I did not have a good experience here. I called and was told the battery that I needed for my iPhone was in stock. Visited the store the next day and the tech guy took my contact info and told me my phone would be ready in fifteen minutes. I said I would wait right outside the store, in my car. After about a half hour, I went back in the store and the tech guy told me that they didn't have the battery I needed. I asked why he didn't just let me know right away instead of keeping me waiting. He said he was too busy to tell me. I was annoyed by his attitude but stayed calm, and he said he could order the battery and it would be there the next day by 1 pm. It was not. Did not deliver as promised, wasted a lot of my time and I had to find another shop to service my phone. Not recommended. read more

My five year old battery in my Galaxy S8 Active was fading fast. I called around and nobody had a battery or offered any service. When I was notified the battery was in I made plans to stop by for the install. Gunner, the boss was manning the fort when I came in, servicing a customer with laptop issues. Used them in 2021- no problem. Today I take an iPad and told them my home butting doesn't work. The screen had a crack and they quoted me a ok price. When I PICKED IT UP they told me Touch OD would not work as Apple is the one that reprograms it. It is a feature I always use and was not told that when I dropped it off otherwise I would have taken it to an Apple Store. I'm so glad I found this place on Yelp. The staff was super friendly and helpful. I was so worried that my cracked screen would cost an arm and a leg but they were honest and it only came out to about $115. I cracked it at work while on the road and couldn't get it fixed because I need the phone throughout my twelve hour shift, which is during business hours. It got so bad I could barely read anything and it was cutting my fingertips. They only took about twenty-five minutes to fix and while I was waiting I stopped by a dive bar that was located two buildings over in the same plaza. I would recommend that place too. This place is great, I came here to have a swollen battery that started to liquefy to be replaced. They installed the new battery while I waited for a very reasonable cost. I had been to another repair place prior to coming here and it was a night and day difference. Let me start by saying that I found this shop because the place I originally purchased my phone through caused me to lose service by attempting to fix my charging port. Went back in to see what they could do about the problem and they fixed it with a brand new screen free of charge. Absolutely great service and was done in less than 20 minutes. My IPhone screen was badly cracked, so based on good Yelp reviews, I took it to Smart Phone Fixers. I walked in without appointment at 4:30pm, expected they'd tell me it would take hours or a full day turnaround so I'd need to come back another day, but I was happily wrong. They took the phone, told me to come back a couple mins after 5pm (even though posted hours showed store closes 5pm). So I came back 35 mins later, they handed me repaired phone. I contacted Smart Phone Fixer to fix my iphone 11 pro max screen that i cracked months ago. I was not looking for something very expensive since i was trading it in for the iphone 14 pro max the same day and get the most credit on the new phone. Within 30 minutes i received a quote on yelp from the owner. The quote was for $119 to replace the screen. It was the best price i have received after checking with few companies. I got there on Saturday and the owner greeted me, confirmed the price and fixed my phone in about 45-1h at the time as he had other customers to help. We originally drove to Boca to have a screen repaired at a place we had been to previously, only to find out that they went out of business. My eleven year old daughter was desperate to have her phone fixed THAT day, because you know, when you're that age NOTHING else matters. I yelped businesses closer to home and thankfully this one popped up. We had already tried the place on Congress - they were overpriced. We popped in here and within 30-40 minutes she had a new screen and we both had screen protectors put on our phone, and the price was still less than the place on Congress and Gateway! It's rare that I write a review about a place that I didn't even pay for services at, but that's half of the reason why I am writing this. I have a Motorola Droid Ultra, that at three years old, finally kicked the bucket. The phone ran into a software issue where it would loop itself at the boot screen. If I started the phone in "Repair Mode," I received a message that said "No Command." Essentially, the phone was not going to turn on. I assumed it was a lost cause, but worth a shot to see if anyone could bring my phone back to life. At a minimum, I would have liked to have saved a few recent files on it, but the rest of it had been backed up to Google before it failed. Three different cell phone repair shops looked at the phone briefly, and then told me there was nothing they could do. Smart Phone Fixer was then recommended to me by my local Verizon shop, and I figured why not give it one last shot. Surprisingly, Cell Phone Fixer spent a full day actually trying to resolve the issue. They took the phone apart, discovered the reason for the failure, but unfortunately agreed it was a lost cause. I'm giving them this rating not because they fixed my phone. I'm doing this because at no cost to me, they still spent a full business day trying to discover the cause of the failure. To me, that is going above and beyond. Even if the odds are against them, this shop will try to help you. I think that's all you can ask for from a business. To me that shows the staff here cares. If the next phone I purchase has a problem, I know where I'm going. read more

Brought my phone in for a software upgrade. I was told that it would be the same day repair as long as I brought it in the next day. The next day I was there by noon as agreed and I was told that's a technician changed his days off at the last minute. They took my phone and told me he would get to it the next day which was a Thursday. The girl at the front desk was very impolite and also advised they would not honor the Yelp discount because the repair was so cheap (but exceeded the minimum in the offer.) I called on Thursday and the tech said he had a problem loading the software and would have to do it on Friday. Around 330 in the afternoon I I called to check the status of the repair, and was told by the owner that he could not get to it because it was more valuable work to be done my job was only $35. He said he would get to it on Saturday. Around 3 p.m. On Saturday I called and they said that they weren't going to get to it because they were still too busy. By that point I had researched on the Internet how to do it myself so I went back down to the store to retrieve my phone. I sat there for 30 minutes before the girl at the desk acknowledged me. Granted she was helping another customer , but at least a it'll be a few minutes comment would have been appreciated. When it was finally my turn, the tech overheard me at the front desk and came out to apologize and to apologize for the owner telling me he couldn't get to the work because it was too cheap of a repair. I told the tech that I was going to attempt to do it myself, and he helped me locate the needed software. What upset me the most is that it only took me 5 minutes to reload the phone, and they had it for 3 days and couldn't muster up 5 to 10 minutes to get it done. Very disappointed in that they turned away the Yelp discount and would take my business elsewhere next time. 1 star for the tech who came to help me locate the software. read more
