The service has become abysmal (I asked 8 times for a review of my account in 2024 and never heard back) and their prices have become outrageous. In 2023 I paid $2,625 for my corporate returns, which I hand them on a platter. With no notice, they charged me $4,536 for my 2024 returns. Needless to say I am moving my business elsewhere.

Six months ago we needed to retain an accounting firm to calculate simple, unaudited financial…read moreestimates for our company. We initially thought to retain one of the Big Four firms. Unfortunately, we surmised that as the calculations were quite basic in nature and that no audit confirmation was necessary, we could use a smaller, local firm. We contacted the firm EisnerAmper LLP in Sacramento, California. In our initial contact we spoke with the Managing Director Ms. Jolene Fraser. We made it very clear to Ms Fraser that we only required unaudited estimates and did not require her to "stand behind" the figures. She acknowledged that Eisner Amper LLP could readily fulfill our request and requested our documents and a $7,500 retainer. We had slight apprehension when she required such a large retainer, because our retired KPMG accountant had advised us that what we wanted would only take an accountant only several hours to complete. We immediately sent off consolidated sales statements and the retainer....and we never heard from Jolene Fraser again. Over a month later, we contacted EisnerAmper LLP and inquired the status of our estimates. Ms Fraser, rather than contact me, called our company attorney and advised that her firm could not comply with my request and only was willing to do a "full blown" (their words) financial audit. This audit they were speaking of would go back 10 years and entail reports not requested or needed by us. Furthermore, the cost would be well over the retainer amount. We immediately emailed Ms Fraser and terminated EisnerAmper LLP. We asked for our retainer to be returned along with our documents. A month went by with nothing causing us to have to contact Eisner Amper LLP again asking for our company documents and retainer to be returned. After two more weeks our documents arrived apparently untouched, in the same order and condition submitted. We had to contact EisnerAmper LLP a third time asking why our retainer was not included with the documents. MS. Fraser would not get on the phone and her assistant "Mikayla" advised that due to Covid 19 our check would be delayed? We waited several weeks with no refund and finally contacted EisnerAmper LLPs headquarters in New York. We spoke with the partner over the western U.S. who advised us he would look into the matter. Several weeks later we finally received a check from EisnerAmper LLP but it had a large deduction. We reached out to the partner and he advised he would look into the matter. We requested an itemized invoice as to the deductions and what was done? We also asked for any work product that was completed. To this day we have received nothing. Can you imagine an accounting firm that does not give an accounting of what they charge? In closing, EisnerAmper LLP duped us. They originally claimed they could do what we specifically requested, then once they received our retainer they backtracked and claimed they couldn't do it. We ended up with nothing but a 3 month delay in our project. Our experience with EsinerAmper LLP was a frustrating and expensive lesson.

She asked me to spell my name at least 5 times and I felt that she was very annoyed with my long last name. I asked her to let Leon know to reply my call or email. However, I never got the response. A week later, I decided to switch the attorney and then finally I heard back from Leon. And he added some statements in the drafted settlement document from the opponent attorney, which didn't apply anymore. It costed me almost $1000. I am very disappointed that a almost 5 star attorney on Yelp provided a 1 star service to me. The divorce process was already depressing and this didn't help at all. Please stay away from this place.

Before I even sat down, I told her I wanted a quote on how much my tax refund would be filing with them...since H&R Block and another flushing CPA (Ruth Wu - Sr.Accountant of Liberty Accounting & Tax Services) provided me with their quote. All she was willing to tell me was that it's $50 to file, take it or leave it.... but they won't offer an estimation to let people shop around. So why have me sit down, and then look at all my documents??? I get more friendly faces attempting to file my taxes online with turbotax right now... they got cute pictures too and very user friendly platform... not to mention, cost less too. In short.... you're a paid service.... so how about learning some customer service skills ?? a smile? nicer phrasing when speaking to people? Ask Lily to give you some tips if you guys still keep in touch. She was so friendly about 2 years ago, we still look for her... We see Lorena for our tax preparations. She's super sweet and kind, and gets our taxes done in 15-20 minutes. Waiting to pay for check out is longer than the wait to be seen sometimes. We've been lucky and have gone during less busy times so we've been in and out in about 90 minutes. There's always a wait of course, the sitting area is comfortable enough as I always just bring a book to read so that we can listen for our names to be called. When arriving you write your name down on the clipboard, you can also write down the preparer you would like to see. If you see Renan Sr., or his son Renan Jr. then your wait time will likely be quite long as they are obviously the most popular and typically deal with heavier tax preparations like business taxes. Everyone here has always been professional, both in appearance and mannerisms. There's also a bathroom available nearby that's quite clean. You just need to grab the bathroom key from the front table. For my fellow drivers: parking around this area can be difficult. There are metered spots right outside on the street that it faces but those are sometimes unavailable so give yourself some time because you might need to circle or park a block or two away. The cost of tax prep with them is also laid out clearly all over the office. The transparency is appreciated and if you're confused they will gladly break it down for you. You can pay in cash or through Zelle which is our go to option. I highly recommend Mazorra Business services for your tax preparation needs. I even arrived about 30 minutes before opening and was able to be the first one helped, which made the whole process quick and easy. I was helped by Renan Jr., Kevin, and Renan Jr.'s mom -- and all three of them were amazing. They were kind, professional, and you could really see how well they work together as a team. The whole process felt organized and stress-free. Renan Jr. took the time to go over everything with me, making sure I understood it all clearly, which I really appreciated. When it's time for me to send them my information, copies of forms, etc., they first email me a document that contains about 20 or so items/questions that I need to respond to....things like my full name/address/SS....then info on charitable contributions...stock trades/dividends, etc. The usual. It's very easy to follow along and just answer the questions, save the document and then email it back to them. Uploading copies of 1099 forms, W-2's etc to their website platform is also very easy. In mid-Feb (when it's not quite as busy as say later in March, or early May), they turned around my income tax return in under 2 weeks...and I think closer to 1 week. I definitely recommend them!
