I've experienced better."…read more Yesterday, a Saturday, I checked their website to see that they were open 'till 5 and made the drive from Arlington to Littleton to arrive around 3:20 only to have the door shut in our faces and be told, "I'm leaving early today." Granted it was a nice day to be riding one's motorcycle,but welcome to retail where you don't close the door on a customer well within normal business hours. Would I visit again? I'm not so stupid as to boycott if there were a good chance that they might have what I was looking for at a reasonable price. However, I'd never go again without calling first to be sure they'd be open and I recommend that you do the same. And some retailers wonder why so much business has moved to the Web? (Yes, I was able to complete my business elsewhere.)

I like to stop in to get my fly spray, treats & MSM - her new location is conveniently on my way to the barn. Nice new & used saddles, a good variety of tack & apparel at competitive prices. Nancy knows my horse from our dealings over the years & has knowledgeable advice & friendly recommendations. I always call her first, if she doesn't have it, she can get just about anything in a day or two. The store has all the essentials and lots of lively horsey conversation!

Saddles, boots, clothing and accessories can also be found along with horse snacks, brushes, and shampoos. There's a comfy sitting area with a kids playing area for those that might not like to stand while a friend or family member shops. Service is super friendly and thorough! I may not have horses (yet!) - but I'd absolutely shop here if I did. For now, I'll settle for the gorgeous horse jewelry sold here!

This is also the only tack shop that I know of anywhere near Concord without having to travel all the way down to Manchester. Make sure to use the side entrance as the front door is not the one that the shop is located in. If you're looking for something specific you might have to dig a little because there's so many items in this one little space. Ms. Sue, the owner is happy to order any items that you were looking for and she also knows all about horse training and is very knowledgeable. It is definitely worth the stop and I encourage everyone to shop with local mom and pop stores anyways.
