If the group had been in the pool and walked to the bath house with wet feet or wet shoes there are going to be foot prints. Hard water rust stains are not dirty it is a rust stain. What pool that is not screened in doesn't have a few bugs in the water. It is Miami-Dade County Aquatics Policy to not allow masks that cover the nose in any pool. Children could breathe in water the accumulates in the mask and that could cause Dry Drowning or Secondary Drowning.

The Redland Tropical Trail members include RF Orchids, Coral Castle, Everglades Alligator Farm, Schnebly's Winery, The Bonsai Garden, Robert is Here Fruit Stand, Monkey Jungle, Capri Restaurant, and Cauly Square Historic Village. Hitting all of these places, which I've managed to do, takes some time, as in four or five days if you do it right. Everglades National Park alone can take several days to cover and if you do go to Everglades National Park I highly recommend phoning the park in advance in order to get the correct schedule time for the HM69 Nike Missile Base Tour which the Redland's brochure fails to account for or mention.

It's an easy drive (beware speed traps on the way though), parking is easy, there were not a lot of people the day we went, and the trails are well maintained and easy for everyone, from kids to older adults. You will almost definitely see alligators, fish, birds, turtles, and other creatures on your walks. There's some nice shaded seating areas and good signage. Both trials are fairly short (less than a mile each). Bathrooms are fairly clean and there's a small gift shop. There's a larger visitors center and museum on your way in. All in all, a great taste of the Everglades that can be done in a half-day from Miami!
