At my first visit we also discussed treating my melasma--an incredibly difficult-to-treat skin discoloration usually due to hormones. She explained different ways it can be treated, but just how persistent and frustrating it can be even with treatment. With all this in mind, I chose to do the treatment she recommended and loved my results! Some of the hyperpigmentation has come back, because hormones and the sun exist--even with my use of hats and sunscreen, but that's just the nature of melasma. The treatment we did worked wonderfully! I plan on doing further work with her in the fall when the sun has lessened some of it's summer intensity and it will be easier to get a handle on things. Then afterwards she proceeded to massively spray down the room with Lysol as if she was offended that she even had to examine me there. It wasn't about my hygiene, because I take great care of myself. She was just seemingly offended by where the area was located. To my defense, I thought they were more than just estheticians and laser technicians (which anyone can get a certificate for), I thought were going to talk to professionals and expertise. After all, the name says "Southern Plastic Surgery & Cosmetic Laser Center", so I thought they could do more. . not esthetician and laser techs! However, whether she was offended by where she had to examine or not, I'm still a human being. I shouldn't be made to feel like this. I took time out of my schedule and traveled over an hour to be insulted by a tech. So if she was offended, I was much more offended. Futhermore, I didn't feel like she was personable or genuine from the jump. I'm glad I couldn't use her services. . . (Sidenote: the girl at the reception desk was very nice)
