This is your place for all things equestrian and then some. Browse dozens of saddles, harnesses, horse blankets, riding boots, show helmets, curry combs, brushes, hoof picks, veterinary supplements and more. The store is large and spans two grand floors. There is ample room to display everything to it's best advantage. Look around to your heart's content. Even if you're not a horse person you just might want some great boots or perhaps you just like to rock the English rider look. I am thrilled that they sell my all time favorite DuBarry boots which I would never be without and aren't always easy to find. The black field and dress boots are gorgeous whether or not you are going to wear them to ride. They look beautiful with skirts or over slim-fitting trousers. The selection here is terrific. Prices are competitive and the staff is welcoming and helpful. Great to have this store in the area. read more

This dog (and horse...?) supply store is kind of like the Lilly Pulizter of pet stores. The collars and leashes are pink and/or green and/or polka-dotted, and some of their dog beds probably cost more than my own mattress. My mom even got a pair of preppy navy flipflops with white horses on them. I did score Woofie's bed here, for a moderately reasonable 50 or 60 dollars, and it is super plush and nice. Too bad he would rather tear up the couch or sleep on my bed...but, I digress. The staff was friendly and helpful as I attempted to stock up on pet supplies before adopting my lovable bundle of fur, but the selection wasn't quite what I was looking for. I don't recall them selling any treats, either. I know zero about horses, but they do also sell saddles and other equestrian accoutrements. read more

Definitely a destination store. Absolutely anything and everything you could possibly want or need to ride a horse. Sales staff is awesome. I don't own a horse. Nor do I ride a lot. But the sales staff will still take the time to give me 110% of their attention even though I'm buying their lower end merchandise. They run a "camp special" in the summer. Discounts when purchasing riding boots, helmet and breeches. The more items you buy, the bigger the discounts. What is nice is that it applies to any relevant item in the store - not just the kids pink helmet! It applies to adult sized items, at every price point. Turns out the boots I wanted were not in stock in the size I needed. So they ordered online for me, waived shipping fees and arranged for 2 day delivery. Plus honored the "camp discount" pricing. I don't shop here often, but when I do I am always happy. read more

Every time I come to the store everyone is so helpful, nice, patient and seem to genuinely enjoy working there. No matter how close to closing time it is when I arrive they are still so pleasant. They are just as helpful. And they aren't trying to push you out the door. As for their supplements...I swear by them. If my horse misses any for more than a week or two it shows. He will never be without his SmartFlex. Now I have a dog on their supps and he is doing remarkable. (I can do without the SmartPak pitch though.) My daughter went in to buy the cheapest half chaps she could find, but came out $250 later with good quality boots, half chaps and riding pants, solely because of the wide selection of items and superb helpfulness of the staff. The salesperson was very friendly and spent a lot of time measuring, searching for items and helping my beginner rider find the right items for her level and budget. We will go back for anything horse. read more

I had a very positive experience at the SmartPak store. My vet had recommended two supplements for my mare at unusually high doses. The store offered phenomenal customer service - although I declined assistance at first, preferring to just walk around a bit, I was welcomed warmly. When I did admit to myself that I would need help, I felt comfortable approaching the sales clerk. She happily assisted me, walking me through the shelves of supplements and reading the labels and dosing information to make sure that I would find the right product at the right strength. She then went above and beyond, hopping on the computer to look up various forms in which one supplement was available so that I could find the most cost-effective manner of administering it. She probably spent 15 minutes assisting me, and in so, has definitely won a repeat customer. To make the trip even better, I discovered that one supplement was available in the "bargain attic" at a large discount because the container had been dented during shipping. The "bargain attic" offered a large selection of other products at good discounts, many of which had simply been returned and were therefore lacking their original packaging. While I wish that the store's inventory was more expansive, it was neat, clean, and well-organized. I had a very positive experience, but if you are looking for a particular product, I would recommend calling first to be sure that the product is on-hand in the store. read more

I'm not sure where these other people were shopping to give it poor reviews... my experience with Smartpak has ALWAYS been simply brilliant. SUPER fast shipping, always wonderful service. They are more an online based company than a storefront and so the store is more for overstock, for returns etc, so yes, their store selection can be limited. Try ordering online. They have a price match guarantee and they are beyond awesome with returns. I wouldn't go anywhere else. read more

The people are so kind and knowledgeable! I went in to buy new boots and they helped me for over an hour, they were nice and understanding the entire time! (I have wide calves and one foot is permanently swollen from a horse stepping on it years ago, I've had the same field boots for over 7 years because of this and have just been getting them repaired) In the end we had to order a pair online and they helped me with instructions on how to stretch the boot of the swollen foot. We were looking to buy quite a bit of stuff for my daughter, who just joined an equestrian team, and needed more formal gear. Their stock was very limited, and there was ZERO customer service - we spent half an hour looking around, trying things on on our own, and no one offered to help. This place can't hold a candle to Dover Saddlery, where they have a lot of sizes and styles in stock, and will spend as much time as it takes to find something that fits (and is in your price range.) read more

I have had great results with this company. They price match, answer the phone with humans, offer on-line chat, sell supplement options for horses - yeah bug off! The staff is nice too. I used auto deliver for a while, was able to delay delivery, and even cancel - so easy. read more

The physical store is nice and the salespeople are very helpful and friendly. They carry a very wide range of products, although they are pricey. Their online store offers free shipping on most orders, and items are delivered promptly. So why the negative review? Simply put, I made the mistake of ordering "SmartPaks" (a.k.a. nutritional supplements) for one of my horses. Apparently, the first order was eligible for a promotion, so the total cost was about $90, which is a fair price for the Ultra-deluxe supplement that I was ordering. However, these SmartPaks are automatically shipped each month. So, imagine my dismay when the second SmartPak shipped 30-days later, sans promotion, at a cost of $180!! I received an e-mail notifying me of the charge to my credit card, then promptly called customer service, who told me that, while I could cancel future orders, the $180 order had already shipped, so I couldn't cancel it. Oh, and the rep told me that the SmartPaks are non-returnable as well. Quite a clever version of the typical bait-and-switch scam! In spite of my dissatisfaction, the customer service rep very firmly told me that there was nothing that she could do to help me. The worst part of the entire situation is that I have seen no difference in my horse's health since using the supplements. I may as well have taken $270 and flushed it down the toilet! read more
