As soon as she started walking and talking, I was prepared for the next chapter--but unfortunately, what followed was a series of deeply troubling experiences. First, my 2-year-old developed unexplained black eyes. No clear incident was ever reported or explained. Not long after, she contracted a scalp ringworm infection, which I later learned was likely due to the unsanitary conditions of the daycare environment. These are serious red flags for any parent. I also had numerous unprofessional and upsetting encounters with a staff member named Victoria. She was consistently disrespectful and misused her authority. On top of that, they withheld incident reports that I am legally entitled to receive, along with financial documentation I requested. Things escalated when I pushed back against the disrespectful treatment. Because I did not respond submissively when Victoria made a demand--nor did I appreciate being dismissed when I asked to speak with someone in charge--she locked me in her office, called the police, and falsely accused me of assaulting a teacher. This was an incredibly traumatizing and unjust experience. After that, I tried to give another location a chance, specifically the one on Prosperity Church Road, hoping for better treatment. I spoke with Summer, who initially seemed professional and helpful. But sadly, our experiences only worsened at the second location. Please take this review seriously before deciding to entrust your child to either of these daycare centers. No parent should have to endure what my children and I went through.

Just from speaking to them over the phone, I could really tell that they were personable and jolly people. You don't always find that nowadays so I wanted to make sure that I let them know that during my tour. I was not able to remember everyone's name but the receptionist with the fade and the receptionist with the brunette hair and glasses were very kind and down to earth whenever I had questions or concerns about anything. Even the Financial Secretary (if I'm not mistaken) has been kind to me throughout our short experience with Early Beginnings. Unfortunately, my son and I were not given a chance to experience the extension of kindness in its totality due to being excused from the daycare after my son only attended a day and a half. On his first full day (8/14/23) I was told that he had some problems with listening and getting into the routine which caused problems within the classroom. I attempted to try and talk to his teacher about it the following day but was told that it was understood that this was his first daycare experience and to let some time go by so he could become acclimated (8/15/23). By 11am that same day, I received a phone call with my son crying nonstop in the background and was asked to pick him immediately. Upon my arrival, the Financial Secretary (I believe that was her position) spoke to me about how the environment was overstimulating for my child and how Early Beginnings does not have the staff to give him the extra attention he needs to acclimate him at this time. This truly upset and hurt me to my core that after just a day and a half of enrollment he was being asked to leave. The swiftness of it makes me feel uneasy and uncertain about any interventions or extra care that was taken during that time to help him, if they were given with patience and understanding at all. My son is not a neurotypical child but you are not able to notice it upfront. It is more obvious during social settings. Regardless of whether or not he is a neurotypical child, he should've been given a fighting chance to show whether or not Early Beginnings really would've been "a good fit" for him or not. A day and a half is not enough time to observe whether or not any child will be able to adapt to routines or learn to interact appropriately within a classroom and with peers. I really hope in the future the company will reflect on how unfair this quick termination is to any child and how it effects the child and parent emotionally to be turned away so quickly without any offerings of adjustments, interventions or even a conference with the Director and/or Assistant Director. Please take into consideration that every child you enroll will not always be pleasant or easy to teach and that it will require dedication, work and genuine love for what you do to assist any child in this World.

Even with the transition of her going to a different class once she got older, the experience of both classrooms were great. The teachers love the students like Their own, but including healthy boundaries. My child loved her teachers so much she would look forward to Going to "school" and would have a story to tell About all she learned and did for the day at pick Up. Early beginnings really made enrolling our daughter at a new school pleasant for both of us. The communication is great and modern from the apps used, Cameras in class and the emails from staff; you are able to have open communication with the teachers and staff. The staff is knowledgeable and it's amazing how they Learn and know all of the students to greet them upon arrival. They have all kinds of fun activities for the kids and sometimes parents too. I loved the theme days! It kept the day exciting and the kids look forward to going to school. If you are not one of the people who are ashamed to discuss the goodness of God, I believe you'll enjoy this place as they have values in forgiveness, prayer, and love. I also love the diversity of the students and staff, that truly mirrors the world we live in and gives your child additional layers. We felt comfortable with our Child going here and though she graduated pre-k, she is still mentioning her previous teacher over the Summer. My child was not enrolled as an infant, however as a 3-5year old, we loved every bit and she learned a lot!Thank you for all that you do! I pray this place continues to grow and keep God first. The teachers were caring, communication was strong, and the leadership team was responsive whenever concerns arose. Unfortunately, after the transition to Learning Jungle, our experience changed significantly. Over time, we experienced frequent turnover among teachers, directors, and assistant directors. In one of my child's classroom alone, there were nearly ten teacher changes during our time there. The lack of consistency made it difficult for children and parents alike, and communication became increasingly inconsistent. My child has documented food allergies, and there were multiple occasions when she was given food she was allergic to despite having an emergency action plan on file and it was not always followed. This was very concerning as a parent. The event that ultimately led us to leave occurred when my child reported being hurt at school by a teacher. I contacted DSS, and both DSS and Learning Jungle later confirmed that video footage showed two staff members physically mishandling my child. While that was upsetting on its own, I was equally disappointed by the response from leadership. My concerns were raised not only with the center director but also with regional and corporate leadership. I did not feel my questions were adequately addressed, and I left those conversations without confidence that my concerns were being taken seriously. There are still some caring teachers at this center, and I appreciate those who positively impacted my child's life. However, based on our experience with staff turnover, leadership instability, allergy-related concerns, and the handling of a serious safety issue, I cannot recommend this facility. I encourage parents to review publicly available reports and conduct their own research before enrolling their child.

Even though I liked where she was originally at, within just a few short days I noticed how much happier she is at Sharon Academy. I think the teachers really work with the kids. No matter when I drop by to get her, each teacher/caregiver is playing or working with a child. I never happen by people just chatting away while the kids cry or which I have seen at many other centers as I interviewed many. They play pretty hard when outside, so dirty clothes (although not fun to clean) tell me that she got some fresh air and played in somewhere besides just the classroom. They make crafts and do specialized learning projects it seems almost every day and the kids really are engaged. Whenever you have someone else care for your kiddo, you will never think they are perfect as you feel you should be there instead. However they are pretty fabulous and I actually feel like my daughter would be missing a lot of learning and playing opportunities if she was not there and at home instead. It is obvious how much the owners of this place care, I see them everyday helping and supporting the staff. The staff has great educational backgrounds, and when I bring my daughter home (she is only almost 15 months now) I am amazed at some of the things she has learned throughout the day like when she makes signs to songs or has learned a little dance or words, etc. GREAT PLACE which means very long wait list so get in early and you will not be disappointed. It is pricey but so is everywhere in Charlotte for quality care.

We were greeted with refreshments, and everyone made us feel comfortable. Even though it was the end of the day, the teachers were friendly, engaged, and taking the time to thoroughly clean and prepare their classrooms before leaving. It was clear they take pride in their environment and care about the children they serve. The center had a warm, positive atmosphere, and I left with a really good impression.
