I came to this location on Monday to get my iPad Air fixed. My headphone jack broke inside the headphone port. Before I took it here I went to another place and they tried getting the headphone jack out after 10 minutes of trying they told me that they couldn't take it out. So I looked up a different place and smart phone fixer came up on Google I went in and I explain to them what happened and they were very helpful. The gentleman in the back told me he would take a look at it he tried to get it out but it wouldn't come out because it had superglue in the port he informed me. The place i took it to before had put superglue in the port to try to get the piece out and since they put too much glue the headphone jack wouldnt come out it was stuck completly. I Asked if he could fix it he said he would check if he had the part and he did so i droped my ipad off and came back a few hours later he gave me the part that was all messed up as a suvenier lol. Ive been using my headphones on ipad air to hear songs that i record and i have not had one problem with the headphone port. Thank you guys so much for taking care of me. How refreshing to go to someone who claims he can fix your tech problem and he actually does! For us, that someone was Alex at Smart Phone Fixer in Boynton Beach. My husband had been given a loaner phone at our local Verizon store, after his phone had hit our tile floor and "died." While his contacts transferred easily at the store, there was a problem with the photos. After Verizon had tried several times w/o any luck, we were sent to their go-to problem solver --- Alex at Smart Phone Fixer. Solutions which should have worked didn't, for reasons I am not tech savvy enough to understand. Fortunately, Alex is VERY savvy/knowledgeable. He was determined to fix the problem and suggested we leave the phone and return in an hour. He was true to his word and we returned to find our phone in perfect working condition. Fantastic! Fast and Easy! Highly recommend! I dropped my Galaxy S4 and needed LCD replacement. First, I went to sprint. They basically could do nothing with my phone and tried to sell me a new phone. Then, I went to "Best Buy" where I originally purchased the phone. Again, all they would do is sell me a new phone. Next, I called around different cell phone repair facilities. Prices were outrageous and some places said I needed to wait for the part to be shipped in. I found the "Smart Phone Fixer" online and decided I would stop by as it is near my home. I used Alex's service a number of years ago when I had a Motorola smartphone. The service was great. Prices vary reasonable. I added Alex and SmartPhone Fixer to my contacts. I now have a Samsung Note 8. It slipped out of my pocket and landed face down. There was a small pebble that cracked my phone. my screen with a hole and spider cracks from top to bottom. I called Alex and ask if he was open (during Covid-19) and told him my woes. He said bring it down, he looked it over. Quoted a price and it would take 90 minutes to fix. Worth the drive from Fort Lauderdale to Boynton Beach :0) I called what places were available in the Fort Lauderdale area, not much luck. I was very pleased with the initial answering of the phone, taking care of concerns for my daughters new tablet AND Gunnar ordered the part immediately. He has the best price in the south Florida area and offers the same or better warranty then the competition. For example, Radio Shack sends the device out to be repaired and the prices is $199. Without a doubt the most competent and fair priced private smart phone business I've ever dealt with. My husband experienced an emergent problem with one of his work laptops that could have resulted in disaster. Gunner, very calmly worked on it and not only found the problem but went on further to program it, (I'm not techy) so it would not be able to ever happen again. This is a great shop. Great prices and service. The technician, Alex, was friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I needed a power button repaired on my older Samsung. I had the parts but I don't know how to do surface mount soldering. So I called a few shops to get quotes. First place said they couldn't do it. 2nd one said they'd have to send it to Tampa to be done. Really? How can a phone repair place stay in business if they can't solder?? Anyway, Smart Phone Fixer is who I called next and Alex said "no problem, I can have it done in about and hour". And his quote was a THIRD less than the place that had to send it out. Amazing. Wow. Completely impressed. I have a 64 GB iPhone 5 (therefore unfortunately making it worth the money to repair it lol.) and I took it somewhere else at first because I hadn't known about Smart Phone Fixer. Well after 4 infuriating trips back to the other place (won't mention names), I got a recommendation for SPF. Needless to say, I was completely amazed. They took me right in, went through my entire phone, found out exactly what was wrong with it (what the other guys messed up is a better way to phrase it), and did it all at a quick and fair rate. My 10+ year old lap top would not start up. I brought it here to see if it could be saved. Alex was able to get all my files and pictures onto a USB drive but the computer could not be fixed. Knowing I would now be purchasing a new one, Alex took the time to find out what I needed in a computer and gave me some suggestions based on his expertise. I brought my new one in to have some software installed and again he took the extra time to show me around a new operating system and get me set up. I dropped my phone into the pool, DID NOT PUT IT IN RICE, and called Alex. After he stopped laughing, he told me to rush over and he'd take a look at it. After doing some quick diagnostics, I left and he got to work. About 2 hours later he called the house with good news, but not great news. The phone works but he suggested I replace it because of potential problems down the road. I picked up the phone and handed him a credit card, but he wouldn't take it. No charge! Called Smart I Phone fixer on Boynton Beach Blvd about my charger port replacement.My phone wouldn't charge.I took it to them and was ready to pay them to remove and replace the port. The technician said let me take a look at it first.He took it to workbench and inspected the port.He proceeded to clean out port and told me there was lint in the port. Handed it back to me,no charge. He could of taken advantage of my inability to figure it out, but he didn't. He was great. I highly recommend this store for their honesty and integrity. Was really annoyed after I cracked my iPhone screen especially after I saw online that it was going to set me back somewhere between $90-$120 and would take about an hour but I found this place on yelp and asked for a free quote and was told they would do it for $69 no appointment necessary. Long story short I took it in the next morning and 15 minutes later I got it back good as new, would never know that the screen was once shattered. Great service great price great place! They managed to save my laptop that had numerous issues, an Iphone that had been wiped out during an update, and able to retrieve data from another Iphone that had literally(and of course, accidentally) marinated in salad dressing.
