cents compared to what I had paid her over the years and she also stated that I could take my pants to the other individual who I ended up taking my dresses to. BAD SERVICE!!! I will NEVER go here again. I'd been getting alterations, and dry cleaning done here for years. Then one day I had an alteration that was not done like I wanted; I didn't realize it until I decided to wear the dress a week later. Anyway, when I returned to have it corrected, she wanted to charge me full price again, and would NOT negotiate, in fact she walked away from me. I was EXTREMELY disappointed that after all the years I had given her my business she didn't want to work with me, even walked away from me, and wanted to charge me again for an alteration that was not done to my satisfaction. It didn't phase her one bit that she would lose a customer for life over a $14.00 hem on a dress, and a huge lack of customer loyalty, customer appreciation, and customer care. I refuse to give my money, no matter what amount to someone who refuses to work with you when something goes wrong, and refuses to take responsibility for her mistakes. Be careful, she'll take your money as long as things are fine, but if something goes array; she won't care, she'll turn on you quickly, and walk away!! I recently discovered this place thanks to my parents. It is conveniently located to the same plaza where I do my grocery shopping once in an while. Both owners seems really nice but I always get assisted by the wife. Fairly reasonable price ($1.95/shirt) for a wash and press. I usually bring in a few dress clothes that I wear for work that I don't want to ruin the fabric by using regular wash and dry. I got a couple of hems done ($10). I just started to utilize the dry clean service not too long ago and this was the first place I ever tried so I can't really compare as far as if it is cheap or not. Overall, I am a satisfied customer since I always get my clothes on a timely manner as promised. Would highly recommend, also to support small business. read more

What I like about Sue is that she will make any changes necessary to alterations to make sure it fits well, but you have to make sure you tell her what you want (i.e., shorter on the leg, tighter by the bust, etc.) Best part is that they won't break the bank. When I got my clothes back there were patches where the fabric was damaged. This happened to all 3 of the silk shirts I brought in.
