At 3:15 I called to check if he was still coming and got voice mail. He arrived at 3:26. He proceeded to tell me he tells everyone he might be 30 minutes early or 30 minutes late. He was so rude I said well, do you even want to do our job and he said no and left. I put this information on Nextdoor.com to try to warn others and that started his retaliation. He went on about me being upset because he was late but I was upset for being so rude to me and unprofessional by walking off our job. At that point people started sending me their thanks and telling of their personal experiences with David Payne through private messaging because they were afraid of his verbal retaliation. I hope this helps someone else. From all the private messaging i have received on him it seems he runs hot and cold. On a good day you might get a professional and one of his bad days you will get a major jerk.

So I was pleasantly surprised by my experience with Maria and Chano of Castro Irrigation. Their business is thriving and they cover a large geographic area so I had to wait a few days for an appointment here in Sarasota. But the appointment was very easy to schedule through both voice and text. They arrived early and were ready to start work at the scheduled time. They efficiently assessed the repairs needed when my last provider - a well-known establishment who seems to have grown too fast - failed to perform. They had all necessary replacement parts, including a new control board/timer, with them so they were able to complete the (unfortunately extensive) work the same day. Nothing is cheap anymore but I feel like their prices were fair in light of the work performed. System is now fully operable again - they walked with me at the conclusion of work to demonstrate. All in all, very positive experience. I would recommend this company.
